Hinano was a very accommodating host, didn't see much of her or her family, but they were very helpful to us when we asked for things. She organized a lovely tour of the lagoon for us and we had a really great day.. The thunderstorm was incredible!! The aircon was great to have when I got sick.

Having toiletries available would’ve been nice

Hinano was very friendly and helpful. She came to pick us up at the dock the first day and drove us to the lodge. She also arranged a boat tour which was amazing. The property itself is simple but has most of the essentials to make a confortable stay. Location was great too, close to Vaitape and not too far from Matira beach.

Building is right next to road which can be noisy. Shower drains slowly, possibly plugged. Wi-Fi connection was poor making it impossible to communicate with host. No closet to hang clothing. Did not like that 2500XPF transfer shuttle is added as part of room charge. This should be optional to allow guest to arrange own transport. No place to store luggage after check out in case of late departure.

Clean overall. Large suite with a kitchen. AC in bedroom. Bikes available to take out. Washing machine outside each unit.

Lacking in some basics that should be provided: shampoo, coffee, any kind of welcome snack. Shower is not very good.

It is at the edge of town, so it is a bit of a walk to the town center (e.g. if you want to eat at the roulottes). Also, there is some noise from the street. That being said, I had no problem sleeping.

The owners are very welcoming and helpful, and make sure that you are having a good time without being intrusive. They picked me up and dropped me off at the boat from/to the airport (even though my incoming flight was delayed by several hours). The apartment is spacious, and there are quite a few amenities that were very welcome: air conditioning in the bedroom, washing machine (including detergent) available for use, reasonable kitchen.

The room was quite dirty (oil sent and on the walls), and the room is on the road so there is lots of noise.

Our host Hinano was super super nice! She came to get us at the port, and gave us a drive back to our next hotel for free. She also offered us the bikes rent to go eat at the port as we arrived a bit late. She really made the difference.

My bungalow had a little terrace that had, let's say, not the most impressive view in Bora Bora but that doesn't detract from the overall very good experience in this property. Also, make sure to indicate or inform drivers of the exact location of Vaiotaha Lodge as some may miss it. Just send them the Google Maps coordinates if anything. My advice to the owners of the property would be to put a more visible sign, however, its location on the main road is by no means secluded.

Nice bungalow in a rather rustic property. Inside it had all what's needed for a comfortable self-catering stay. The traffic outside was not as bad as other reviews put it, at least at night time. Perhaps, keeping the air-con on throughout helped as a kind of "white noise". There were some nice animals in the property. In particular, one of the cats had some kind of "personal" interest in my bungalow. You could also get an impressive view of the mountains in the centre of the island from the lodge.

Very close to the main road.

Super nice host, picking you up and dropping at the port any time you arrive or departure. Hinano was just lovely. The accommodation is quite big and comfortable with everything inside you need. We had a problem with the toilet not flushing and got another bungalow and the bikes for free for a day.

No way to really help but the bedroom is 10' away from the always busy main road. Bad for light sleepers though there is a pedestal fan for white noise.

It’s a bit far from town so you’ll need taxis or rent a car. Wifi is slow Toilet and shower have no door, only a curtain.

Hinano is extremely friendly and ressourceful. She assisted with different things that we asked and made our life easier. The house is spacious, the kitchen has everything you need and the shower was excellent.

Some Polynesian art and decoration would make the unit more enjoyable. There is no view of or access to the Bora Bora lagoon. It was fine for us, but if you can not do stairs, this unit won’t work for you.

This loft unit was located away from the main lodge by a few hundred meters. It was spacious, clean, and very well maintained. You can rent bicycles from the lodge. The hosts were great! You can bike 20 minutes to a great beach or 10 minutes to town. This is not a review of the lodge as we stayed at the recently purchased loft unit.

Not all accommodation rooms have AC. Pay attention when booking. Without car or scooter it's hard to reach Matira Beach and other places.

The owners Hinano and Augustin made our stay very comfortable. They truly gave their very best with communication, checkin, checkout and everything. Can recommend this place 10/10 - good location, scooter recommended, public beach Matira as well as diving center nearby.

The place is run down. Blood stains on towels. Old appliances, takes you back to late 90s. 20 years ago it must have been nice but now it's just run down. There are many dogs and cats but they are not well taken care of, poor things have dreadlocks. The plants growing around the buildings block the passages to rooms, which is a problem in rain. Generally it's a nice place but they must renovate and take a better care of it.

No need for this question everything was above the stars

The destination and property itself was amazing. The bungalow was a clean, large lving space that is now a home away from home. I plan to return, my stay was more than my dreams imagined. Everything I needed from basics to cook, clean and enjoy my stay was provided. Could not ask for more. Exceptional was everything about this property. The warm love and vibe of this place far exceeded my expectations 5***** being immersed by the culture of this buildings and its surroundings. Owners have become someone very dear to me with warm open arms and heart. I felt and became one of them it was like being at home with my family much love that was just there kindness, compassion and empathy that was a beautiful connection. Cannot wait to return to a second home :)
