Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe were more than happy with everything.
This traditional accommodation is right on the beach. Our room was at the front where we could sit on the verandah and watch the happenings on the water. It was at the end of the beach which meant it was quiet and away from the bustle. To get to it guests need to walk down a narrow dirt path. All the town is in easy walking distance. We ate at the restaurant twice and the meals were delicious and served with a complimentary desert. Breakfast was fresh and tasty.

AustraliaAccess to hotel is not well signposted. Google maps saved our lives. You'll need to carry your bags a bit of a distance across the sand.
Roomy freestanding cabins in a garden setting, steps from the beach. Aircon was cold and perfect. Very comfortable stay.

United Stateslocation at the end of the beach means there is bit of a walk into main town, and initial arrival gets you dropped off with a short hike from main road to hotel which would be a problem if you had a lot of luggage. I did not have much luggage so not a big deal to me.
breakfast very good. included with room and had various choices, cooked to order, not buffet-style.

IndiaYou have to carry your luggage through a small hike 3-4 Mins from the nearest road. The bathroom amenities can be improved. .
The property was beach front. Room size was good and the room was functional. Surroundings were quiet and peaceful. The host and team were nice..

CanadaThe hotel itself is just a 5 minute walk to the beach front restaurants, so you were close enough to walk to the restaurants, but not so close that you were in the middle of the noisy area of the beach. The hotel also has a restaurant, where you could eat on the second floor with a long view of the beach, or at tables on the beach itself. Good breakfast options. We had a beachfront cottage, which had a large deck, and an unobstructed view of the beach and the sunsets.

United KingdomA slice of paradise. We love this place tucked away at the end of the beach. David the owner is an absolute legend and so knowledgeable about the butterflies, moths and birds. We went on a boat trip around the islands which Brian organised for us which was perfect. The only downside was we didn’t stay long enough to explore more. The Pina Colada is a must and the food was delicious.

Really lovely family run hotel right on the beach in Port Barton. Had its own private beach at the end of Itaytay beach which meant it was super quiet and peaceful, but still only a 5 minute walk from all the restaurants in Port Barton. Food was delicious here and very reasonable. All the staff were lovely and helped us book our transfer to Puerta Princesa.

CanadaBest location in Port Barton, super close walk to everything. Located right on the beach with a great place to watch the sunset or jump in the sea right in front. I had a sea view cabin and it was perfect. Brian from the resort was a great host, happy to chat and show me around to see some of the off the beaten path things to see in Port Barton.

AustraliaFor the days when you are feeling lazy, it would have been even better if there were loungers or comfortable outdoor seating on the beach. I understand that these might be added soon?
The location of Greenviews was great. It is at the end of the beach, and therefore removed from the noise and the activity of the main beach (whilst still only being 5-10 minutes walk back to the centre). It has the largest expanse of sand of any accommodation on the beach, and whilst not really swimmable becuase of the tides, it does at least mean you can wade in and cool down if you wish. Brian and his team provided great service. Friendly and always ready to help. The breakfast (that was included in the price) was delicious and the evening meals were good too. I highly recommend you try the eggplant omelette, a great way to start the day:) It was nice to be able to enjoy breakfast and drinks upstairs where there is a beautiful view of the beach.

As soon as we arrived we were so pleasantly surprised by the charm of the place, the privacy of the bungalows and the welcoming of the host Brian. It was a love story first sight! We enjoyed exploring the garden and chatting with the owners who could not have been more welcoming and willing to show us many things in the garden. The location is amazing right on the beach and the view from the breakfast balcony overlooking the whole bay is amazing! The sunsets are spectacular and every night they prepare dinner and BBQs - the set up is very pretty and relaxed right by the sea. We happen to be there for St Valentines and they prepared a proper lechon feast - this ended up being the most romantic dinner we’ve had! It was lovely chatting with the owners every night over dinner who have a great sense of humour. What I really appreciated that they look really well after after their pets dogs cats and pigs - they are the best and healthiest looking animals I’ve seen in the Philippines. 3 days was simply not enough
