The female only dorm was quite small and a bit of a challenge to get on the top bunk. Large gap between the bed and wall also so you had to be careful not to drop anything down there

AC was not super strong but still much better than a simple fan! Not a lot of water pressure in the shower.

Nice location, close to downtown and many convenience stores around. The rooftop bar was lovely and there was free water refill available. The staff was kind and welcoming.

Room was fairly clean but we did find some dirt under the bed and on the bed frame when we accidentally moved the mattress. The mattresses were quite uncomfortable and the air con was really noisy.

Location is great - only a.short walk from the town. The hostel itself is modern and staff are friendly. The rooftop bar is really good and food and drink prices are good. The shared bathroom facilities were clean and always really quiet too.

The mattress could be more comfortable. Although it is written that the quiet hours are between 11pm to 7am, there was a group of locals until 3am on the roof top, making such a big noise. Even complaining to the staff I was told that that's a bar so nothing they could do (the bar is closing at 11pm)

They missed out on the little details. For instance, there’s no lamp so we either had to sit in bright lighting or darkness. There wasn’t a hair dryer, no towel rail in our room, a few showers needed renovating (rotting wooden shelf/doors not locking). Our room was hot. We had the air conditioning running but it wasn’t sufficient for how hot the room got. Which really affected our sleep.

The people at the reception could be more friendly and help you up to your room and show you the bathroom, room and common areas. Even when I ask, they didn’t walked with me.

We originally booked two beds in a dorm but when we arrived we realised the dorm was a literal greenhouse. Massive glass walls/ windows meant the room was boiling this was at mid day but as we were the only ones in the room (12 beds) we knew it wouldn’t cool down much when everyone got back. This was with the aircon on - there was very little air circulation. It also smelt quite bad. Luckily the hostel had a private room available so we moved into that.

No facilities in private room - just beds and air conditioning (no safe, refrigerator, still used shared bathroom, etc) 0 soundproofing in room (could hear every footstep on the stairs right by the door & what was going on out side) Luggage storage was just in an open area of reception - didn’t have an issue with baggage getting stolen or anything but would have been easy to walk out with anything! (When I collected my bag I just grabbed and went without anyone checking)

You have to pay for a towel. There was only one shower and toilet for a 12 bedroom dorm which wasn’t enough. The shower pressure was terrible and no hot water. There was also a hair dryer in the bathroom which couldn’t be removed and on more than one occasion people used it late at night.

I swapped rooms due to having to extend and one room had hair dryer and the other didn’t, same with the shower blocks. Would be good to have a hairdryer in both and an extra plug in the upstairs private room.

The beds were a little small and not that comfortable. The AC was at random temperature during the night (between 31°C and 21°C) Not all showers have hot water, and it's either cold or hellish hot.

It's middle way between the port where the tours are, and the port to the longer ferrys, so no vehicle is needed. There is a street food fried chicken place on the way.

The email, and really late roomm readiness.

Great spot. Lovely staff. Took a while to check in and room wasnt ready until 530pm, which was strange as we had requested a late check in (6pm) as our ferry was delayed, and received an email telling us our request was denied.This wasnt mentioned at check in, but was confusing..Really great staff, super friendly and helpful!!!
