Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaA lot of Mosquitoes. ( nothing that a little DEET/off lotion couldn't fix) 😊
Had absolutely everything I needed. Basket for toiletries, broom to sweep my room, a place to hang your clothes outside, and a kitchen that had all the cooking supplies i needed. Bathrooms were always clean. Staff and owner was super friendly. Close enough to the main road but still hidden so that it's quiet. The garden is beautiful. Enjoyed my stay here and looking forward to coming back soon 🫶

PhilippinesMosquitoes were plenty because of the plants which is understandable and expected. But if measures could be added it would be appreciated.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The Nipa itself is so cozy with own balcony. The shared kitchen is complete. The location is also close to the tourist street but far enough to have a quiet sleep.

PhilippinesLocation is perfect!!! 🤩👌 Another great thing about the place is that they provide free coffee and water! You can use the kitchen too if you want to cook. If you're planning to stay here, bring your water bottle and you won't have to spend a single dime for drinking water!

PhilippinesThe room is pretty basic, but it has everything you need. Each room has a broom to clean up sand and an umbrella (it was rainy when we visited Siargao). The host is super helpful too—like, they let me know about power outages so we can plan our day. One downside is that the bathroom is a bit far away, so we sometimes skip it at night. Plus, there's no windows or any natural light coming in, which means we end up sleeping with the lights on. The bedsheets and blankets didn’t smell fresh, kinda felt like they just reused them from the last guest. Also, since the room is small and I’m trying to work remotely, it gets a bit cramped and uncomfortable to be productive. All in all it was good!

ItalyWe didn't like that we weren't able to stay more in this beautiful place 😜
One of the best accomodations we have been to during this trip. Let's start from the owners and their daughter which are absolutely delightful! Beautiful people who are able to attract beautiful people. Being around them and chatting with them has been a blast! About the rooms, they only have bungalow style room, which we felt in love with, ac very powerful. I have to say that the rooms are quite small, it wasn't a problem for us as we travel with just a backpack but I can understand the issues if you have bigger luggages. Again, I'm sure the owners will find a solution for this. The location is central to everything in Siargao. The common area has a fully kitchen and fridge for you to use.

PhilippinesI had a lovely stay at Dream Catcher. Simple little room with good ac. The mattress is on the floor but was very comfortable and I had no problem sleeping. The property is beautiful with a big grass lawn and a kitchen area which is great for cooking your own food. The bathrooms were ok, no hot water in the showers but it’s so hot here you don’t need it! Location is good, right in General Luna but tucked away from the main road so it’s not noisy.

FinlandThe staff wasn't really there; for example no one when we checked in and checked out, and for us personally it felt a bit uncomfortable to be shouting over a fence to someone's home if we needed anything.. One of the showers didnt work at all and one was broken so you cant touch it, otherwise it will fall from the wall. The AC was quite loud and was dripping brown liquid on our room wall. You have to sleep on the floor and since there is no cleaning service the bed gets easily dirty because the sand comes straight to the bed from your feet. Luckily there is a brush so u can clean the room a little.
Great location near all the shops and restaurants. Cute, green lush yard. They had a good kitchen that you can use and they offered also free drinking water and coffee, which was amazing!
