I didn't just dislike Lorna and Bob, I hated them as did all the other guests. They were the only disappointment and fortunately they left after one night, much to everyone's delight. Naidy, if you get 'customers' like that again call the police and get the correct amount of money out of them, threaten them with jail if you have to. They left having swindled you out of about 140USD and that is not right. Please note, everyone out there, that if a negative review appears from Lorna Tangara or Bob, both from New Jersey, (didn't find out his surname) they are just a pair of con-artists. They haggled every price, the sort of behaviour that's ok with street hawkers, but not when the prices are listed for all to see. They had even asked for a generator to be provided for Bob's night time oxygen and said they weren't paying for it! (I would have cut the tube) I've been to every continent on the planet and there are some great Americans, but this pair, in my humble opinion, were the worst. Loud, overbearing, arrogant, ignorant, classless and clueless would go some way to describing them, but there could be so much more even without resorting to using swear words, oops nearly forgot 'sanctimonious'. Not the fault of the resort owners at all. I'm sure Lorna and Bob have forged a trail through South East Asia making themselves unpopular wherever they go. Stay at home Lorna and Bob, in the USA, where behaviour like yours is considered normal, you nasty, hateful pair. Lorna, if you happen to read this, I have your business card. I had to get it out the trash where they had all been thrown. (4 or 5 of them) I know where you work (sic) and can easily write reviews on google maps and your website.

Everything! Complete escapism. If you really want to get away from it all, this is the place. Beautiful resort in an amazing location with the most incredible hosts. Tours to go on if you want, mainly island hopping, I did nothing but relax and chill. Great food, breakfast is included, lunch and dinner are optional extras but there are no restaurants nearby so take plenty of cash with you as there are also no ATMs anywhere close to the resort. I must thank the German couple I met in Puerto Princesa who recommended Dang Dang at Balbago Beach otherwise I would not have made it there. I will, at some point be back to meet up with Naidy, Dong and their fabulous family again. Also to see how big Whitey the puppy has got and to see if he remembers my whistle! I had a wonderful stay at dang dang. The location is perfect for relaxing by the beach and the view from the huts is amazing, so nice watching sunrise from bed. The family are all so lovely, especially Joy who was always checking in with me to see if I needed anything. Would definitely recommend!

I had the best holiday in my life!!! I needed a peaceful, quiet, beautiful place with delicious food far away from crowds. I've found it all there plus on top I felt so welcome and looked after. Anything I wanted Naidy and her family was trying to help me with. Nothing was a problem. They helped me a lot with transport from Puerta Princesa both ways. As a single female traveller I felt SAFE staying and dealing with them! Unique experience when you can sleep nearly on the beach in your little bamboo house. Sea view AMAZING from you bed. Hospitality, help, FUN 11 out of 10 :-) Cleanness 10 out of 10 Location 10 out of 10 PARADISE ON EARTH it's how I can describe my experience with them. I can't wait to come back there ASAP. I love it so much.

Loved everything! Absolutely lovely family, from the very start it felt like staying at home. They cooked delicious meals with meat/fish/veggies/salads. The room and the bed were very comfortable. The surroundings are absolutely mesmerizing, with great snorkeling spots and pristine beaches! This place is perfect if you want to relax, feel deeply connected to nature and get a great local experience (they'll show you plenty of things!).

The internet is limited and there was no signal for Smart but we thought this was more a positive point since we wanted to disconnect. (Dito has good signal tho)

Our stay at Dang Dang Resort exceeded all our expectations! The resort is even better than it looks in the photos. The place has so much charm, with every detail thoughtfully designed. The meals were always different and delicious, and everything was impeccably clean and comfortable. We loved the chance to unwind, enjoying massages and cooking classes guided by the amazing Naidy and Chiny. While the location is a bit remote, we actually appreciated the chance to disconnect and spend time offline. We even had fun playing volleyball during our stay! They also were super clear about the ways to get there since it could be a bit though. We absolutely hope to come back in the future!

There wasn’t really something I didn’t like.

I was looking for a getaway place and found the perfect spot. Dang dang is a mini-resort right at the beach - a very peaceful and relaxing place. Naidy and her husband are super friendly and try to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The meals Naidy cooks gave me a new perspective on the Philippine cuisine. Loved it. And it was even possible to do a cooking class on traditional Philippine dishes with Naidy. I can really recommend this place - if you’re looking for a quiet spot / away from typical tourist spots.
