Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GuernseyRooms are a bit tired, some of the electrics and the shower didn’t work very well. Pillows were lumpy and thin. Rooms could do with a bit of redecoration, I would say.
The location is superb, but the focus of the place is mostly on the restaurant/bar, which can get fairly busy considering the few people that were around when we stayed. Decent food and good draft beer, all at reasonable prices. Good aircon in the room and a working fridge. Nice cool and shaded small swimming pool.

One of the best hotels on Tablas Island. With a nice snorkeling opportunity in front of the hotel. The underwater world is one of the best in the Philippines. Very tasty diner all the time. I really recommend it to everyone.

United StatesTo have snorkel equipment for rental would be good. I had to go to the lodge a few doors away to get some equipment. It worked out, but to have it right out the lodge would be good.
Everything. Peter and his crew run a great show. Great food. Nice pool right at the beach. 10 out of 10 straight through.

United KingdomWe didn’t actually make it to the property as our travel plans changed. However, I emailed the owner to inform him of this and he very kindly said that if he managed to re-let the room then he would reimburse, which I thought was very decent.

FranceMany thanks to Peter and Geralidine for their warm welcome and perfect hosting to advices for visting the island. The beach is just 10m away and it is an excellent spot for snorkeling. Wifi was excellent (which is rare in the Philippines) and scooter available for renting directly at the facility.

PhilippinesThe infrastructure (road) going to the resort needs a lot more improvement. Only a few restaurants and stores operate in the area. Transport is a bit difficult to get unless you know how to drive a motorbike.
The location was well place in the beach area. Very quiet and peaceful. The staff were also great and very accommodating and courteous. I highly recommend booking at this resort.

GermanyWe loved everything!
Situated on a very quiet beach, Binucot Beach Resort is the perfect place for a calming getaway. The room was very comfortable for the one night we stayed (we wished we could have stayed longer) and it is just a few seconds to the beach. The food at the bar/restaurant was so delicious (highly recommend the Cornsilog, aka corned beef with rice and two fried eggs) and well priced for such a resort. There is also a water refilling machine on site. The owner is a very kind and welcoming man who helped us so much getting to the resort and to our next destination on Tablas. We highly highly recommend this place!

United StatesA few dusty corners around the room, but met my expectations for a family operated beach resort. Walked out my bedroom door and strait in to the ocean for some excellent snorkeling. Picked up a great collection of seashells on the beach.
An excellent American breakfast that included real bacon, 3 eggs and toast was a good value at 200 pesos. Lots of great German food on the menu at the hotel restaurant. Enjoyed the companionship of Peter, our on site owner and chef. Lunch and dinner are also delicious, most meals are 200 to 250 pesos. Yum yum!

Germany* cultural clash: be prepared for a predominantly german crowd (the locals call it german village for a reason), specifically older gentlemen who embraced the "no shirt, no problem" philosophy a little too enthusiastically. and, to put it politely, their political discussions weren't always music to our ears. * thin walls, loud neighbors: the rooms lacked soundproofing, especially the first one, which everyone had to pass to get to their rooms. prepare for late-night chats and early-morning wake-up calls. * vanishing act: the online photos showcasing cozy hammocks and daybeds on the beach played a starring role in our booking decision. sadly, reality offered only bare sand. hammock-lovers, be warned! * orderly chaos: the service, while friendly, had a tendency to forget or mix up orders. patience and a sense of humor became our dining essentials. * trickle in the shower: let's just say the water pressure in the shower was more of a gentle suggestion than a forceful cascade. prepare for longer showers and strategic shampoo application. * motorbike misadventures: we were excited to explore the island by motorbike, but the only one available was on its last legs. not ideal when you're so far from everything else.
* beachfront bliss: wow. seriously, wow. binucot boasts one of the most stunning and empty beaches we've encountered in southeast asia. crystal-clear water and enough space to feel like you've landed on your own private island. pure bliss. * spacious digs: the rooms were surprisingly roomy, equipped with two air-conditioning units (a lifesaver in the tropics) and a big bathroom bathed in natural light. a welcome haven after sun-filled days. * time travel vibes: binucot's remoteness takes you back to a simpler southeast asia. no crowds, no honking horns, just the soothing rhythm of the waves and the feeling of time slowing down. perfect for digital detox and soul-searching. * tasty treats: the food was surprisingly good, especially considering the island's isolation. props to peter's homemade german bratwurst, a delicious taste of home in paradise.
