Breakfast option is very less which is exhausting and it’s the same repeated meal day after day , I would suggest to add more variety menu in the list , and the WiFi connection is worse , you have to stay beside the router for better signal , and as I’ve being told that no swimming pool facility available yet only beach access , hope to see some changes in our next visit

The response time of the housekeeping is excellent , room size is great , this place has a facility of coffee shop and convenience store just around the corner with an ATM , and the front desk hospitality is superb

It was a little of a hassle to get to the beach, so if you are looking for easy access to the beach. It's also not in the center of action on the island, and transportation options are relatively limited. Didn't matter much to me as I was meeting friends who live in Boac, but this is something you might want to look into before you arrive.

The facility was nice, and the staff were amazing. I had to stay after my checkout time, so they let me hang out in the lounge and work on my photos. They also helped me schedule my bus pick up back to QC and informed me when the bus was over an hour early. There are also places to eat at and buy groceries nearby. The bakery next to the hotel had a mango cheesecake to die for.

No hot water in the bathroom. The arrangements for breakfast were not good. Breakfast was served cold.

The rooms were spacious and well equipped. It was conveniently located next to a few good restaurants including the one on site. The facility was very modern and attractive to look at. Good parking off the road outside the hotel

The room lights seemed to be a little too dull. The television only had the ten free-to-air channels, not much good for non tagalog speaking people.

Perfectly situated between Boac and Gasan. It's a modern, clean, well maintained hotel. The staff are first class, the food is terrific in the cafe(10YO Cafe), the room was well set out, the beds are super comfortable. A special mention to Paula, the manager of the of the cafe, and to her wonderful staff members. They do a fantastic job cooking meals and baking some of the most scrumptious desserts and cakes you'll see while on the island. All in all The Balar has everything you need for a memorable holiday on the lovely island of Marinduque.

The outlet is so difficult to access because it is behind the bed foam. Also, the bidet holder was not tightly screwed to the wall that it keeps on falling everytime we turn off the faucet because of the pressure. Lastly, there were some miscommunication on the food serving. Upon our arrival, the reception handed me a checklist of our breakfast and what time it will be served. But it seems that they served the food that we did not choose and it was served a little late. But the food was tasty and we've enjoyed it. Overall, it was an amazing stay at your place.

I love the interiors of the room. The staff were kind, accommodating and approachable. The facilities are complete. The food was good as well.

first of all, they advertised the hotel with WIFI capable but when we arrived in the facility they dont have good connection and sometimes you really cant connect. the room is beside a stock/staff room so if staff are getting their equipment or maybe bystanding you can hear their voices. There is one instance that they want to do housekeeping without asking us, they knock once and we told them we dont want to but instead they open the room and I was awaken because of it. the complimentary breakfast is nothing special and the bar is open and full of flies. price is not cheap and i would say not worth it since it was advertised as there is beach but swim at your own risk.

we were very with our stay. the staff was friendly and accommodating. the room was clean and had everything we needed. breakfast was delicious and the staff gave a separate room for our group of 8. I would definitely recommend the Balar Hotel to others and I would be happy to stay there again!
