We had a private room and it was really comfortable. Breakfast was provided which was great when going on a day trip. Lots of nice restaurants near by and some expedition offices were located very close which is useful.

Slightly noisy one night but that is expected for most hostels!

The place is also good for female solo traveler and the place is comfortable while staying at the hostel. Good as well to meet other solo traveler around the world.

Social hostel! Chilled atmosphere. Organised tour c for me and loved it! Free drinks were great🐓👍🏼

I got bitten in the bed and they quickly changed the bed sheets but it happened again. They need to inspect the room I was in thoroughly! My room also smelt very bad like sewage but they did give me air freshener

Free breakfast & free alcohol for 4 hours in the evening - what’s not to love? The rooms were clean, comfortable with reading lights and personal safes.

Potentially could do with a few more showers and toilets, but apart from that it was fine. It’s about a 10 minute taxi into the centre.

Good place with a vibe on its own..you'll feel it when you step in. Very helpful front office guys.

not enough place to dry clothes. a bit far away so need to hire a bike or tri-cycle every time.

    Nothing

It's so dirty and gross! The bathrooms are absolutely filthy. there is no space in the room to store bags. Bad location, it's on a main road with no beach access from the hostel, no view! It's not even social

Stayed 1N in the private room- affordable and decent compared to other hotels in El nido. Its a social hostel, very laid back and easy to meet people, free evening drinks, breakfast was simple but ok. cold ac, easy access to the beach

Not the property's fault but I do not recommend their van operator (el nido- puerto princesa) Our van broke down 2 hours into a 5 hour ride. We were stranded for 2 hours and had no choice but to pay someone to take us to city for another (Php 700-800 per person). So paid 2x this could have been avoided if their vans are well-maintained. -- low water pressure

The place is exactly as seen in the photos. The staff is very friendly, and while it's not a luxurious hostel, it has everything you need for a good night's stay.

The only thing I didn't like was that upstairs in the hostel, they offer free drinks every night and it's very nice. However, even though smoking is prohibited, some people smoked without being told anything.

The beds are quite uncomfortable and they do not have a real duvet for the beds - only a thin blanket. The curtains around the beds are completely see-through so they’re like pointless. There is no where to put your luggage so the floor is just covered in 8 people’s worth of luggage because they decided to fit an extra 2 beds into every room instead of somewhere to store your belongings. The prices are quite high considering the rooms and bathrooms and beds. Also, the wifi is absolutely awful!!! However, when my friend got sick with food poisoning the staff was really nice and helpful. The free breakfast is decent and the free drinks from 7-11pm was quite nice.

Good breakfast. Great coffee. Attentive staff. Clean bathrooms. Large common area. 30 walking to the center. The ac in the room was too strong. The bed curtains were see through.

    - Air conditioning good - Toilet paper available - Bed comfortable - apart from the toilets clean - free alcohol - free breakfast - Staff nice - Laundry service good - free drinking water to refill - Card payment partly possible for the room - Bed comfortable (and there is no (wooden/metal) grid/frame "at the bottom" of the bed, so taller people can lie more comfortably and not bump their feet...

    - safe could be bigger, so that you can at least stow your daypack there safely - a few mosquitoes - My bed was already made by the staff before the official checkout time, although I wasn't even ready yet - Toilets not good - Shower jet could be stronger - Bed curtain is too short, it should be longer for some privacy - Wifi - No shampoo/shower gel available - Towel had stains

Worse place I’ve ever been and I traveled a lot. It’s disgusting; felt like a dumpster. Toilets are dirty, showers are dirty. Toilet paper and water is finished all the time. At one day there wasn’t even water to shower. The rum is free in the evening. If you like to drink and don’t mind the dirty, this is your hostel. I felt worse every morning I woke up. At the end I really hated it.

Free breakfast, but that doesn't redeem this awful hostel

Dirty and dingy hostel It doesn't look like the pictures. The bathrooms are disgusting and dirty. always smelly with bad drainage and often blocked toilets! The rooms are really cramped with nowhere to store bags, so the room looks like a bomb site. The curtains only cover half the bed. I didn't feel safe, the doors to the room don't lock and the whole hostel is just open so anyone can walk in. The hostel is not on the beach it's just on the main road so no nice outside areas. The staff are bad, I needed to change my plans as my flight got changed, this meant I needed to cancel my original booking and re book a different date. I contacted the hostel through booking.com 7 days before the arrival date, requesting to cancel and waive fees, I received no response at all and was charged fully for a reservation! This is the only time I have ever been charged in full by a property, I travel a lot and have had to rearrange several bookings all other properties have at least partially refunded me. Big Paul's, didn't even give me the respect of a response! Very poor management! Avoid this place

Perfect for solo (or not solo) travellers who want to socialize. The free drinking hours from 7 to 11 pm makes it easy to just go to the bar and talk to other guests. There is free drinking water always available. It’s located in a much better beach than the one n El Nido so for me that was also a plus. Beds in the dorms have courtains for provacy, light and a charging point.
