We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe dive staff at the resort wasn't as friendly or involved as I would've expected from a dive resort (first time for me at a dive resort), only one of the instructors made the effort to approach and chat with us since we arrived, the rest felt very cliquey and very international, not many locals. There was a party one night for a few people that finished their courses and it got a little bit wild quite fast, we went to bed when the puking began, but at least it wasn't noisy...
We stayed in the new rooms and they were the best we had in all of Philippines. Huge, super modern, beautifully designed, fluffy and cosy beds, and the biggest TV I've ever seen. The bathroom was super spacious with great shower pressure. The pool and outdoor area are great and promote a social environment. The beach is steps away and there's a couple restaurants and coffee very close by, there are menus in the front desk as well in case you want to order in, and sometimes they organize dinner, you just have to make sure to sign up. Diving with Bongo Bongo was also great, the dive center is big and they have merch/dive items for sale if you want or need anything.

United StatesIt was sometimes hard to avoid the cigarette smoke in the common area.
It is a good place to stay and it has a very good dive operation that offers flexible options for diving Apo island and the many shore diving sites. I was in a private bungalow with no AC and worried it might be too warm but was extremely comfortable with the provided fan. The shared open-air bathrooms are very large and quite nice and the pool is one of the nicest I have seen anywhere. There is also a nice large common area.

NetherlandsThe best place for the rate to stay in Dauin. It has all the facilities you need + a kitchen and fridge to use. All is clean, new and looking very nice. Also diving via Bongo is one of the best. People are social and the staff is nice. You feel like you belong there.

United StatesThere is no real food service there except maybe once a week when they offer a dinner. You can order from the nearby restaurants to bring food in or just walk to them. Better notice of when the dinners were being offered would be great as we missed it both times.
The location was fabulous for divers. The boat was just a short walk from Bongo Bongo. The dive staff were all terrific and very helpful as well as very knowledgeable. The facilities and grounds are beautiful

United StatesThey occasionally make dinners but we were never aware when that would be and so missed out. Otherwise, you must order out and the food can be delivered. They provide menus from several nearby restaurants.
Our room was spacious and beautiful. It overlooked the grassy area and wasn't too far from the pool. It's a great place for divers as it's just a short walk to the beach and the boat. Dive staff were excellent! Within walking distance to the public market and other stores as well.

SwitzerlandI would like to point out that I really loved my stay here and would definitely like to return :) Small points to know about: In the new rooms, there are lights in the ceiling that cannot be switched off. Either you remove the card and have no AC (which can turn the room quite hot at some point in the night), or you accept that the lights keep shining. I had asked housekeeping about this, but apparently it was like this in all the new rooms and there was no way of completely switching them off (it’s like a dimmed night light on 4-6 spots in the ceiling). In addition, the soundproofing of the rooms towards the other rooms next door was not too well. If they talk loud or watch TV loudly it feels as if they are in your room. However, if this is the case after 10 PM there’s always the option to get up and kindly ask them to turn down the volume ;-)
Perfect place to go diving and relax in a nice little “oasis”. Very welcoming staff members, a beautiful garden with a nice pool and some “chill-out” spots like the hammock hut, and a great coffee place. I really liked their concept of offering just drinks (and the best iced coffee I had in the Philippines) and the possibility to get your food from a nearby restaurant and eat in the garden/coffee place area. There’s a nice place right next door offering delicious vegetarian, vegan, and glutenfree options as well as Yoga lessons (Anahaw Restaurant & Yoga Studio). Rooms: I stayed in one of the new rooms and it was very spacious, comfortable beds, good shower, all great. Diving: Great and professional team of Divemaster and Instructors, making diving safe and fun. The gear they offer is top quality and the dive boat is spacious. If you stay for various days, you get your own box with for the gear you rented from them and your “spot” where you can change/hang your things. The diving is amazing - if you love muck diving the shore and coastal dives are the best. I preferred the Apo Island daytrip with the beautiful reefs and great water visibility and biodiversity. Generally, I loved Bongo Bongo Divers’ concept of signing up for the dives you like on a board with 1-2 days of notice or even shorter for afternoon dives - easy and great flexibility.

