Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesThe beds that are 2 feet deep, the 100 pillows that are cloud thick yet also soft. The FREE breakfast. The view from the cheap seats. There is nothing I didn't like.
Seriously, there is no better VALUE in the area. Depends on what you are looking for. This is my staple whenever I visit.

PhilippinesThe A/C wasn't as strong as I would have preferred but the resort makes up for that by having a generator during brown outs. Although the room had a ceiling fan, another portable fan would be ideal.
The breakfast was excellent each day and ordering convenient by establishing the order through the staff the night before or through email.

NetherlandsVery nice location, at the public beach. During low tide its a bit difficult to swim though. Rooms are lovely and spacious. We loved the homey feeling of the resort and the fact that its not so big. Nice to talk to the owner who advised us to take daytrip to Danjugan Island which was a day filled with nice nature and swimming. We will be back! Thank you for a wonderful time!

NetherlandsWe had the best stay in Amila Dive Beach Resort. The location is just perfect if you prefer a calm and relaxing environment. If you like an adventure, you can drive from Dumaguete to Sipalay with the motorcycle or arrange a pick up with Amila Dive Beach Resort. The property is very clean and the staff is just amazing helpfull and nice! They offer a tour too Danjugan Sanctuary and we highly recommend to do this tour. The price is very effordable and the snorkling scenary is breath taking! You don’t need to leave the resort for breakfast or diners, the food is really good. Lastly, we were so lucky to withness for the first time the hatching of baby turtles just in front of the beach. It was truly, our highlight of the vacation! Thank you Tobias for this wonderfull stay. It was just perfect!!

United KingdomThe only problem I faced was mosquitoes as they kept coming from under the door and loud neighbours.
The resort itself is very nice. Staff are friendly and very helpful especially the owner of the resort. Guests were like a big family during the dinner time chatting across tables and chatting with Tobias. There is a good size food shop near by to buy fruit and snacks.

PhilippinesI recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful beach resort. The property is small size added to its charm, and the elegant and serene atmosphere made it the perfect retreat. My room was a highlight, with a lovely balcony offering stunning views of the ocean. (A right height of the chair in the balcony could be more comfortable.) The local staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. I was impressed by the multitasking abilities of the team members, who seemed to effortlessly juggle multiple tasks with ease. One suggestion I would like to make is to store the wine and liquor in a temperature-controlled environment to maintain their quality and allow guests to fully appreciate their flavors. The food at the resort was exceptional, with a special shout-out to the talented chef who prepared delicious dishes. However, I did notice that some items on the menu were occasionally unavailable, which could lead to frustration for guests. To address this, I would recommend separating occasional items into a separate menu or offering advance notice when they're not available. The rooms were immaculately clean, well-laid out, and boasted high ceilings that added to their sense of spaciousness. Few minor issue I noticed was the shower drainage, which was not elevated well. However, I was informed that the owner is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it. Paper menu in the rooms could ruin the elegant of the room and I would suggest a QR code could enhance the experience. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this beach resort, and I would highly recommend it to others. With a few tweaks to address some minor issues, it could truly be a one of the best destination in Negros Occidental . Nonetheless, I appreciated the attention to detail and dedication to providing excellent service from the staff."

MexicoA little soundproofing in the rooms could make for a better experience. We are not super-early risers, and we could hear doors slamming as well as bathroom doors sliding open and closed as early as 7am. This is just an observation: We understand the rationale behind the quarter-full containers, but filling the shampoo/soap bottles and coffee/sugar jars halfway might provide better optics. How about using smaller vessels instead?
The friendly and hospitable staff made us feel very welcome from our arrival to our departure. Tobias, the owner, came to greet us not long after we arrived and he was always around to answer our questions or to simply check in on us. The comfortable bed and heavenly pillows gave us a good night's rest each time. Also, we liked how we were able to refill our water bottles at the bar as part of the resort's policy to eliminate single-use plastic. It's just a short boat ride to Danjugan Island, where you have the option to explore the island, go snorkeling, scuba dive, or paddle along its beaches. The beach on the resort itself is very small and not the best place for swimming, but it has a small pool that some might enjoy.

United StatesI thought the resort was going to be a little bigger, but it was not an issue. The swimming pool was small but nice it had some shade in the morning and afternoon.
Location and view were very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The resort was very clean and organised. The owner was very active with your requests from scuba diving to island tours. You can pre-order your meals to make it easier for breakfast and dinner.
