Swimming pool can use a good renovation. There are ants everywhere.

Very romantic location- a speed boat ride to get there and each bungalow/room was private Beautiful pool and surrounding gardens Stunning views across the bay Great food at reasonable prices Very friendly welcoming staff Well appointed room - mine was a 4 poster bed and a “wet room” shower with my own private hammock and seating area outside Canoes available to use

It was remote ( part of the charm) Which meant island tours were expensive. To get there from the airport I took 2 separate shared vans ( 250php each) You could get a private transfer for 2000php. No fridge in the room

Amazing, amazing, amazing Couldn’t fault this place. Great location out of town for a peaceful and relaxing break. Right in the heart of the WWII wrecks for diving. Staff very attentive. Food amazing, owner lovely. Million dollar views and sunsets to die for

Beautiful location, quaint pretty rooms and very helpful staff. Food was also good but a little pricey. Staff very welcoming and friendly, also very helpful to book excursions, island hopping, and motorbike rental.

Price of activities is quite high, higher than in Coron but then again much more efficient and less hassle to book!

Location was amazing - gorgeous sunset view & lovely pool. Quiet rooms and private. Comfy beds. Good value massage and boat trips

Lots of steps up to reception - accept the help from the staff to carry your bags! Menu was a little uninspiring. That we couldnt stay longer

Staff very friendly and eager to do their jobs well, owner was present, also really friendly and hands-on with management, food was great and worth the steep climb from the hotel wharf. I'd eat here even if I was staying elsewhere. Resort is located near several fascinating wrecks, and five minutes away from Gunter's Dive shop, the pioneer and specialist in Coron wreck dives. Breath-taking sunsets. We liked our experience so much, we extended for three more nights.

The thatch roofing in our cottage gave me a bit of an allergy.

This place is a hidden gem, a good standalone reason to come back to the Philippines! Breathtaking view, amazing cocktails and food, nice people, amazing view from the room (we had the one on top with 360 view on the ocean and the bay). We ended up extending our stay… we will definitely come back.

We stayed in the topmost room in the tower. The view is sensational. The bed was comfortable. We had several breakfasts and lunches and they were great value. The staff were friendly and we loved our time there. Ideal for people who are wreck diving nearby.

The hotel is excellent, the staff are super helpful, friendly and remember the smallest details. The rooms are clean and the views from the room and from the pool area are awesome. There’s a good choice of food and we stayed for every meal whilst we were there and enjoyed them all. A really exceptional place to disconnect.

Not really a problem but the arrival procedure and communication could have been clearer including options for hotel pickup etc.

This was the best room I have ever stayed at in my entire LIFE. Not just the best stay in the Philippines (which it was, by far) but also overall just WOW. You can get there by boat which in itself is very unique, and after you climb up the stairs they greet you with a smile and a welcome drink, and the views, oh THE VIEWS. Out of a fairytale. The fact that the room had no glass window, you were part of the outside, feeling the breeze. Laying on the bed seeing the see, palm leaves and the sky: it truly felt like we were in heaven. The pool with the views, happy hour cocktails for cheap, some great daytrips. Our whole stay was perfect, like a dream, thank you!

I can only mention some really small things to consider: the way up can be quite a struggle for some people. The bathroom doesn’t have a door, which did not bother us but it might be weird to adjust to for some people. For food your only option is the restaurant, which was good but of course not the cheapest. (The breakfast options are great though). And this did not bother us because we had our own scooter but we heard their shuttle and bike rental services are quite overpriced so better to have your own vehicle ☺️

Al faro facilities and the team are exceptional. The location is secluded and private (and requires a short boat ride to get there) offering private accommodation with exceptional bay sunset views, a super relaxing pool area and fantastic food. You do not need to leave for anything - everything is taken care of and can be arranged. Activities on offer are arranged with simplicity in mind and include everything from scooters, to kayaks, to diving, to snorkeling and more. The service is outstanding and the people are incredible.

Fabulous location with panoramic views. The accommodation was unique and comfortable - there was open air but the bed did have a mosquito net, so no problems there. No a/c but the fans and breeze through the open windows was enough. The climb from the dock to reception is pretty challenging but a small price to pay for the location and views! Fabulous massages too!

Glass was allowed around the pool which was a bit of a concern - if a breakage happened and the area had to be closed for cleaning, there any really anywhere else to go.
