How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeautiful hotel right in front of the beach with stunning island views. The place is quiet, perfect for relaxation, and the food is excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist—even with luggage. Highly recommended for the perfect vacation spot!

Verified reviewThe hotel is in a good location off the beach (although this is a bit of a trek if you are carrying your own case). The bar is cool and has a good vibe. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. In high season without the typhoons I can imagine this is a great spot to stay. Close by is a great coffee shop and gym.
Nothing to dislike

Verified reviewGreat location near the sea, quiet, great sunset, nice AC, staff kept the luggage until check in
Access to the apartment isn't easy as it is not accessible by street, but only by the beach, so avoid having luggage with wheels

Verified reviewThe room was small but well equipped – with a safe, TV, great Wi-Fi, fridge, water kettle, coffee/tea, and even shower gel. A water dispenser with unlimited drinking water was just outside the door – very convenient. The staff was lovely, and the J83 restaurant next door was excellent! While the beach directly in front of the bungalow wasn’t ideal for swimming, the same beach just five minutes away was much more beautiful and great for swimming. The nearby mall with a gym, arcade, and shops was also a nice bonus.
Bungalows are very close together – noise from neighbors can be heard easily. Room cleaning was only done once unless requested. The path to the hotel with luggage can be tricky (sand, sometimes water at high tide). Tip: Ask the hotel for assistance; there’s free Wi-Fi at the McDonald’s pick-up point.

Verified reviewDO NOT stay here if you value peace, privacy, or basic rest — unless you enjoy loud, trashy music blasting in your ear 12 hours a day. Yes, the view is stunning. The huts are right on the beach — and that’s where the good part ends. The rest is a mess. The room is directly next to the restaurant, which blasts loud, cheap-sounding music from morning till night. Not just “in the background” — I’m talking in your skull, like the speakers are glued to the wall. The sound quality is so poor, it vibrates through the room like a migraine. Don’t expect to relax, nap, work, or breathe without a beat dropping over your shoulder. The room itself is old and tired. Yes, it has what you “need,” but everything is worn out, used up, and decaying. The electricity cuts out regularly. The water pressure in the shower is weak and barely usable. The AC unit broke and made horrendous noise, and it took half a day to get it replaced. All of this while you're just trying to survive the heat. Privacy? Forget it. The local restaurant staff live behind the huts, and you hear them shouting, partying, blasting their own phones, smoking, walking right in front of your terrace — like your space is part of their hangout. You’ll feel like you’re living in a staff dorm, not a guest retreat. No breakfast is included, so I ate at the same noisy restaurant — and that was the biggest mistake of all. I got so badly food-poisoned that I could barely walk for days. I was sick, dizzy, weak, and completely ruined for half my stay. I needed time to recover even after leaving. This wasn’t just “a bad meal” — this was dangerous. And finally — the only saving grace: Marro, the manager. He genuinely tried to help me, soften the blows, and make my stay less awful. He deserves praise. Without him, this would’ve been pure hell. But overall? This place is chaotic, noisy, careless, and not worth the money or the damage to your nervous system.

Verified reviewTop location right by Marimegmeg beach - at low tide its a bit rocky, but at high tide its really nice. Walking distance to shops and other hotels restaurants. Overall a good spot to chill out and watch the sunsets. Rooms literally open onto the beach so you fall asleep with the sound of the sea - assuming you turn off the noisy air conditioner.
Bathroom is basic at best, staff are a bit disinterested, Expensive for what it is.

Verified reviewDefinitely not worth the money they asking !!!! It has a little fridge but was very weak Tv didn’t worked The water machines hardly never had any cold water inside them Our friends stayed next door resort and for the same price they got a 4 times bigger detached bungalow on the beach with buffet breakfast included and access to a nice pool. The staff was kind and helpful The best part of the staying was a lovely dog, named Bantay. He made our time there so special, we looked after him- he looked after us very well. If you have a chance say hi to him.

Verified reviewAbsolutely gorgeous location! You are literally right on the beach and can hear the waves at night, dreamy! Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, comfy bed, and the team were always there and very helpful. This was even better than I expected and I would have happily stayed longer if I could (I stayed for 3 nights). I would highly recommend! Oh, there is good wifi too (which I wasn't expecting based on previous reviews).

Verified reviewBeautiful view, clean, very cold air conditioning. Stunning sunset view. Great location (prepare to carry your luggage across the sand, it's not a huge deal if you're reasonably fit). Comfortable beds.
J83 the bar attached to the hotel was extremely loud at night until about 9.30. No hot water in the shower. The food options nearby are average at best and overpriced, the best options are in town.
