Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There will be bugs outside your door on the balcony and if you’re not quick they will go in your room but other than that, no complaints!
The location of the hotel is the best you will get. There’s no frills at this hotel at all but the rooms are clean and there will be minimal bugs in the room. Also there was very good aircon and a fan in my room. If you are staying in port Barton for a couple of nights and just need a comfy bed to sleep in with a working shower, this is great.

There was a water shortage in Port Barton and no water was available in the room during our stay. They also didn't clean the room or provide water to the room to utilize for flushing the toilet we needed to bring water up ourselves.
The location was amazing and the room was sufficient for one or two people traveling.

The room smelled strongly of cleaning products. The air was thick and ventilation from outside did not work well.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. Free coffee, tee and water. WLAN worked well at the bar.

It took me a while to decide if I should leave a negative reference, but for the first time ever I'm doing it. Mostly just so others can have a better experience. The problems we're facing can be fixed if looked into. There was “water” bubbling through the floor tiles after flushing the toilet. That was the most disgusting thing I've ever encountered. No one told us or mentioned there was no water to shower or flush the toilet at night. The toilet would fill up all the way up to the seat anyway from previous use from when we arrived during late afternoon..so flooding would result. I felt humiliated not being able to use the toilet or bathroom when we arrived back to the room at night. Because It was night hours, we didn't bother anyone as we stayed only for 1night..we were so tired & desperate to sleep and continue our long journey the next day. Unfortunately The Inn is right on the road where everyone rides their motorcycles through the village, so all you could hear at night were their noises.
The whole building looks great and the beach is just a few steps away. The staff at the inn were friendly and polite.

It would be nice it there was a AC. The fan in the room worked good!
Perfect location, very nice and helpful staff! Very good value for price consider is in Palawan. Bathroom was clean and the water pressure was great! Highly recommend!

There were many ants, even in the bed, so we were bitten. The air conditioner was very loud.

Low water pressure, but nothing unbearable.
Very nice and clean accommodation with an excellent location near the bus terminal and near the beach. The host was very helpful and friendly, he recommended a hopping tour at an unbeatable price. Coffee and a smile awaited us every morning. We definitely recommend. The only downside was the low water pressure, but that's mostly in Palawan.
