Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesLocation is a bit remote, it’s a bit of struggle to go to restaurants/town especially during the night.
The property was pristine clean, from the common areas to the bedrooms and bathrooms, cleanliness was top notch. All the staff were also very kind and helpful.

GermanyUnfortunately, they do not offer breakfast (anymore). The staff recommended not to eat at the local places in the same street for water cleanliness issues. So the only options close by are McD and a nice but also pricy café at Vanilla Beach mall.
We and booked the accommodation spontaneously stayed for just one night before moving to our next destination. The room was very nice and the staff friendly and attentive.

GermanyPlease do notice that you need to climb a lot of stairs till the upper floor apartments (between 80-100 steps). For luggage staff is there to help but do take notice of that if there are any mobility issues. For us it was not a big problem. Also bathroom had standing water sometimes on the 3rd floor but the owner fixed it for the time being while we were there and they probably will make changes to the floor layout.
The place is 15 mins walk or 3 mins tuktuk ride to one of the nicest and few swimmable beaches in ElNido (coz usually beached in ElNido main island area are shallow otherwise). It’s called Vanilla beach. The staff is super helpful and would accommodate you well. The owner also organized scooter rental for us. Daily cleaning is very nice to have. The two bedroom apartment was spacious for 4 people. We liked the view from the 3rd floor apartment a lot. It’s a very nice place to stay especially if you want apartment feeling with bigger group. But do notice that there is no kitchen in the apartment. Only tea and coffee kettle is provided in the living room with cups. You also should not leave any food items loose open as in Philippines in general it would attract flies, ants or insects. This you need to take care of in almost every place in ElNido. Closest cafes and restaurants are also 15 mins walk away on Vanilla beach. ElNido town is 15 mins ride on scooter or tuktuk. Tuktuk to town costs 150 PHP one way.

United States150 steps to get to the room, no food service, no porters to carry luggage, on street parking, A/C not working installed one foot above the ground attic room can only get out of bed in one side and urinate sitting down or hit you head on the ceiling , no screens on the Sala window, barking dogs at night and road noise. It was like a jail since we could not go up and down to eat. Wife is PWD disabled and can’t do stairs. Had to change hotel. Manager said we could either check out then or tomorrow. We asked if we could get a refund and he said it will take 7 days. Checked out the next day and sent a secure message for refund as discussed for 2 unused days. Manager stopped responding. Had to go back to hotel and ring the bell after 3 days to get him to come out at which point he denied having said a refund is possible are referring us to terms on website. In business two things are important, your word and integrity .This establishment has neither. Found a much better hotel on the other side of the street with restaurant, pool, bar and outside sitting with working AC for 1/3 the price. Keep the two days rent, we won double that back in a. cockfight the next day. Excerpts of exchange with manager attached.

Hong KongI debated a while to write this but I think its important for you to advertise what you're giving to your potential guests. This accomodation benefits those who enjoy the quiet and peace of nature away from the hustle of el nido town. However, note to those that dont want this. It is VERY far from the actual town which you will frequent. It is at least a 350 peso trip one way which you will need to do constantly. Additionally, there is no lights at all during the night so finding our accomdation past sundown will be problematic. The room i was given, was at the very top of this jungle, give or take 200 steep steps up. Staff dont really exist on the premises, its difficult to find anyone to talk too to voice your questions/opinions. Now comes the real issue with this place. I booked for a week, and i stayed 1 night. 2 BIG issues with this place. 1) The sheer amount of bugs that infest your room at night and bite you constantly. You think with a room in the literal jungle you would at least have a mosquito net. When you go into the room you can literally see the ceiling marked EVERYWHERE with squished bugs from previous tenants. I asked the manager why there wasnt a net, he goes "Oh sir, there was a net but the previous tennant removed it". My friend, i am a new guest, why did you not put it back?? It was because of the sheer amount of insects i could not choose to stay another night. 2) The lack of any running water, the shower is non-existent, water would trickle out , you could not shower if you wanted too. When i asked the manager , his response was verbatim 'Because gravity sir, your room is at the top of the hill water cannot go up" - my good friend that is NOT an excuse, pumps exist, modern day engineering exists... After my first night, i chose to hotel hop within the city centre, the issue is that this place is no cheap either, i incurred quite a significant costly loss staying here.
It was scenic and quiet but thats about it.

NetherlandsIt is an apartment with a very beautiful view and it is not that far from El Nido (i.e. a 10 minute motorbike ride). In addition, the host is awesome and is very helpful if there are any issues.

United KingdomBeautiful house in the hills only 10-15 minute drive outside of El Nido centre. The house is peaceful and has incredible views to wake up to. The host Conrado done everything possible to make our stay the best it could have been, responding to text messages instantly answering all our questions. The best place we stayed during our 10 day trip in the Philippines.
