Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesI booked this property as a graduation gift for my brother, who stayed for a week and had a wonderful experience. He really enjoyed the peaceful, private setting. The house has its own garden, which made it perfect for relaxation. The breakfast food was really good with enough portions, though they could improve by offering more variety and choices. The overall atmosphere was just what he needed. He truly enjoyed his stay and definitely wants to visit again!

United KingdomThere weren’t any events going on like advertised on the Instagram (yoga etc), the photos did make it look a lot bigger than it was, our room was tucked away down a dark area so we didn’t get much light into the room and felt quite claustrophobic. Our door jammed one of the nights and we couldn’t get into our room. It was a very stressful experience as the security guard couldn’t speak English very well and didn’t have any data to call the owner to help us. We had medication locked inside the room too so we really needed to get in. After around 40 minutes he had to unscrew the door so we had to sleep with an unlocked door. They did sort the problem out very quickly the following day, and gave us a free airport transfer.
The property itself is beautiful and quiet for a nice wind down from the busy general Luna area. A pretty garden in the back to chill and sunbathe with nice kitchen facilities.

United StatesNo problems.
Nice place with cute little rooms, clean and quiet, hot water, good wifi, a couple kilometers outside of General Luna so plan to either rent a motorbike or else you can just catch a ride from a rickshaw or tricycle out on the road into town.

GermanyAfter check out. We wanted to pay for the laundry and gave a large bill and the girl said she didn't have any change and wanted to take the entire amount of the bill. We found an exact amount and there was only three pesos(!) missing and she did not agree to accept it (which is fine) and only after she realized that she was not behaving well did she go and bring us the change. A nice stay with a bitter ending
Good shower, tasty eggplant omelette , good WiFi, the bed was comfortable and most of the time the staff was amazing untill….

PortugalThe reception only works from 9am to 5pm and since we were never at the hotel during those hours we could not get in contact with anyone. One of the nights (like 7pm) we needed something and called the “assistance number” and no one replied (we keep waiting….). Also, there was a water dispenser in the reception and it was empty for 2 days. It seems the hotel is quite “abandoned” in terms of staff. One other thing: the rooms are very small and space management (even with backpacks only) is very hard.
The rooms are clean and the location is quite good (even though it is not in the centre - but you can walk). The hotel area is very calm and with no noise. The rooms are also well decorated and have air conditioning and a fan in case of power cuts.

PortugalThe neighbors tin roof can get very loud when it rains. The access road can be a little tricky. It's minor and we easily bought from across the street but we would have liked to have shampoo and conditioner available.
It's in a quiet area. We were happy to be away from all the noise and smoke from the busier part of General Luna. The room is very nicely designed and the bed was comfortable. The motorcycle rental and laundry service were all very convenient.

PhilippinesI almost have no complaints. The place gave me all the freedom I can experience in a hotel. The downside is the commute. Not a lot of trikes pass by so it takes bit of waiting.
I'm thankful for the fact that after transferring from another hotel that gave me such a terrible experience, Diwa was prompt and available, no questions asked. The staff were nice and welcomed me with open arms even in such a short notice. Traveling can be stressful, but it helps ease the noise when you can stay in not only a beautiful and peaceful spot but also very comfortable place like Diwa.

SwedenSmall details that didn’t bother our stay but might be worth mentioning: sheets felt polyester-y (like not soft cotton), pillows are of low quality (we had to ask to change but seems like they are almost all the same), more hangers on the clothes rack. But all in all a very nice stay.
Nicely decorated rooms and bathrooms. Nice lush garden to have breakfast in every morning. Staff is very nice and welcoming. Quiet AC. They will arrange anything you need. A special thank you to Jay Anne who really brightens up the place with her kindness and smile.

ThailandI wish there were more hooks or places to hang clothes up for storage but also to dry, especially since you often have wet clothes or towels from going to the beach. Maybe a simple wooden clothes hanging rack and some hangers would work in the space. Particularly since it rains or is damp sometimes, so you can't hang stuff outside to dry.
Diwa was great. The location is in a quiet area but still just a few minutes ride to get to the main area with restaurants, etc. The rooms and facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff are fantastic! I also really liked having a fridge and kitchen in the common area. There are only 5 rooms- just the perfect size for the homestay.

PhilippinesThe fabric conditioner they use in sheets and other linen is too strong that I couldn't sleep properly. No visible staff so wasn't able to tell them my departure, had to just leave the key somewhere at the dining.

EstoniaYou definitely need a scooter as the location is quite remote. The beach is close but getting there is not straightforward. We ended up going through someone’s backyard. During the night and early morning, there can be a lot of noise (dogs, roosters, people) and the windows are not really soundproof. It would be nice to know the housekeeping schedule - how often is linen and towels changed or if it’s only upon request.
We loved our stay! The room was cute, I appreciated the shower gel, hand soap and sanitizer in the room. The linen and towels were changed on request. The Diwa online magazine was a nice touch. The staff was really really nice and friendly. We rented a scooter for 4 days for 400 pesos per day. There was good hot water and reception wifi was good. We could also use the shared kitchen to make breakfast. On the first day we could even use the blender, but then they decided that it was not for guests to use :D You can also order breakfast on spot. There is a nice garden, but there could be a few lounge chairs. There is also a rooftop area which is not in use, but a few plants and sun loungers would make it beautiful.

PhilippinesWell the WiFi is not that stable and slow (globe data is much better). Our room was the cheapest room but I was expecting a cabinet but there wasn't any (I would recommend to add a hanging area just in case the guest wanted to hang their wet clothes)
