Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Our stay at Vai iti Lodge was excellent couldn’t have asked for more. The bungalows are tucked away in a superb jungle type scenery and you arrive at a large property where you have plenty of intimacy. And it’s beautiful. With a pool and stunning views of the ocean. It helped that we were alone for the first days. Cedric and Laina were very gracious hosts , kind and super helpful with everything we needed. The place was clean and quiet and beautifully decorated. It seemed like heaven to us. Nice breakfast, pain au chocolat and croissants and fruit juice and fresh fruits every day. Private parking. We had no trouble getting there with a suzuki swift so no need for off road car but you do need a car to get there. Lots of things to do and see around as well. We were so happy there that we spent one day just hanging around on the property enjoying life.

CanadaAs they are off the grid, it’s understandable that there is no air conditioning, however took us a few days to figure out how to keep the room cool without being eaten by bugs (1 fan on, windows open with shear curtain closed, sliding doors closed). I wish this info has been told to us or written in the room.
The rooms are lovely and quaint. The surrounding grounds are truly like paradise. The owners are friendly and approachable. Nothing compares to eating fresh fruit straight off the tree in such an idyllic location.

AustriaThe owners are very friendly and helpful! For the breakfast we were asked about our preferences and with lots of love the breakfast was served in the garden. The property have a pool with a stunning view of tahiti Nui and the ocean. You have to experience it on our own when you are here!!! It’s the perfect place! So in love with this location!

EstoniaVery difficult to find, particularly when dark. Google-map is misleading, need to ask additional directions, be ready for 1 km challenging dirt road
Spacious bangalo with everything you'd need, fresh fruit, baguette and croissants. For non-french speaking customers might be difficult, but with good will manageable

AustraliaKeep your eyes peeled for the sign and turn and off from the main road, only a couple of kms from the start of the Tahiti Nui ring road…we thought it would be further.
Lovely location with distant views of the rugged coast. Peaceful rural, elevated location surrounded by fruit trees. Great swimming pool and cabana, breakfast every day was fresh fruit, juice, baguette and croissants. Modern, clean and well stocked free standing cottage. Hosts Cedric and Laina were fabulous. Highly recommended.

HungaryNo mosquito net on the windows, no aircon (only one during our Tahiti trip). The mosquito net over the bed had a huge hole on it. I have pollen and dust allergy, and one has been triggered on this venue (mattress??? flowers???), so I had to take medication - this was not an issue in any other venues. The breakfast was very basic and not that fresh (baguette without any sides for it, older bananas and piece of mango). We wanted to see the Teahuppo wave (we did not manage though) and our host did not have any suggestions for that. The property has some good foundations, bit more care would be needed only to make it even better.
Awesome view to the ocean, spacious garden, good availability in spite of the dirt road leading to the facility. Flexible and responsive host. Spacious room. Fair pricing. Nice pool, well kept garden.
