Air con. leaked. Lots of ants. No water pressure. Outdoor lights were out. Taxi/tuk-tuk drivers inconsistent and taking advantage of foreigners.

WiFi didn't seem very stable, kept disconnecting, room wasn't made up daily even though sign was left on door to be done. Fairly small choice for dinners

A lot of construction going on. Loud due to construction workers and not much privacy as they were talking around the windows and staring while we used the pool. We were not able to use the hammocks and some tables as the construction workers were using them. I wish there was a gym or other facilities to use besides only the pool.

They view was exceptional and the food was great. The delivery of food was good. The size of the room was great.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Upon arrival we were immediately made to feel at home. I liked that you could enjoy your meals anywhere on the property not just at the restaurant.

The staff although seemingly friendly, were not very competent and extremely slow to respond to anything at all. It didn’t matter how I contacted them. It could be through booking, WhatsApp, Instagram, email. Slow responses and it was like they didn’t actually read the thing that I sent them or the question that I had. They were not on time for any food delivery. I take medication and I need to eat at specific times a day. After all, if I wanted to check in two hours early they would tell me I need to stick to the time that they’ve dictated right? The facilities were disgusting. Like the pool. The room looks nice, but it was missing things like there wasn’t even any soap in the bathroom if you need to wash your hands. I didn’t swim. The pool was too gross. And there was insects everywhere. And it was like they left the net out for the pool so I would clean it myself. The location is far away from anything else. With basically no transportation unless they call somebody for you. I would recommend some other place. I left a day early even though I didn’t get a refund or anything.

Very low water pressure in the room and the AC was not easy to control, either too hot or too cold. Plus when the fan blew, ot was right over the bed.

Once we got there, everything was fine. The staff was outstanding. service was very good, food was good.

Ice Cold Shower water for the 3 days there Was told that I could pay for drinks and food at the end of my stay with a card yet was made to pay cash which meant going into town to an ATM to get more cash on my checkout morning The doors to the rooms need seals on them so the ants can't keep coming in Not close to anything if your looking for food options outside of the hotel which means at least 500 pesos if you want to go eat somewhere and travel roundtrip on the island

The bed was comfortable and the view was great as well as the sirloin dinner was outstanding.

Took 7hrs to make up room , had to ask twice for this to happen , linen , towels etc need replacing as old and worn , no bathmats etc , First room A/conditioner not working , payed for two equal rooms , when arrived one of lesser value , should have asked for refund No fridge in one room when site advertises a fridge in each room Asking premium price for second rate sevice

First the location, the road leading up to the resort is in very poor condition, you need a 4WD or a tank to get to it After 2 days the place changed internet provider with a small range of wifi coverage which resulted we lost internet in our room. The staff accommodated us by switching our room, however it was only available for limited days, ended up us moving back and forth multiple times throughout our two weeks stay. Not sure why they didn’t move the new people in our old room considering they were only staying a day or so, they should have accommodate us who stayed for two weeks. The cleaners sweeping the place at 6:30am resulting us getting waken up every day. If you need internet i recommend to book the beach view room.

The property is isolated and takes 45 minutes to go by foot down to the city or approx 300 per trip down and back via tuk tuk. I was the only guest at the resort and traveling solo, it was very boring and nothing to do there. The organise tour on motorbike was good but it got too expensive with the additional entry costs that were added without asking which turned out to be very expensive. The place is awesome but the costs per night do not justify, maybe it is the cost of properties on the island. The WiFi was not working and so even the TV was not, both Booking.com and the property should have refunded for these hiccups. You have to choose your breakfast and dinner at check-in and the choices are not really very nice It would be much easier and cheaper to travel to Davao daily in the night and stay in a better hotel which is cheaper and has value for money.

The property is am amazing place for a romantic getaway The staff are quite friendly, the manager Kristine made extra efforts to try and settle me in They even organised a Motorbike tour of the Samal island The food portions are quite large and the food is quite nice

None of these things ruined my experience I just think they could be improved upon. I loved the stay very much! ...The shower had very hot water however sometimes we would lose pressure and the heater wouldn't work. Just needed to wait a minute for it to pick back up again. Also the furniture was a little off. The table near the TV wasn't level and made it difficult to place things on it without them falling and there wasn't a night stand on both sides of the bed. Also we had a lot of power cuts. They were all very brief and probably because of the renovations they were making. The room had a refrigerator but didn't have a microwave but the staff did reheat our food for us. It also had coffee and tea but no way of making hot water unless you call the staff. Lastly the road leading up to the resort was a steep dirt/rocky road.

The view was amazing. Very nice that you can see it from the pool. The garden/viewing area was also very nice, plenty of places to sit and see mount apo and the city. The food was also very good and brought fresh to your room. Also the air conditioning and fans kept the room very cold. This was the best stay I've had since coming to the Philippines and I'm glad I chose to propose to my girlfriend here. If you are looking for a romantic place to stay this is it!
