Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaThey didn't clean rooms until we asked them. We needed new towels and toilet paper. But when we asked they did it properly and without any problems.
Room was OK. I would just suggest better light in bathrooms without windows. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was not included but available for very good price. They arranged scooter rental.

Booked a budget double room, upon check in was shown to a room with two single beds in that were pushed together - I would call this a twin room. Immediately refused the room and had some back and forth argument with woman on front desk. She told me she was not the manager and then a few sentences later told me she was the manager?? After some argument and her pretending that she couldn’t help me or move me to another room she did actually move me to the budget double room I paid for. Room was full of ants and loud air con unit but was passable for El Nido, where the norm is very poor here and overpriced. Annoyed I had to argue to get what I paid for. FYI there’s no pictures of a twin room on their booking.com - I assume they try to fob this off to people and hope that people don’t argue.

United KingdomHad a budget price room for a very good price so cannot complain too much - however important to note the bathroom was very unpractical, ie shower head directly above the toilet, very squashed. Also on one day there was no power for around 4 hours, and a separate morning there was no running water due to ‘planned works’ although we had not been warned of this.
Perfect central location. Room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

IrelandLocated directly on main road. Traffic very noisy all through the night. There were a lot of ants in several of the rooms and electricity cut out occasionally. Roosters right outside the building and very thin walls made sleep difficult. No shower curtain making bathroom easily flooded.
Staff were friendly and provided great recommendations for tours, food and surrounding area. Breakfast was nice and very affordable. Room comfortable and decent WiFi. Location great for heading on tours or to Corong Corong Beach.

SingaporeElectricity cut off for a good whole hour when we just came back from an island hopping tour and were in the middle of our shower...worst thing that could happen in a hotel honestly :( Water supply in the shared space was really lacking, so we had to buy our own instead...
Staff was friendly enough, helped with arranging transport and even borrowed us utensils and plates to use, washed the dishes for us after we were done. Responded quite promptly to all our questions and requests.

United Kingdom1) No elevator; not good for people with mobility issues. 2) The location is right in the corner of Amboy Street and Balinsasayaw Road; very busy road, you can hear the trucks and tricycles from the room. Bring earplugs! 3) Free WiFi but very slow unless seated in the breakfast area. 4) Free in-room towels but very thin and short. 5) Nowhere to dry wet clothes/towels 6) Outdoor seating right in front of the road; didn't see any outdoor dining area despite mentioned. 7) Tea/Coffee maker actually not in the room but in the breakfast area only.
1) The day receptionist was lovely (apparently she lives downstairs -- sorry forgot her name); very friendly and helpful. 2) The location is great; close enough to walk to places, far enough from the busy Calle Hama. 3) Unlimited coffee + in-hotel mini store selling noodles, biscuits, ladies pads, etc.

TaiwanThe heater of the shower didn't work when I checked in. When I asked the frontdoor, none walked in and checked. So I think they knew that at first place, but still sold it to the customer. I asked the staff if I could switch room, and the staff just asked me to use some boiled water to take the shower. They just told me they will fix it tomorrow or somthing didn't work at all. None of them were my business actually. Since I was quite upset so they agreed to change my room to one with working heater. Then when I changed to the room, the heater didn't work either. Then finally, they changed my room and checked the heater first. IT'S BUSINESS, OK?

FranceWe had the single bed room, it’s located in the ground floor, we did hear everything inside and outside the hotel. It’s located near the main road, so we couldn’t sleep the whole time. The toilets are very small, you can take a shower and poop at the same time (maybe a good point?). The AC was so noisy, added to the road we literally had no rest.

AustraliaThis hotel is old and tired, worse still the noise from the main road (highway) it sits on is constant even through the night. The room stank of mould which seem to be coming from the A/C system which ended up making me ill for my stay. The bathroom is old and tired and a lot smaller than the pictures suggest. And by far the worst part was the managers dog that would bark constantly until late at night with no one trying to keep it quiet. Also the 3-4 roosters in the garden would start their crowing from about 4am EVERY morning. I ended up switching to a different hotel and had a far better experience there.. Dont waste your money here
