The place is really busy so maybe it is more difficult to meet the people there as a solo traveller, but it is not impossible!

Perfect location, beautiful common spaces, nice people at the reception, really tasty food in the restaurant, really cozy rooms, private space in the room, c comfortable beds, perfect yoga classes, perfect beach bar with the ocean view!

Happiness Hostel in Siargao is an excellent choice for solo travelers. It’s clean, well-maintained, and offers an affordable stay without compromising comfort. The shutters on the doors were very loud so it was hard not to wake people up. The beds were thin and hard and the pillows weren’t great. Toilets and showers could be better maintained, often a lot of rubbish in the shower and not enough toilet roll. Swimming pool (across the road) was quite dirty and had a lot of bugs in it.

We were expecting amazing things from this hostel from what we had seen online, but it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The dorms were nice and clean and the restaurant area is nice, but there’s not much of a communal area. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we asked to switch rooms due to loud and rude people in our dorm.

The privacy shutters on the dorm beds were noisy to open and close . Curtains would be quieter.

- a bit overrated and pricey but a nice stay - couple of times the bathroom was horrid in the morning before the cleaner came, made me not want to use the bathrooms. Dirty shoe marks, toilet roll and random crap all over the floor - bit far from the main part town or the surf area, you have to get a tuktuk or a bit of a walk

- I liked the rooms and that there were shutters from privacy

We rented a moto from the hotel/hostel and unfortunately the breaks were damaged. We returned it and asked to swap. They swapped it very reluctantly and tried to charge us for petrol (with no apology it was dangerous to ride). The replacement bike then had a slow puncture in the rear wheel and was unridable. Again, we returned it and asked for a refund for the remaining time we had rented it for as both bikes were unsafe. They made this process very difficult and it was just overall not a pleasant experience, especially as we were guests of the hotel for many nights. Left a sour taste in our mouths…

Everything about this place was 10/10 but the best part was the kind people that work there! Loved this place, it’s big and it’s busy but it’s beautiful, clean, spacious and just perfect if you want to be social :)

Footwear shouldn’t be allowed inside the room that should be a policy coz the streets and roads in Siargao aren’t litter free. Sometimes its stuck in the soles of the shoes. There are also time when the shoes of some guests are smelly. Its not hygienic to bring footwear inside the room.

Beds were spacious. Theres a good space for guests to hang out and relax. The T &B were okey. Staff were nice, friendly and attentive.

Cleanliness was a so-so. They were few personal things just left around the common toilet/shower. Even in the balcony of room.

Location was perfect! ‘Must have was around the corner, beach, bar, resto, motorcycle rentals, as well as other touristy place. The vibe itself was soooo cool! The staffs were friendly and accommodating!

The staff were amazing, they went out of their way to make sure they know your name etc, the rooms were a great size and everything was kept extremely clean. The food from the restaurant downstairs was amazing too!

Distance to town is a 20min walk or a 5 minute cheap TukTuk ride so not really an issue.

The private rooms are really beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. Had the best sleep ever! The staff are also very kind and helpful. There are always different activities every night helping people to socialise. Food in the restaurant is really really tasty and you get a 10% discount if you are a guest.

Very good hostel, it is clean and the dorms are well done with compartiment for clothes. The only problem that I had is that there was no soap or shampoo provided in the shower. But not a big problem. Good nightlife too with great people

The toilet needs some detailed cleaning.

Location is in the center of General Luna. Close to restaurant, convenient store ( Watson) and coffee shop. The coffee shop beside the hostel is a must try.👌 The staff are friendly especially James at the reception.
