Reviews of Goofy Ants Hostel

The hosts were very accommodating. Ms. Faye actually brewed coffee for us to drink while chatting. Although I had already checked out, they let me stay and feel at home in the front desk area. The location is excellent, as it's within walking distance of Rizal Street and most of the establishments. I actually walked to the airport in only 20 minutes. Hostels should be the next trend when it comes to traveling, and Goofy Ants is a good place if you're visiting Puerto Princesa.

i love the hospitality of the staff, the cozy and cleanliness of place w/ modern ambiance and impressive interior lighting, toilet is clean, love the smell of lobby and reception area, the accomodation price is so cheaper and great location.

there are some things for improvement. - must be a hot shower - plastic cover in bed produce uncomfy noise. - unstable lavatory faucet

We love the location since it's very near the airport and it's very accessible to the most famous restaurants like Kinabuchs, Kalui, Haim Chicken, Noki Nocs and Badjao.

Really nice and friendly staff, the location was just off of the Main Street with lots of stores and restaurants! The beds were almost double sized so can have two people stay if you’re travelling with someone and want to share, but if not it’s nice to have that space to yourself - it means you can keep smaller bags/some belongings in that space too instead of having to go in to the lockers every time you want to get something! Some reviews complain about the crunchy covers on the beds, whilst they can be noisey, it does provide peace of mind that the beds are as clean as possible and free from bed bugs etc!

New Venue 😊 Staff is great, safe area, & the owner is super sweet. Super cold AC, comfy beds, hot showers (use box on wall to activate) & really chill outdoor Patio. It’s in a great area, walking distance to many Restaurants/ Bars with WiFi (turn right on main road, ATM there as well 1 block down). ABC store across on main road has everything, toiletries, etc. Cute shops on Main road with clothes, shoes, plenty of shopping for Tourists. They have Motorbike Rental & can arrange all your travel 😊 Had a great experience here, Staff really makes the place! If you get cold at night ask for a top bunk, if you’re like me & like it Cool at night, bottom bunk is the Best!

I like that it is close to the airport and close enough to downtown. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the bed set up is good with plugs, lights, and USB ports

There weren’t any trip planners, local features, flags, maps, or any other hostel travel information to make it feel more hostel, but they are brand new and all this will come.

Had a great time at Goofy Ants, from the kindness of the team to the shared time with the other backpackers. It's a place that attracts like-minded people, based on trust, good vibe and kindness like the team. Thank you so much for the time here and your help! About the rooms and amenities: fresh water available, clean bathroom and clean dorms with locker under the bed for your luggage.

The only point, which is not a big deal, is the Wifi/data signal low

Location is super near Provincial Capitol which made it easy for me to run the admin I needed to do. Also near interesting dining options. Front of House is super helpful in giving advice on where to eat, as well as in making arrangements (transport to Barton and massage). They maintain the place well and it feels clean. Privacy curtain is super useful, same as the underbed lockers. Love the big tree (Tropical Almond?) that provides cover for the social area in front of the hostel.

Internet felt weak, but then again that may not be within the hostel's control -- yet to try remote working.

I liked that this hostel is within walking distance to the airport but also close enough to downtown. It's a brand new hostel and very clean, but it does need a few posters and trip options on the walls to give it a more hostel feel. I really like the idea that they are working on and it also has a great outdoor area. we were comfortable in the common area and even watched a movie together with the projector and good sound quality. It felt satisfying knowing that there was someone there twenty four seven so you feel secure with yourself and your belongings.

The hostel is so new and they are working on the ambiance and the setup, so I think they are doing a great job.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Great privacy curtains and individual lights/power points. Lockers under the beds. Very clean. Pillow was so comfy! Aircon works really well. Good bathroom and shower. Walking distance from the airport.

The bed had a plastic covering over it which made it a little squeaky but not a huge issue.

New place, so everything is clean and well organized. Secure lockers as well. Staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. About 10-15 minutes to the airport. 5 minute walk to restaurants and stores. Can also rent a motorbike for your adventure. Would stay there agiain.
