ON THE BEACH.

NO AIRCON, NO HOT WATER, NO BOTTLED WATER, STRAY DOGS FREELY ROAM IN THE BAR, EXTREAMLY PRICY FOOD, PURELY PARTY HOSTEL WHICH DOESN'T INTERESTED TO ASSIST TOURS AROUND AND NOT LIKE OTHER MM AROUND ASIA.MONEY MINDED HOSTEL.

Staff was friendly, food was good. There was a lot of fun activities in the evening. Location is superb, Nacpan beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in el nido if not the top 1.

Magnifique couché de soleil

Very disappointing – not worth it despite the beachfront location We stayed at Mad Monkey El Nido from May 23rd to May 26th, and by the second day, we were already looking forward to leaving. Even though the hostel is right on the beach, it’s poorly located — far from town and difficult to access. You have to rely on their paid shuttle to get anywhere, which is inconvenient and overpriced. The issue wasn’t with the local staff, who were kind and helpful, but with the foreign staff — in particular Aronn and James — who came off as arrogant, condescending, and only interested in talking to us when trying to sell overpriced tours or push shots at the bar. There was no real hospitality or warmth, just constant sales pressure. The food was overpriced and the portions were tiny. Definitely not good value for money. Our room was okay, but there was no air conditioning, only a weak fan. It was incredibly hot at night, making it hard to get any decent sleep. The worst part was the paid shuttle to Puerto Princesa airport. It was supposed to leave at 4 AM — it showed up at 6 AM. And it only had space for 10 people while there were 15 of us. Completely disorganized and stressful. We do not recommend staying here. There are far better options in El Nido with better service, better management, and more respect for guests.

Beautiful view, not very commercialized beach

Sand flies, lack of power which made the fans not be as efficient (it was very hot and difficult to sleep)

The rep, Harry, was great. Made everyone feel included, did a great job with the social events, and when I had a problem, he dealt with it quickly and kindly. Nacpan beach is also perfect - great views and a quiet and clean beach.

The fans in the room could’ve been stronger - was a bit toasty in there. The location also is a bit far outside the main town

Perfect location right on the beach. Very relaxed people. There is always something going on. Bar games, special nights etc.

The community washrooms could be more modern. Didn’t feel as clean as in other places I have been to.

Nice accommodation, accommodating staff. I had a great time during my vacation. Entertaining bar with games.

In my opinion the great value of this hostel is the location, Nacpan beach is a dream and the place is basically on the beach! You can enjoy the hostel's sunbeds, the cafe is very nice as well, I really liked the food. They organize party and events during the evenings, very cool.

Staff really friendly and helpful (Kyra and Leonard were always ready for all my questions and supported me with all the activities that I asked for and offered me even more options). The locations is just amazing.
