How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThey served basic breakfast but we know that it’s clean and safe to eat. And it’s always fresh. Thank you to the staff (I forgot his name ) for always taking care of our needs. The location is close to everywhere.

The towels do not dry you! They are more like blankets.

Verified reviewStaff were lovely and a short walk from the main area.
Property backs onto a rooster farm and they cry all day not just sunrise, and backs onto a property where a dog is chained up all day / night barking, so if you struggle sleeping or a light sleeper I would avoid.

Verified reviewRoom was spacious, really good bed mattress. Bathroom facility was exceptional. Really good water pressure and hot shower. No problems at all. Breakfast included was really nice thing to have when you travel. There is some options and staff or owner Tyron always ask so I really like his up front attitude to help and comfort their guests. Also dining area on the roof top is a great place to chill during the brekky or dinner with nice view on the mountains. Location of main town where is all the action is also a pros. It's just 10 minute walk away from it so that's the deal of you don't want to bring your scooter and pay for parkings. We book some tour with the hosts and even shuttle service was provided.

Verified review•Location- near the highway and can walk from here to El Nido town proper. •Staffs- quite shy to talk to guests but were able to accommodate our requests. •Free breakfast- a good help if you are on a budget trip. (Great with their unli coffee offer w/c is the guest can get/prepare anytime we want to stay on the dining area) •Comfort room- water flow in the faucet is okay. Hot shower is working.
•The noise outside because of roosters. (tolerable if you are used to wake up early as 5 or 6am) •If you have kids or elderly members of the family, they might have a hard time using the stairs, as the steps are somehow steep or slightly high to climb up. Just need to be careful when using the stairs.

Verified reviewBreakfast was good, room was clean.
When you arrive you have to walk thru a questionable area to even get to the entrance. Pictures are deceiving. The view from my room was of filth and roosters. The shower didn't have hot water, stairs to second floor were steep. I stayed one of the 5 nights I paid for

Verified reviewThe view and the staff (2 young men, they’re great)
The moldy smell, you can’t open curtains because some rooms are in a a way to get to other rooms, conditioner is noisy, voice cancellation is nonexistent, the worst is the roosters - they don’t stop even at night.

Verified reviewThe room is comfy, and the shower has hot water. The WiFi if good. The staff, very helpful, offer a western breakfast. As El Nido is overpriced, this hotel has a good price.
I couldn’t open the room’s window. The hotel is a bit far of the beach and downtown.

Verified reviewI like the breakfast because it is a meal. A typical silog's! Well I'm a kanin person! I also love the cleanliness of their bathroom and the interior. If you want an affordable relaxing place away from the busy area, choose Lolo Bob's. It is also a quiet place to rest.
I didn't like their so called hot shower. Haha it is not a hot shower. At first the shower will produced a hot water but after seconds it is not. You will not able to enjoy your HOT shower. So tinipid ang heater kaya hindi quality ang performance. The double deck in the room is unsafe. There is no halang on the top to prevent people from falling. Hehe

Water pressure extremely low, hot water is a miracle, there are indeed rooster farm behind which didn't bother us too much, but there were ants in the room entering around the power outlet, had to raise everything off the ground.