United StatesThey really need to add some additional shared bathrooms. There were 2 shared bathrooms that were used for the budget single rooms that were also used by everyone at the pool and they had showers inside, so about 50% of the time there would be an unpredictable wait time to pee and you had to go use the gross one attached to the kitchen. Also wish they would provide protein with the meals on the day trips to Apo Island. Crew in the back get fish while divers only get vegetable curry and rice--not that I'm complaining about the vegetables because those were far and few between in the local food in the Visayas.
Best place ever and an amazing value! The hotel itself has such a cool vibe, the pool is beautiful, and the single rooms are a great value. The fan was aimed directly at the bed and it was truly all I needed, no aircon necessary. The dive shop was great, all their equipment was in very good condition, and my dive guide the best I've had in a long time. He gave great briefings and was talented at finding teeny tiny little guys the size of a grain of rice. Their dive boat is quite comfortable/spacious and the diving is very reasonably priced. They make it super easy to add everything to your tab and pay at the end. The smoothie bar is awesome and the system of ordering food for delivery from the nearby restaurants is so seamless. I barely left the property the entire week except to dive hahahaha. And everyone is so friendly! Definitely a great vibe at night and so easy to make friends. Staff really seems like a family there.

ThailandRegards airport pick up need better communication. However, hotel already apologized later on and explain that it's from third party. And it will be better if hotel will also sell more snack and meals. Plus, It would be nice to have at least 2 dishes of ulam during lunch at apo Island and changing the menu. We went to 2 days Apo Island Scuba and and the same veggies with rice in both 2 days. But the food is delicious and hot though. Moreover, it would be appreciate to tell in advance about camera fee.

United KingdomI wasn’t sure where to hang swimming gear to dry it. It would be nice to have a few racks or washing lines for the people staying in the new rooms so we don’t have to hang stuff inside. It could also be good to have a foot bath or tap to clean feet, as I felt I was walking sand into my room and causing unnecessary mess by accident.
I liked the location - so close to the beach and excellent snorkelling. The pool area and other common areas were spacious with lots of different places to hang out. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. I received excellent communication before I arrived, enabling me to upgrade from a single room to a double with air con. My room was lovely and clean, really spacious and with an enormous TV. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries, hairdryer and even an umbrella. Aircon worked very well and was quiet. The corridor outside the room had a dispenser for chilled or hot drinking water. Someone came in daily to refresh the room.

Excellent communication concerning the diving as well..Would have stayed longer if I could. Thanks to all for making my introduction into the diving world a magnificent one. My room was in the newly built small building and it was super comfy with air conditioning and private bath. Very tastefully decorated and larger than most. Bed was a 10 for comfort.

FranceOnly 2 toilets (one extra in the kitchen I discover the last day), the toilet are with the shower, so it can be long to wait. The 2 dogs are constantly scratching, I hope the owner takes them to the vet. It's not healthy for them and for the guest.

GermanyA beautiful and peaceful hotel and diving center located right on the coast in Dauin. I stayed here solo, and it was my first stop in the Philippines—it was a fantastic experience. I booked a single room with just a small bed and a fan, which was very affordable. It was great to have such a budget-friendly option for solo travelers. The only downside was the bathrooms—there were only two shared ones for the single rooms, and they were also used for the open common area. The property itself is lovely, with a nice pool and outdoor area complete with hammocks and chairs for relaxing. The staff is absolutely amazing—so friendly and incredibly helpful. I did my PADI Open Water course with Erik, and it was such a great experience. I’d definitely come back! :)

GermanyFor everyone who is searching for a nice hostel connected to the dive center. This is it. Loved the location - just next to the beach where we start diving. The hostel is simple but the whole experience is amazing and you can meet other divers while staying there. Their Mango-Banana smoothie is the perfect breakfast before a dive.
