How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewIf you don't mind "roughing it" and living a little closer to nature, or as my friend put it - "authentically", you will take delight in staying here. It's not a 5 star hotel. Don't expect cold AC or a wet bar. You can expect attentive care, good conversation, and a delicious breakfast every morning created by Flora, the host and proprietor. An inviting white sand beach and clear water lagoon are at your back door. A refreshing ocean-born breeze will keep you comfortable day and night. An excellent cafe or "snack" is an easy 10 minute walk from the front door. I would absolutely stay here again!
My only gripe is the gecko poop on top of the walls in our bathroom. The rest of the bathroom and bedroom were very clean.

Verified reviewMaui was an excellent hostess and treated us like family. It was great to be met at the airport and returned on the day we left. We arranged a scooter through Maui to get ourselves around Huahine and it was perfect, all very easy. We had a delicious breakfast each morning and we were delighted when Maui returned us to the airport to be farewelled with a hei - I was so touched I got a bit teary.
Everything was great!

Verified reviewThe location right at the water front and close to the waves of the lagoon's edge was simply magical. I could just spend hours sitting on the sand, taking in the ocean's beauty and sounds, and the amazing views of the surrouding mountains and coast - not mentioning the exceptionally cleary night skies. The property is made so that you directly live with the ocean, both from the room and the dining/living area, including a cute seashell and flower decoration in the rooms. Very calm except for the waves (lovely lulaby) and the ocean breeze makes it nicely refreshing (compared to elsewhere), and it is easy to be in your own private space outside. The location on the island is nicely clsoe (8 km) to the main town with shops, restaurants, gas stations, banks, harbor, aiport, etc. while still convenient to explore the south side of Huahine. The owner Flora is feisty and incredibly sweet and generous, ans she is a star when it comes to caring for her guests, doing what she can to help and make their stay special. Scooter or car rental across the street. Overall my 5-night stay there were very resourceful and I was pleasantly surprised.
Hard to find... Perhaps that you can dip but not swim right in front of the house, but the nice snorkelling beach just around the corner makes it easily forgettable.

Verified reviewFlora was an exceptional host. She is so kind and treated us like family the entire time we were there. We had an amazing time thanks to her generosity and recommendations. I really can’t wait to visit her again in the future.
Like everywhere on the island, there were mosquitos. As long as you put bug spray on right when you arrive and keep it on, you’ll be fine. If you don’t have bug spray with you, Flora has you covered!

Verified reviewThe location is close enough to town but also feels remote enough like you're on your own private holiday. Flora was a fantastic hostess and a pleasure to get to know! Her fresh caught tuna carpaccio dinner was better than many fine dining restaurants we've been to, and the company made it even more special. We also liked sharing breakfast with the other 3 guests and touring with them around the island. The humpback whales hanging out right in front of our beach were a nice bonus too!
The ocean breezes were great, but without A/C it was sweltering at times. However, we knew when we booked the place that there would not be any. It was a minor discomfort at times, but well worth all the positive aspects of staying here! We would definitely recommend to other friends who like a smaller more intimate place to stay than the big resorts. Very authentic experience.

Verified reviewnice location on water, close to coral gardens for snorkeling. Flora, the host was very accommodating picking us up and bringing us back to airport and finding us a rental car.
I liked the location but a car is needed to get food and to explore the island.

Verified reviewGreat location, white sand out front, gorgeous coconut give garden, a short walk from the best snorkelling in Huahine, and Flora is a generous and helpful hostess.
I thought I would get a room with a Seaview but that did not work out, so it was quite a ‘rustic’ room at the back- however as a result Flora gave me a generous discount and hosted me for a a lovely dinner, so it was a great result in the end.

Verified reviewFlora was the kindest and most hospitable person we encountered on our 2 week stay in Tahiti. She went out of her way to help us and make sure we had a good time in Huahine. We loved the location - close to the best beach on the island and fantastic snorkelling (old Sofitel) and good hiking (Tapu). And only a 7 minute scooter ride to town. She takes a lot of pride in her BnB - it is very clean and welcoming. The room that we had was huge and even though it didn’t have aircon, it was no issue because of the sea breeze. We loved getting to know Flora and definitely would stay again
Nothing.
Thank you so much for your comment, i try to do my best for my guest. Enjoy your stay in Polynesia mauruuru
