How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewThe staff were welcoming and very hospitable. Arranged scooter at the front desk to be able to get around. The food was good we took lunch at the restaurant downstairs. The room was great, comfy beds and very clean, ac, fan all good. We would not hesitate to return again. We had no issue with mosquitoes that some of the other reviews have reported.
We stayed in Room 3. There was no water in the bathroom when we arrived, this was addressed quickly by our host and functioned again that evening. Unfortunately the next morning there was no water again for a shower before we left for the airport. One suggestion to consider installing fly screen on bathroom window - there was no handle to be able close it.

Verified reviewThe staff was helpful, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed and a nice hot shower, which made the stay pleasant.
The staff was quite slow with simple things, like preparing coffee. The location was okay but not ideal having to walk 15 min to the beach in extreme heat wasn’t great and tuktuks charge high prices for short rides One thing that felt uncomfortable was seeing someone (who seemed to be a friend of the owners) not treating his dog very kindly.

Verified reviewGreat place just outside the busy centre - 5-7 minutes by scooter making it more tranquil. Clean spacious rooms, great fan and AC, cute decor, comfortable bed and great shower. Staff are very nice and helpful. They also have a chill area at the reception where they also serve breakfast. They also offer motorbike rental and day tours - we booked a tour (Tour A) through the reception and were one of the few couples who had a kayak, towel and transport to and from our accomodation included from beforehand! Almost all other people on the tour had to pay extra for that stuff and had paid the same price or more - so that was definitely a bonus :)

Hello Mayank, we are sorry to hear that your stay with us was less than exceptional. The room you booked has a double bed which is more than enough for 2 people. We have had guests stay in the room prior and after your check in with none of the issues that you spoke about. We also have our Couples room with Queen bed for those who need more bed space. Our linen is newly washed for each guest and find it hard to believe that you slept on dirty sheets without mentioning any of this to our staff. Regarding insects or mosquitos in the room its is highly possible that a mosquito or other insect might enter the room as we can only do so much against Mother Nature as well already burn repellant coils nightly and provide off lotion sachets in the room in the rare instance this happens. These issues you mention would be enough for anyone to complain during their stay but you said nothing to our team. We take our guest experience very seriously and ensure that whoever stays with us is comfortable. We hope to have the opportunity to have you stay with us again, safe travels!

Terrible smell in the room, sheets, towels, water,.. Worst towels I’ve seen in my life: like fleeze and not absorbing. I got sick here. Can’t say it was from them but with the smelly room this was the worst place to get sick at and I only got better when I started drinking bottled water instead of their filtered water..

As a family owned business we take our guest experience, service, and hotel cleanliness very seriously to ensure that our guests have the best possible time during their stay with us. I am the owner who spoke with you when you said you weren’t feeling well and offered you bananas and Yakult to feel better. You state in your review that “I got sick here/can’t say it was from them/us” and then insinuate that it might have been our water which is very misleading and false as you were not feeling well upon check-in. Our water that is available from reception is from a certified source and used by our guests and staff daily with no issues. Regarding a “room smell” we’ve had guests stay in the room prior and after your booking with no issues and you did not mention this during the numerous times we saw you during your 2 day stay with us. If your room requires cleaning because you are sick then you can always speak with our reception for this. Our towels are cotton and the only fleece-like material we have is our blankets which maybe you used to dry off with. Our staff even supplied you with additional towels when you requested. It is unfortunate that we went out of way to accommodate you and make your stay as comfortable as possible yet you chose to leave us a negative review. We hope that you were able to enjoy the rest of your time in the Philippines, safe travels!
