You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United StatesTearai Iti was the perfect size and location for my family with small kids. The kitchen was well stocked, the pool was perfect for the kids and to cool off. The location was perfect for us as well. It is further away from the city center and airport, so it was a quieter area, but there were plenty of stores and beautiful beaches nearby.

New ZealandWe liked that all the rooms had air conditioning it made it easy to go to sleep. We loved the pool and used it every day. The house was very clean and had every single thing you would need on a holiday. We loved the washing machine as we were able to wash our clothes. She supplied us with beach towels as well as shower towels which is very kind. The kitchen was fully equipped with every thing you need. The property’s location was also amazing we had a grocery store right across the road and there were restaurants that were a walkable distance.

New ZealandVery clean and tidy with everything you might need. There’s a supermarket and pharmacy just over the road which is very handy. The pool was fantastic and the beach is just down a little walkway. Nice and private location and friendly and helpful hosts. We would happily stay here again.

AustraliaLease agreement required to be signed on arrival that seemed onerous for a Booking.com property, with emphasis on number of crockery, cutlery, glassware items etc. Also a clause on booker requiring house insurance! Property on main road, so some road noise from early morning. Lounge room inside cramped and would not cater for 6 adults seated comfortably. Beach accessible by walkway close by, but not suitable for snorkelling or swimming as next to an inland drain. Sea water was murky from river flow and beach was the most littered we have seen in our time spent on Tahiti island.
Host was waiting onsite on arrival (and we were delayed) so friendly welcome and orientation to house. Outside dining and seating area next to pool was comfortable. Property was well equiped and had a well stocked supermarket opposite and street vendors selling fresh fruit.
