Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We had an unforgettable stay! The warm hospitality and excellent service impressed us right from the start. The pick-up at the harbor and the transfer back were perfectly organized. The accommodation was spotless, and free water was provided – such a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was fresh and varied every day, and the view from the accommodation was simply breathtaking. Everything we needed was organized by our hosts, and the trip to see the mantas with the host’s sister was an absolute highlight. The small boat made for a personal and intimate experience, far from the usual tourist excursions. There were three of us, and we were lucky enough to gather and taste fresh mussels while the host’s brother-in-law and captain showed us how to find and prepare them. These special moments will stay with us forever. Thank you for everything – we would love to come back!

Tuaera Lodge is a little slice of heaven, right on top of a hill a 5min walk to the beach. The public boat from the airport costs 750 xpf per trip but the transfer on land is included in the booking price. The manta ray tour was the highlight of my stay (half day or full day option) I loved the dinner (2500 xpf) at the house and lunch at chez Mimi. I was also able to check in early and check out late and got an island tour when I arrived. You could not pick a better place on Maupiti

BelgiumFrom the WhatsApp messages feels like I’m obliged to ate dinner, which was 2500 XPF (21€) Nope, I haven’t stay for dinner, there’s a few eateries nearby even a pizzeria for less than 21 euros. What others get for dinner, a small fish shared with two, rice and a few slice of tomatoes. The room bill comes with additional costs as what on booking stated. Tax XPF 1,333 - water 100 per night - electricity 50 per night what a big bull. I never had this extra costs on other islands. I thought breakfast was included but they charged 14% tax I feel ripped off here. Bicycle cost 1000 francs for one day, not even in good condition, a hole in the basket I lost some stuff on the way during my ride. I don’t understand the 10 ratings from this place. I have been stayed in many pension houses during my travels, this was the worst place! Ripping off tourists. Stay away from this place! By the way, I give 5 ratings because the pick up is included.
The location is on a hillside of Maupiti where you have an excellent view over the bays. Pick up and drop off was included in the price. Small room and very hot, the fan can’t cope the temperature. My room is facing to their kitchen. No cupboard just one plastic chair inside. The shower sprayer needs a replacement, the bin wasn’t empty there was still trash from previous guests. The only thing that good here is the wifi. In such a small island I wasn’t expected to have this good connection in a pension house. Breakfast is simple with baguettes, jam and some fruits, pancakes was served next day.
