How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Let me start by saying the entrance to the property is in our photos, and we have never had someone find fault with it. The tiles we bought are specifically for the wet as the Philippines has monsoon season 8 months of the year. Also, we have never had a review regarding cockroaches or pooh. We have lots of guests and never had this. Our guests have always commented on how well our place is and how clean it is. Also, any issues can be reported to our host, who is swift to rectify. This is the first time we have heard about this. I would also like to say that we at Mountain View go above and beyond for our guests from the welcome treats to the hospitality from our host.

Verified reviewLarge beautiful, fully equipped and modern apartment. Fast internet, silent AC, big terrace. Everything was perfect - I can honestly recommend. If I am around in the future, I will stay there again.
Trafic jams in the town - a bit of challenge to get to the property for a driver who is not local. But on the other hand no problem with parking the car at the property.

IN GOOGLE MAPS, ADDRESS IN WRONG LOCATION... 2. IN KITCHEN, NO ELECTRICAL SOCKET ON KITCHEN COUNTER (had to move toaster, coffee maker to nearest socket)... 3. IN BATHROOM, NO EXTRA TOWELS (no face, no hand towels)... 4. IN BATHROOM, ELECTRICAL SOCKET TO FAR FROM LIGHTED MIRROW (had to find/use extension cord)... 5. On behalf of everyone at Mountain View, thanks for choosing us. We have many guests, so where do I start? 1. we can not help the traffic in Rizal. 2. when we designed our apartment, we didn't want electric sockets near our sink area, which is why we paid for a breakfast island. 3. There are ample towels and a tumble dryer provided for the convenience of the guests. 4. Health and safety don't allow sockets in a bathroom. 5. We could provide that so we will now. 6. Air conditioning units dont need to keep an empty apartment cold as we went to the expense of providing not 1 but 2 units with a timer once again for the convenience of the guests. 7. There isn't a requirement for an umbrella, just your personal choice. The Philippines has monsoon season for 9 months. 8. Water pressure is due to outside as every household will experience and out of our hands. so I have taken into consideration your notes and wish you a safe journey.

Verified reviewWe loved the host who greeted us. The neighbors were friendly and the location was perfect with grocery store very nearby (Less tan 2 min walk)
Maybe not enough electrical outlets where we needed them. But they did provide an extension cord. And actually that was not really a big deal and than that would not prevent us from staying there again,

The aircon in the bedroom is fantastic, the fans in the living area and kitchen are good but struggling to provide comfort in the main areas. Adding aircon in the living area would make the place perfect.?

Verified reviewThe place is so clean, and comfy. The local host is accommodating, and let us borrowed their umbrella. They also helped us when we can't open the door. We also appreciate the complimentary snacks, and coffee. The place is accessible to Grab.
The door lock as we had a hard time to open it. Still, the local host is really helpful.

Verified reviewExcellent bed, hard enough. The air conditioning in the bedroom is good. Good washing machine, good equipment in the kitchen. Generally, the apartment is in great condition.
Few things may need owner's attention soon. Just normal wear and tear, nothing that bothered us too much during our 5 day stay.

Very hot in the living room and Kitchen, it’s summer but would be nice if there’s also an AC in the outside area also. The bathroom is too high to climb for my husband, we used the step provided so it works out.
