Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceThere are 4 budgerigars/parakeets on the private terrace of the Maestro room. They are cute and sleep during the night, but can wake you up when the sun is raising...
The Maestro room is awesome, big and super cozy. We spent 8 days there with a 5-month baby. It was a real pleasure to eat breakfast everyday on the private terrace, enjoying a wonderful and peaceful view. Everything went very well, Valérie took great care of us during the whole stay. The bath is super comfortable and the view is so beautiful, we loved it (bathing the baby with that amazing view was incredible). We could hear our neighbors when we were at the table, but we never heard anyone once in the room. The rest of the family booked 3 other apartments in the villa. It was amazing to be able to welcome them for diner or play games on our big table whenever we wanted, or just enjoy quiet time next to each other.

United KingdomNo issues, but there were lots of ants.
A highly recommended place to stay in Bora Bora on the main island, less than 10 mins from Vaitape and the main public beach. The space was great with balcony and sun beds. The views were incredible and staff were very accommodating. Kitchen facilities are very handy.

United StatesYou do need a car to get in and out. The entrance from main road has a big muddy pothole. And, there're quite a lot strolling dogs.
An amazing experience. This mansion is a French artist's home. To me, it feels more Italian than French though. Paintings, statues everywhere, positioned beautifully in front of mountain and ocean views. Upon arrival, Valerie the manager greeted us with fruit trays. Figs was freshly picked from the courtyard tree. She gave us a detailed tour of our unit "Maestro". This apartment is big (more than 1000 square ft, open living area, closed bedroom) with fully equipped kitchen and come with 5 pet parrots. Again, the apartment is artistically decorated with the best view from the bathtub. The property also has a public terrace on top floor furnished with beach benches that you can enjoy great sunset view. Valerie helped us booked a table in La Villa Mahana, virtually just next door. This restaurant is said to be the only true high end restaurant in Bora-Bora. We stayed in one of the (expensive) lagoon hotels and quite a lot of guests arranged a tour to visit this restaurant (the trip is also pretty expensive), and a reservation made weeks ahead. Anyway, the food was alright by French standard, and the price is better than Paris. One thing to note, you'll need a flashlight to walk in order not to step on the snails on the road.

AustraliaThis is a wonderfully quirky, artistic place to stay. Don't expect perfection but expect a jewel in the crown for individuality, creative expression and original art of the owner. The location is serene with magnificent views (you will need a bicycle to get into town which are provided). The villa is also only a 15 minute cycle to Matira Beach which is definitely the best beach on the island. The Meastro's Suite is effectively a fully contained apartment in a mock Italianate villa; worth paying the difference for this space. We felt like we had drifted away to another era staying at Villa Yrondi. A stark contrast from our stay at one of the excessively priced international chains in Bora Bora. If you are going to Bora Bora to spend a fortune on an above-the-water villa; take some time to think about also staying on the main island in a place with individuality and charm and which is much more wallet freindly. It was actually blissful to have no TV but obviously there was wifi access. If you want screen time, do your downloads and take your own device. We certainly didn't need it in a space this peaceful with such wonderful surroundings. Exceptional. Thank you Valerie for your kindness.

New ZealandFrom the moment we entered this beautiful Villa, we were in love with the paintings and art it had to offer. The warm, welcoming, and kind hospitality of Valerie was a cherry on the top. Valerie made sure to check up on us every time to ensure we are having a great day and she did all our bookings and gave us information about the island. There are bikes in the villa that you can hire for 500 xpf per day. The villa gives amazing view of Mount Otemanu. It is centrally located is just 3kms away from the beautiful Matira beach and 5kms from the ferry terminal. If you are in lucky you might also get the chance to be picked up by the ferry by the lovely Dora, who will tell you about some great Tahitian stories.

Valérie is just the best host ever. From the first moment until you leave she will make sure that you are having a wonderful time. She booked a great tour for us, dinner places and cabs. And just helped with everything we needed. Same counts for Marianne who is helping out. I assume Villa Yrondi is also the best the deal you get in Bora Bora. Highly recommend it and thanks a again for everything 🙏

New ZealandWould have liked fresh towels after 2 days - but we could have asked...was just too busy being out and about Dogs roaming around the path/road up to the villa
Very quiet location and beautiful views to the mountains and motu in the distance Valerie was an excellent host and told us the interesting places to see, nice places to eat and things to do - even booked us a trip for a half day on the lagoon Was able to get updates of messages from her on whatsapp that she organised Would love to come back for a bit longer The internet connection was sometimes dubious although I took it as a sign to relax and to not try too hard at doing some work The aircon worked well

DenmarkThe only thing is the birds outside who make a little noise in the morning, but they are cute! And earplugs works perfectly!
Excellent stay! I dont know why there are so many unsatisfying comments bellow. I stayed in the room with a small kitchen right in front of the pool. The kitchen has what you needed. They were also salt, pepper and oil. The room in generally perfectly big. There is an air condition that’s works, not the best, but it keeps you cold ish at night, and it’s very quit. The room was clean, a lot of towels that you can use. There is plenty of hot water. The king size bed is REALLY good, the same goes with the pillows. I sleeped well and I usually don’t do that. There was plenty of closet space. The place looks amazing and is so cute! Yes maybe some of the furniture on the roof needs to be replaced but you don’t spend that much time up there anyway. But the view is spectacular! Valerie was so nice and helpful! Se let me use the room until I need to leave because there was no one checking in that day. There is a bike that you can rent. In total lovely stay! There is about 3-4 km to the nearest supermarket but that just a short bicycle away! I think it was nice to stay between vaitape and matira then you can see both things. I would defiantly stay here again.
