Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWhere do I start? The best thing about being an adult is having the ability to choose and this hotel offered very little choices for our well being. There is no elevator and they put us on the 3rd floor. With the heat and humidity, this triggered some asthma for me. The way the room was set up according to where the sun shines was kinda stupid. The ac is in a spot where you don’t directly feel it. The sun is blaring into our room 75% of the day making the room feel like a sauna. In their rules (found in your room) they state they have the right to come in and turn off the ac, tv, or any lights left on while you are away from your room. I know you are trying to conserve energy, but some foreigners are NOT USED TO THIS HEAT AND HUMIDITY. Breakfast was ok. It was almost the same thing everyday. Some sort of sausage (hotdog or local longanisa) and some sort of sweet tocino with plain rice. Served with either tasty bread with some cheese in between or a tiny pancake that had a weird after taste, accompanied by fresh fruit and turon. The best part of breakfast for me was coffee. There really should be more choices since everyone is different. There should be juice or something else for people that don’t drink coffee, besides water. Then they have a poster of different coffees they offer and I tried to order the Dalgona Milo, the staff said she could only do vanilla and caramel. So, I don’t understand why you have a menu in the first place if you can’t make what’s on it? For the traveler, this place is great for maybe 1-2 night at most or if you aren’t planning on eating breakfast there daily.
I loved the location. It was quiet and away from hustle and bustle of the busy streets. The balcony had a great view. The staff was kind. The laundry facilities are just 20 (40 round trip) pesos away via tricycle which was convenient. There is a convenient store down the street and inside the hotel for snack and bottled water. The main street is just down the street so you have access to all the stores and street vendors. Everything is pretty close by.

PhilippinesThey need an upgrade to aircon because its manual and additional floor towel because it cannot hold enough water the one they provided.
The Location gets you away from the busy noise from main roads because it's located in inner baranggay. Accessible to Tricycle. Our room has no view but with big windows. Free breakfast is a bonus. The aircon however needs an upgrade - its manual. Double twin bed is relaxing and big.

CanadaWe were on the 4th floor, so with no elevator we got our steps in each day. Also, there is construction on the road in front of the hotel so that is annoying but will be great once complete. Not really their fault. The only complaint is the group that partied on the 4th floor balcony that is attached to the room we were in and they were loud well past 1am. With no in room phones we couldn't call down to the front desk and did not want to walk past the drinking rowdy group or contront them.
We stayed 5 nights in room 401 and were really glad we chose this spot especially when we saw other locations in town. They included breakfast which was ample and had variety in the meat portion daily. - example picture included .The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels, water, and toiletries. The staff were accommodating and fixed an issue with room bookings right away. They also allowed us to check in a bit early which greatly helped our schedule. They have easy parking on site as well and the WiFi worked flawlessly for us. There is a small convenience shop in the lobby with limited basic items and snacks. The location is far from central Laoag but we preferred the quiet and you can catch a tricycle out the front door or down the main road a couple blocks away. There are also restaurants and a 7-11 down the main road if you heading south.

PhilippinesInitially, i was a little concerned that it seemed somewhat distant from the airport. But, that turned out to be a huge plus! The hotel really isn’t that far away from the airport and it is removed from the main road, another plus. I thought it was dark from the center of town but again i was wrong… it took me only 20 minutes to walk into the center of town. So, there really isn’t anything to be critical of.
I liked a number things. The hotel is very scrupulously cleaned regularly. The lobby/breakfast area is welcoming and pleasant and not cluttered. The rooftop patio is an excellent bonus that gives a great view of sundown and the surroundings. The bed was super comfortable. And the big plus was the staff. They were always kind, efficient, courteous. I had a very pleasant interaction with the actual owner and he went out of his way to book transport for us to the airport. An altogether pleasant stay and i have no hesitation in recommending D’Element Hotel

New ZealandBed was not comfortable and the mattress was quite solid. Only had one choice for breakfast and was served burnt bread. Walked in to the door. Service was poor and same as we left the hotel. Rang the bell few times at the reception and no one turned up.
The place was quiet.

PhilippinesThe absence of clear cautionary signage or indicators on the main entrance steps could potentially pose a trip hazard, especially in poor lighting. I kindly suggest adding caution stickers or markers on these steps to enhance guest safety and prevent any possible accidents.
The location of this establishment offers a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere that was exactly what I needed for a relaxing getaway. Nestled (not too far) away from the city's hustle and bustle, it provided the perfect escape into nature. One of the highlights of my stay was waking up to the breathtaking views of the Cordillera Central Mountains every morning. The vistas were simply mesmerizing and added an extra dimension to the stay, making it an unforgettable experience. However, what truly set D'Elements apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Their warm hospitality and friendliness were beyond compare. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The team's attentiveness and genuine care truly elevated my stay and made it remarkable. My time at D'Elements Hotel and Dormitory was an absolute joy. The combination of the serene location, stunning mountain views, and the remarkable staff made my stay truly exceptional and memorable. Thank you to the entire team for ensuring a fantastic experience. I'm already looking forward to returning to D'Elements Hotel and Dormitory for another rejuvenating stay.
