Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainI had the chance to visit this incredible place in July 2025, staying for 4 days and 2 nights, and it was absolutely spectacular. Dryft Daracootan Island Camp is truly a hidden gem. The food was simply amazing – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with so much care. The camp is so small and intimate that you naturally get to know the staff, who are incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel personal and special. Waking up in the wooden cabin surrounded by the jungle is nothing short of a dream – the sounds of nature and the peaceful setting are unforgettable. We also did yoga with Haley, which was incredible, and the massage services were deeply relaxing – the perfect way to unwind in such a paradise setting. The beaches are stunning, with crystal-clear waters and some of the best marine life I have ever seen in the Philippines. Snorkeling here felt like diving into a vibrant underwater paradise. If you’re looking for a unique, off-the-beaten-path experience with outstanding service and breathtaking nature, Dryft Daracootan is the perfect place.

ItalyEverything ok
The perfect place for a retreat in the Philippines. The real luxury nowadays is being able to enjoy the day by the sea with your friends and no internet distractions or silly scrolling. The food is literally amazing, the best we had in the Philippines and all the staff is also extremely available and polite. What else to say, the weather was not the best when we were there but we still managed to enjoy a lot: snorkelling, playing chess or other board games and chatting a lot. Looking forward to come back!

United KingdomMosquito net needs some changing as it had some holes which could let the insects and mosquitoes in. But it didn’t directly affect our stay.
Amenities and facilities. Architecture/design how they used local materials to build the huts and other structures. Vibe. How the place blended with nature while still having that island living vibe. The staff were amazing and the food was so good — all fresh, local, and made with love. We stayed in one of the huts right by the beach and woke up to the sound of waves every morning. It’s basic living but in the best way possible. Just fans, no AC, so it does get warm during the day, but nights were breezy and comfortable.

United StatesIt was typhoon season, so we arrived and had the entire facility to ourselves...felt like one of those exotic James Bond locations. Staff was super accommodating and informative. Great cooking. Obviously, this is a glamping resort but the unique design of the rooms and the main facility is otherworldly.

SwitzerlandThere is nothing I could complain.
Dryft is an amazing camp/place. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The huts are nicely built with a lot of details. Also the main hut (restaurant / bar), yoga house, showers and toilets. It‘s such a quiet place to relax and enjoy the beach. We were almost the only guests there. The food was extraordinary. The chefs are the secret stars. Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, they always had four different main dishes on the menue and it was sooo delicious. On this side of the island there‘s no signal and wifi. That makes it even better to be off social media and other stuff for a couple days. And you can really enjoy the nature there. Will definitely come back to that beauty.

AustraliaNothing! We knew in advance that there was no wifi, but it didn’t bother us. We walked to the other side of the island (10 minutes) when we needed to connect.
Our stay (mum and adult daughter) was amazing. Dryft is truly magical. The architecture of the pods, main building and yoga treehouse is breathtaking. We enjoyed morning yoga and an afternoon massage every day, and paddle boarded one of the days around to the shipwreck. Meals and drinks were delicious . Staff were attentive. Pick up and drop off by van from El Nido town square was easy. Highly recommend for a quiet, relaxing holiday - we will be back!

United KingdomThe food was a bit too western and I think it’s a shame Dryft doesn’t celebrate more Filipino culture and traditions. I would have liked to see Tinikling dance classes rather than (or at least as well as) yoga, and a more traditional sinigang. I think this would have made the whole resort feel more authentic, and highlight the unique history of the country. We did enjoy though the Lambanog and Calamansi! The brown rice was also a key stand out!
The whole experience was incredible, from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out. The food was excellent, with interesting new dishes everyday and portion sizes that are just right. The drinks were good, if not a little simple. And the beach and huts, well the photos say it all. Dryft was a great trip, and I cannot speak highly enough of it. If you do go, I recommend adventuring from the main beach. The island is surprisingly big and you can really enjoy the tropical climate swimming to the rocks and climbing up the hills to the trees.

United StatesThey don’t have soda, but the village shop does which is a short walk on the other side of the island. When everyone saw my hubby drinking one they tired to order one too.
If you need to unplug and reset this it the place. NO internet, NO TV’s, just amazing food and even more beautiful scenery. It can get really warm and there are only fans to keep you cool so sleeping was a little hard at first. The huts are like fairy cottages and all hand crafted by the locals who live on this tiny island. The snorkeling off shore is great but bring water shoes. We stayed in a tent the first night which was a mistake as the heat makes it impossible to cool off in. You are better off getting the smallest hut if price is a factor. Transportation to the island is 750 php per person (each way) for a shared van and boat. Breakfast 7-9:30 is included and you have a lot of cook to order options to pick from. They offer lunch noon - 2:00, snacks 3-5 , and Dinner 7- 9. The menus are hand crafted delicious fresh healthy food that range from about 550-725 php for lunch or dinner and 150-300 for snacks. They will customize the food if you have allergies or do not like something. They offer a vegetarian, chicken, pork and fish option at each meal. You pay for everything (they only accept cash) including your transportation when you check out. We were there 5 days and 4 nights and food cost us (2 people) $180 USD and transportation was $54 USD. You pay for your room online before you arrive. The bathrooms were really nice and depending on where your hut is can be a little bit of a walk to get to but they are spacious and provide toilet paper, towels, body wash, shampoo and hand soap. Even though there are only 10 bathrooms we never had to wait to use one. You can borrow snorkels, beach towels, and other gear from them. You give them a cash deposit (amount varies based on item but normally between 500- 1000 php) and use the item for your entire stay. When you return it they give you your cash back. Paddle boards were 500php per hour to rent. They have lots of games that you can use for free and they also have yoga onsite but the classes range in cost.

AustraliaWe thought there were better lunch and dinner places on the other side of the island.
Darocotan Island is stunning. Dryft was lovely, the staff were exceptional, really friendly and extremely hardworking. There are lots of good snorkeling spots and a shipwreck on the other side of the island, which is less than a 5 minute walk on a flat track. Breakfasts were great and sunsets were always beautiful. Loved not having wifi or mobile connection. Highly recommend.

AustraliaIt gets really hot so not having aircon is a bit of a downside, but of course considering the location it's not unexpected, and they did provide quite a powerful fan. There also aren't that many activities to do so probably best suited to couples or friends who are keen for some down time.
It's like a glamping campsite on a remote island. It's beautiful, quiet, chill, and the main building is great. They offer yoga and massages (at a cost) as well as lend you snorkel gear and beach towels. The rooms were a good size and the people were lovely, they quickly remembered our names and made us feel super welcome.

ChileI liked everything about this place. The decoration, infrastructure, staff and food are amazing. We felt like we were in a private island. You can do snorkeling, or go to the other side and see the shipwreck. They offer yoga and dance classes. The best part was the food and the staff, I didn't want to leave this beautiful place! Remember to bring cash or have a wise account if you are short of cash they can help you with a transfer. No signal!!
