Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesMaybe have the generator ready in case the electricity go off.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It’s just sad that I was not able to enjoy my stay that much, not because of the property, but because of the typhoon. If I were to go back in the island, I would stay here again. Thank you for keeping us safe during the bad weather.

PhilippinesThere is no bidet and the water pressure for the shower was very weak.
It’s on the cliff and facing the ocean. The rooms were built with native AMAKAN which adds to the island life vibes.

SwedenThe property is conveniently located near all major tourist attractions in Siquijor and close to the city. It’s very accessible and saves a lot of travel time. They also offer motorbike rentals, which makes it easier for guests to explore their planned destinations.

GermanyThe wifi didn’t really work in the room, but it worked outside.
The property has a nice view of the sea. It was perfect for snorkeling and to see a lot of turtles. The staff even came with us to guide us. Another good thing was that we could rent a scooter there. The location was also good and we really enjoyed our stay!

United KingdomLocation-wise, I’d only recommend to those with motorbikes as it’s far away from the main town where the restos and bars are. Trikes will charge you 300php or so for a single trip to town so it’s spenny.
Amazing location- right next to Tubod Marine Sanctuary and they provide free snorkelling gear!

United KingdomEven with all the windows open all day for constant air flow the room smelled damp. You’ll need earplugs if a light sleeper or to develop high tolerance for noise. I was in a ground floor fan room and could hear a lot from upstairs as well as snoring from the next door hut!
I received a lovely welcome from all the family at the property. They were warm and friendly throughout my stay. My room was clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of hot water and the water pressure was okay. It was nice to have access to free drinking water plus a kettle in the room with some tea/coffee. The garden was so nice all day but especially at sunset. It’s invaluable having direct access to the sea if you like swimming and snorkelling. The first time I went in I saw six turtles, and the next day - seven! There is snorkel gear to use including sea shoes which will keep you safe from the sea urchins. Thanks to all the team for giving me a happy and memorable stay at Almare!

United KingdomBy far the best place we stayed while in the Philippines. Location is perfect as you can swim and snorkel right in front of the property with sea turtles, fish and corals. Also it's slightly away from the busy tourist gathering spots, yet close enough to restaurants, walking distance from the Tubod beach and marine sanctuary. However, this is not all. There are only 4 seafront cottages and you quickly get to know the other guests and exchange valuable travel tips and impressions, but the BEST of all are the hosts. They have their unique way of make you feel at home and comfortable, always there to assist with anything you may need like a ride or worthy advice on your travels around the Philippines, not just the great island of Siquijor. It's the one place I didn't feel like I'm one of the million tourists visiting the country. We had drinks and meals together, we joked and laughed. MANY THANKS TO MARCO, RUALT, KIMMY AND THE WHOLE FAMILY! It's been a great pleasure to meet you, we will always remember your warm hospitality! Stefan & Elena from Bulgaria.
