I wish my holiday was longer! :)

This place is a perfect refuge for all who wish to disconnect from the world and reconnect with the nature and oneself, all while being pampered by great hosts, eating wonderful food, and enjoying unsurpassed views. If ever I return to Camiguin, I would not look for another place - this one has it all. It is a perfect mix of quiet refuge and good company, as the hosts are truly wonderful people. It is remote enough to provide a quiet environment for rest and relaxation, and it is accessible enough to serve as a great base for island exploring.

The bed was slightly on the small side for us but still ok.

We had the most wonderful stay with Gelt and Janice - it was the perfect way to end our month in the Philippines. They are such genuine, warm people and we enjoyed their company immensely. An additional highlight was the superb food they made for us - so wholesome and super tasty! It was also quite a relief to be at a higher elevation with its cooler temperatures and there was a spectacular view out to sea from there. On our last day, we just stayed up there all day and chilled out in the peace and quiet. The perfect end. Note that the drive from sea level up to the house is quite long and because we just couldn’t face it on a motorbike, we hired a car which worked really well for us. But we were the first guests that had chosen to do this so a motorbike must be perfectly ok. I think we had just run out of steam.

Everything was FAB! This is a wonderful place to stay, in every way - primarily because the hosts are so kind, caring, friendly, hospitable, organised and fascinating to meet. I recommend this destination 100%. There are SO many fantastic things about staying here - too many to list here.

Amazing place that the pictures don’t do justice. Lovely hosts and animals! Breakfast is unbelievably good and caters for dietary requirements. Wish we could’ve stayed for longer!

Wonderful house up in the mountains with a great everchanging view. The temperature is nice and cool up there, no need for AC. Breakfast was really really good with fresh food from the garden and home baked bread. Most importantly, Gelt and Janice are the best hosts who are happy to tell you about the island if you're interested, make the best ice cream and simply do everything to make you feel at home.

This home is beautiful, and we felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived. Our hosts went above and beyond, offering incredible food, great recommendations, and warm hospitality that made our time here truly special. One of the highlights was spending time with all the lovely animals—we will definitely miss them! The experience has been unforgettable, and we can’t wait to return to the Philippines, hopefully soon. If you’re planning a trip to Camiguin, we highly recommend staying here. Staying at Gelt and Janice's little paradise in the mountain has been truly a memorable experience. The breakfasts, the garden, the views, the stonehouse and above all the fantastic easygoing hosts have made our stay there one of the highlights of our trip to the Philippines, and I am sure one to remember forever. All was amazing!

Even though I only stayed two nights, Janice and Gelt made me feel home. Their home in the mountains of Camiguin was exactly what I was looking for: a relaxing retreat in the nature. From the details and decoration of the Stonehouse, the lush green garden, and tasting healthy, homegrown veggies and fruit as well as banana cake and ice cream while chatting. I wished I could have stayed longer!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Janice´s and Gelt´s idyllic retreat, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Nestled in a peaceful location with breathtaking views, this accommodation offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Janice and Gelt were incredibly kind, flexible, and genuinely caring. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel right at home with their warm and welcoming communication. They were always available to help with any request and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. One of the highlights of my visit was the exceptional cooking. Every meal was a delightful experience, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and expertly prepared dishes that left me eagerly anticipating the next meal. And the coffee – it was simply the best! Each cup was a testament to their dedication to quality and their passion for great coffee. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway with amazing views, outstanding hospitality, and unforgettable food, this is the place to be. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and incredibly grateful for the wonderful experience. I can’t wait to return!

Janice and Gelt are just wonderful Host's. The Stonehouse they built is a beautiful piece of architecture. Very unique build and interior design, with all the facilities one needs. The view is a dream! Overlooking the ocean including Mantigue Island or you look behind and see the beautiful forest. You are up in the Mountain so the only thing you hear is nature, far away from the traffic noise. The food they cook is absolutely delicious with organic ingredients from their land. The food is so good I think I gained a couple of kg's 😋 but the best is just the absolutely wonderful Host's that they are. Very interesting humans to talk to and spend time with (if you choose too, they are very respectful of your privacy). They helped us out with everything they could. I would give a 100 stars but I can only give 10 😊 we loved meeting you guys, thank you for everything, till next time. Jordan and Barbara

The property is situated higher than the paved road, improvement can be made in easily accessing the higher ground

Breath taking view of the sea and Mantigue island. The couple host Janice & Gelt were very accommodating and served their guests personally. They provide free pick up and drop off. The free wifi is very fast. The castle suite is clean with complete amenities. Cold weather perfect for relaxation and nature-lover. Great garden-fresh food and spring water.
