If you don't mind "roughing it" and living a little closer to nature, or as my friend put it - "authentically", you will take delight in staying here. It's not a 5 star hotel. Don't expect cold AC or a wet bar. You can expect attentive care, good conversation, and a delicious breakfast every morning created by Flora, the host and proprietor. An inviting white sand beach and clear water lagoon are at your back door. A refreshing ocean-born breeze will keep you comfortable day and night. An excellent cafe or "snack" is an easy 10 minute walk from the front door. I would absolutely stay here again!

My only gripe is the gecko poop on top of the walls in our bathroom. The rest of the bathroom and bedroom were very clean.

Maui was an excellent hostess and treated us like family. It was great to be met at the airport and returned on the day we left. We arranged a scooter through Maui to get ourselves around Huahine and it was perfect, all very easy. We had a delicious breakfast each morning and we were delighted when Maui returned us to the airport to be farewelled with a hei - I was so touched I got a bit teary.

    Everything was great!

The location right at the water front and close to the waves of the lagoon's edge was simply magical. I could just spend hours sitting on the sand, taking in the ocean's beauty and sounds, and the amazing views of the surrouding mountains and coast - not mentioning the exceptionally cleary night skies. The property is made so that you directly live with the ocean, both from the room and the dining/living area, including a cute seashell and flower decoration in the rooms. Very calm except for the waves (lovely lulaby) and the ocean breeze makes it nicely refreshing (compared to elsewhere), and it is easy to be in your own private space outside. The location on the island is nicely clsoe (8 km) to the main town with shops, restaurants, gas stations, banks, harbor, aiport, etc. while still convenient to explore the south side of Huahine. The owner Flora is feisty and incredibly sweet and generous, ans she is a star when it comes to caring for her guests, doing what she can to help and make their stay special. Scooter or car rental across the street. Overall my 5-night stay there were very resourceful and I was pleasantly surprised.

Hard to find... Perhaps that you can dip but not swim right in front of the house, but the nice snorkelling beach just around the corner makes it easily forgettable.

Flora was an exceptional host. She is so kind and treated us like family the entire time we were there. We had an amazing time thanks to her generosity and recommendations. I really can’t wait to visit her again in the future.

Like everywhere on the island, there were mosquitos. As long as you put bug spray on right when you arrive and keep it on, you’ll be fine. If you don’t have bug spray with you, Flora has you covered!

The location is close enough to town but also feels remote enough like you're on your own private holiday. Flora was a fantastic hostess and a pleasure to get to know! Her fresh caught tuna carpaccio dinner was better than many fine dining restaurants we've been to, and the company made it even more special. We also liked sharing breakfast with the other 3 guests and touring with them around the island. The humpback whales hanging out right in front of our beach were a nice bonus too!

The ocean breezes were great, but without A/C it was sweltering at times. However, we knew when we booked the place that there would not be any. It was a minor discomfort at times, but well worth all the positive aspects of staying here! We would definitely recommend to other friends who like a smaller more intimate place to stay than the big resorts. Very authentic experience.

nice location on water, close to coral gardens for snorkeling. Flora, the host was very accommodating picking us up and bringing us back to airport and finding us a rental car.

I liked the location but a car is needed to get food and to explore the island.

Great location, white sand out front, gorgeous coconut give garden, a short walk from the best snorkelling in Huahine, and Flora is a generous and helpful hostess.

I thought I would get a room with a Seaview but that did not work out, so it was quite a ‘rustic’ room at the back- however as a result Flora gave me a generous discount and hosted me for a a lovely dinner, so it was a great result in the end.

Flora was the kindest and most hospitable person we encountered on our 2 week stay in Tahiti. She went out of her way to help us and make sure we had a good time in Huahine. We loved the location - close to the best beach on the island and fantastic snorkelling (old Sofitel) and good hiking (Tapu). And only a 7 minute scooter ride to town. She takes a lot of pride in her BnB - it is very clean and welcoming. The room that we had was huge and even though it didn’t have aircon, it was no issue because of the sea breeze. We loved getting to know Flora and definitely would stay again

    Nothing.
