Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeSand flies near the hammock area. Lousy internet connection.
The food menu has a wider variety to select from. Good food. If you are SCUBA diving, this is one of the places to stay. The dive guide Launch is fabulous. She has good knowledge of the area and care for her customers.

PhilippinesLocation is great. There are many resorts in this area as it is a staging point to get to Apo Island. Staff are very friendly and helpful, clearly well trained. Food is good quality. It is easy to swim and snorkle and see fish just in front of the resort. We didn't go diving, despite our initial plans (nothing to do with the resort), but we enjoyed swimming, the pool, relaxing.

Czech RepublicOh the chicken… I could hear chicken all day and all night… the roosters were shouting even at 22PM or 3AM, and that was really annoying. But hey, in the morning, it was compensated by the best eggs I have ever had for a breakfast. Don’t take this too seriously, but I was sad there wasn’t more options for breakfast. And I was also sad that espresso here isn’t exactly what I expected as an European. And another thing to keep in mind is that this resort is very far away from any interesting places or shops, so you need to have a motorcycle or a car - or hire a driver. WiFi was painstakingly slow for me with frequent blackouts, so later I stayed on mobile data, but perhaps that is just my experience - but hey, it’s Philippines - in retrospective I am glad I could text someone. Also, the voucher system where you have to apply for wifi personally every day is very clumsy I think… But please, take it just as a gentle sharing of observations and feedback…
Oh man, this hotel was so comfy and so well designed, and the beach is quite fine - it was just a smooth black sand mixed with big pebbles. The staff here was always smiling and very accommodating and thankfully I never felt the negative bias against me as a single male - they were always very kind… The resort has it’s own boats (parked right near the beach) for diving tours, which is amazing! And man, I had the most empathetic and careful snorkelling guide - cannot appreciate him enough… But even if you don’t want to get in the sea, it’s okay to just go see the waterfalls (perhaps with a driver - mine was very kind, helpful, and knew a lot about Philippine culture - and was driving safely, I would choose him again), hot springs, or just do nothing - it’s really fun to do nothing here - just swim, lay in the hammock, or journal tucked away somewhere… The restaurant here is top notch (very good), they make some very good food…

United Arab Emirates- Quite noisy, woke up to the chicken and cows very early in the morning. - Diving operation a bit crowed, at some point it was one dive master for 4 divers in a spot(coconut in Apo island) where current was really strong. - They repeated dive locations on the following day because there was only open water divers compared to advanced divers like us. But the night before they agreed to a different location and changed their mind on the spot. Quite disappointing and unfair not to inform us in advance.
- Great food, very tasty and well presented. Must try tuna tartar and seared tuna ) - Beautiful pool with a nice view. - Everything was very clean and staff very friendly.

Beautifully designed hotel with very attractive gardens, pool and small beachfront looking out towards sea and Apo Island. For divers, it was exceptionally organised with facilities/own boat and crew etc. We went on dive trip as snorkellers.

United KingdomWe had a ground floor room near the restaurant which was noisy with people chatting and barking dogs. However this would not put us off revisiting again.
Wonderful contemporary hotel, with as expected an emphasis on diving. The rooms were well appointed, very comfortable and clean. There is a "small" safe in the room. The layout of the dining area in the shade by the pool with views of the sea were good. Food was reasonable priced for the standard of the hotel. Free drinking water is available. WiFi in the room was very good, although you need to get a new WiFi voucher every day... (perhaps good for security). We went snorkeling to Apo Island which is recommended if you are not diving. We managed to see a Turtle, beautiful coral and many brightly coloured fish. Great trip and very good value. All the staff were excellent. Particular mention of the shuttle driver who was very cheery and made our onward journey a pleasure.

New ZealandThere is absolutely nothing about this place that i can fault. the only thing wrong with it, was that we didn't stay longer.
Absolutely cannot fault this place. We will definitely be making this our "go-to" spot from now on. Rooms were exceptional, with great balcony views over the pool looking out toward the ocean. The restaurant in itself makes this a 10/10, with the food being brilliantly western, with a few local dishes. The staff were exceptionally fantastic and were very responsive to any requests. The barman makes the best Frozen strawberry Margarita i have every had (in fact i had at least 4 of these a day, they were that good). The bathrooms were very clean, and the hot water was really hot, fast and reliable. I also liked they gave us towels for pool and beach use. Guests can do a dive course here, in which they use the 3m deep swimming pool (at the deep end). This is a great place to stay with children , and is very well located for exploring the greater Dumagete region.

RussiaThe sole downside are the sounds of pastoral life around you: dogs barking, rooster crows on dawn and so on. But it doesn't bother you too much. The place is perfect for diving!

RussiaMahi Mahi Dive Resort General: Date of stay end beginning of 2025 The territory of the dive center is the backyard of the hotel, there is a place for drying equipment after diving, bathtubs are filled with water for different parts of the equipment. Pros: Location (in the center of all dive sites and opposite Apo Island) Large boat (there is a toilet, hot and cold water, tea, coffee, cookies) Availability of a speedboat for a small group of divers There is nitrox Cons: There is no dive schedule (information about the location and time of the dive the next day to find out yourself)

RussiaGeneral: Dates of stay beginning of January 2025 The hotel is located on the coast, opposite the famous Apo Island There is not a single store near the hotel where you can buy water, fruit. Service Friendly reception, will always answer all questions and come to the rescue. There is a transfer for an additional fee (you will be met in Dumaguete and taken to the hotel) Beach towels in the room Food Pros: 1. Beautiful presentation Cons: 1. Breakfast a la carte and the breakfast portion for me was insufficient. For example, American breakfast: two eggs, two toasts, some jam, 1 portion of butter, bacon and a cup of coffee. And for Shakshuka, you had to additionally order another egg for money, since the menu says Shakshuka from one egg with 2 pieces of toast. No butter or jam. In principle, the portions in the hotel restaurant are very small. Room (Double Deluxe with 1 bed; garden view) Pros: Comfortable and large bed Mosquito net provided Large room 35 sq.m. on the 1st floor Shower gel and shampoo provided 2 comfortable large pillows provided Hairdryer, safe, refrigerator, kettle, bathrobe provided Cons: I had another bed in my room, although I did not ask for it There is not enough space on the drying rack. In addition, the drying rack is located in the pedestrian area and you can’t hang your underwear there. There was no service water, but it could be taken from the common cooler in the restaurant. Rooms on the second floor with a balcony and a couch, rooms on the first floor do not have this option. It turns out to be a walk-through yard.

We loved the location and the accommodations of the resort. Right next to the beach, with swimming pool, and far from the national road. Just perfect for relaxation! The food was great, the staff very warm and accommodating. It was also good to know that we checked during off peak season where there's few other guests and we almost had the resort to ourselves. All in all, the experience was amazing for all of us! Would definitely consider the resort again!
