Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHaving to leave!
Loved having the space of a two bed bungalow with a large cooking area and a private drying area, the biggest bonus was the private beach! Sand pathways to the beach with loungers, tables and chairs. They provided me with a hairdryer on request. Christophe came out after hours as I had a problem opening the glass sliding door. Christine helped on my last day with my checking out early to do a tour, letting me use the beach, shower and towels before my evening flight. They booked me transfers both ways as about 15 mins from the ferry harbour for the airport. There is a restaurant next to the village, book a table as full every night! They do a roaring takeaway business too. Small supermarket opposite and another bigger one about a 10! min walk away. Sunset on Matira beach, a few mins walk away is a must.

New ZealandCan't beat the location with 20 meters (or less) down to a private beach from our garden bungalow. The bungalows are fine - perhaps a little dark inside but you're unlikely to spend much daytime there anyway - but the bed was comfortable and we loved the outdoor kitchen facilities + large fridge, the garden setting, the friendly owners and especially the very social resident cats! The beach was lovely and it's a cool snorkel spot. You can hire a kayak and paddle across to the aquarium and coral gardens. A shop is across the road, and plenty of restaurants as well as Matira Beach all in walking distance.

AustraliaAll good, although sometimes I had to ask for housekeeping to attend to my room, and this often only consisted of fresh bath towels and some toilet paper.
Small private beach at the property. Nice view out to the pastel waters. The hotel staff were very helpful and speak English, although it also gave me an opportunity to speak/practice French, a language that has always fascinated me. The property is situated next door to the Lucky House bar and restaurant. Close to Matira Beach. There's a small supermarket nearby. Hotel Temanuata is on the Ring Road that circles Bora Bora Island, so you can find this place easily. (Hotels not on the main road, inland, can be harder to locate without signage on the Ring Road to advertise their presence.)

United KingdomBungalow rooms have fans, but still were not enough. There was no wind draft. so they were extremely uncomfortable to being inside or sleeping... but I will still probably come back there... ;) 😉
The location was amazing 👏 🤩 the best on the whole island. Has own beach with white sand. Close to the public beach. A few steps to the local shop and the best pizza from the wood oven.

You will not find a more better more affordable beachfront hotel in Bora Bora. The accommodation is spacious and clean with all you need for self-catering and it has its own private beachfront 2 min walk from the best beach on the main island. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble.

The location was excellent, we had a bungalow right on the beach. The beach and sea are beautiful. Highly recommend the snorkeling trip.

NetherlandsNo airco. and it gets really hot on bora. Quite busy & noisy at 6am in the morning with staff. And the ferry transfer was 2000 xpf extra because it was before 7am (6:50) even though the taxi only came a couple minutes after 7am.

New ZealandWe would have appreciated knowing that there are hire age costs for pushbikes, kayaks, early check out and also what times constitute an early check out - perhaps we are naive travellers - however, at our accommodation in NZ we offer these things as complimentary ie no charge..... happy to pay but would like clear indication that these are at cost. merci. we will be back.
Location is EXCEPTIONAL. All is Secure, Safety and Guest care and satisfaction is paramount. Xtra's / offerings for Guests is FABulous. Local Knowledge clearly pointed out on arrival - grocery store, local restaurants their happy hours and closing times etc.... valuable information. Bungalow/Room is perfect - a fully self contained, private unit within close proximity to other rooms, all very compact and quaint village with white sand from entry to the private beach at the other end of the pathway.

AustraliaThe beach loungers are right outside the room so in the evening people can be sitting a few meters from your room if you get the front bungalow. In the dry season when it’s cooler the rooms would be cooler, there is a ceiling fan and I believe one family bungalow has air con. But if you go in the hot, rainy season I don’t think it would be worth it.
We were absolute beach front! We were lucky to get the bungalow. No air conditioning but a breeze from the seas. Bora Bora is so expensive and really doesn’t cater for the budget traveller so we were lucky (although AUD$300 a night isn’t really budget). But the other bungalows in this complex might not have been so comfortable. There are beach loungers. It’s all open in the bungalow with a convenient little kitchen. Just across the road from a little supermarket and near the Avis office to rent scooters. The island is small and we found scooters were adequate. And it’s in walking distance to the famous Matira Beach - a stunningly, beautiful beach, voted one of the best in the world on Trip Advisor There are canoes and bikes for hire
