Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

It’s basic. I have stayed at five different rooms here and some rooms are nice and modern but this is not one of them

The bathroom was not that great but ok for local standards.
We booked last minute and the check-in was instant. We did not have small bills to pay tuk-tuk and they paid him for us. The location is very peacful at the end of a road.

Wouldn’t stay here for more than one night, we just needed somewhere to put our heads between ferries. Wouldn’t have wanted to spend more than a few hours here as it is pretty gross.

WiFi wasn't super reliable.
Very cheap for a whole apartment! Clean and comfortable with functioning air conditioning. Good location for the University, about 20 mins walk into the centre.

Water pressure and hand washing leakage needing fixture. Kitchenware improvements.

The garden space at the rear could be better.
The room was lovely, large bed, lots of space with a seating area and kitchen. Two aircon units which were incredibly quiet. The owner could not have been more helpful. Great location close to restaurants and shops.

Bathroom was very small and could of been made bigger when the place was built as the room was huge The shower and sink in the bathroom as well as the kitchen had a lot of calcium build up from the water and not cleaned properly. Fixtures should be replaced

No water. I mean no water at all. I managed to shower normally once at 5am when there was some water pressure. Wifi from hell Roosters at 3am Dogs barking Some psycho neighbour burning trash, all that smoke goes onto your balcony
Location. Restaurants and mini stores everywhere. Close to the tourist area. Spacious rooms.

Clean and spacious rooms. Complete kitchenware. Accesible to parks, restos etc. They also rent a scooter. The staffs are also kind and accomodating. I would love to come back there.

The kitchen area was hot and humid. The entrance to the facility needs to be improved. Water had, from time to time, mud or soil.
We were not served breakfast. Not far from the town center.

Lack of hot water in the kitchen, no cleaning products provided, bathroom is very dated and needs an overhaul, garden views are non-existent, no toiletries provided, no tea/coffee was provided as is normal in all the motels/hotels/ B & B's I have been worldwide !
The staff were friendly and helpful although only one Lady (Rachel) spoke good english.........the two younger ones merely smiled. The area where the bed and table and TV were......clean.

Toilet and shower that worked, bed sheets change much more often, additional cooking gear
The location was good but about 10 dogs and a dozen roosters live very close, all day barking and crowing but got used to it. No room service at all, Kitchen was very sparsely furnished, with not even larger plates, only 2 bread and butter plates and a very minimum of cooking gear. The shower adjustment is 8 feet off the ground and you have to be 7 feet tall to make it work you have to stand on a chair to adjust and then it did not work, it was broken and likely still is. The toilet had to be fixed and adjusted to make it work (they would know). They provided a bucket and pale to shower, which was OK. All was OK I came back later for a longer period soon after. The shower is still broken and looks like it has been for a long time. The sheets and the towel was never changed during my latter stay which was much longer. I did them myself at the paid laundry adjacent to the estate's entry. I am an elderly single man from Australia 81 y/o. Mosty all was OK for 3 stars could be better with some maintenance.
