Roof in room was leaking during heavy rainfall. No hot water, but when it’s hot outside that’s no problem. The reception closed at different times everyday with no prior notice, which was a bit annoying because the only fridge we could use was at the reception behind closed doors… A tad far from GL, but easy to go to with a scooter.

The price is ok for what you get. The kitchen was a nice touch, we used it every morning. They offered to clean the room during our stay and gave us new towels. Quiet environment.

Aircon was a bit weak. Water pressure for shower was weak too but it's okay you can tolerate it.

I like the good location. You can walk about 10 minutes to Cloud 9 boardwalk. There's a small beach nearby as well. The staff are very helpful too. The room was big for its price. I like that the room had hot shower, ref, kettle, and free water.

The bed is quite wet or moist when I arrived.No hooks/hangers inside the room where you can hang clothes,no trash bin inside d room.No tv. Pillows & beddings are not comfy & hotel quality. Door locks are difficult to open/close.I've been staying in hotels/hostels/homestays for years but first time to experience being not allowed to extend my stay, they didnt ask me also if I want to extend they just decide and told me it's fully booked so I cant extend.It felt like d guest was forced to leave so I had no choice but leave. I think bcoz Im a genius member so my rate is discounted which u cant get that much rate for a comforable room anywhere in Siargao.

The room is spacious and clean, washroom and hallway are also very clean and maintained. Smells new. Quiet & peaceful, I had a good night sleep. Large bed. Wifi is fast. I choose the fan room only but it's not that hot even if you don't turn on the fan sometimes bcoz it's on ground level and the wall is doubled with amakan which I think absorbs the heat and there's a window too. They let me changed d room next to d washroom. They also provide toiletress and complementary coffee and water. Really good value for money. It is close to the beautiful beach which has a stunning view, close to kanaway sunset beach bar, surfing lessons, laundry, stores, restaurants, bike rentals, chapel, fruit stand, massage/spa, close to the main road, cloud 9,etc...I paid like P706 per night only since I'm a genius member.

In general i don't like air-co. The room only had a fan, which wasn't enough — it was too hot and there was no air circulation.

The room is perfect if you're looking for a budget-friendly option with some privacy, away from the busy area of General Luna. It's located in the 9 Clouds area, just a few steps from a small beach and close to a couple of spots where you can grab a meal or breakfast.

Nothing not to like really. Some small noises from other guests and children, but overall this added to the vibe, a small family run homestay. Super.

Very pleasant and restful.family run Homestay. Has everything we needed when myself and my daughter stayed, thanks. One min from a small beach and five mins walk from a surf point. We had use of a kitchen to cook, which was unexpected and extremely useful, the local markets in General Luna have amazing fish if you like to cook There's a Mad Monkey Hostel next door who play quite loud and monotonous music every evening, BUT this was reduced in volume every night at exacrly 10pm. Motor.bike rental next door and some decent cafes to eat within a few hundred meters. Air con worked well and was def needed! The place is cleaned thoroughly every day, including bathrooms and communal areas. really good hygiene. Kitchen is basic, as are.the rooms, but what more do you need? 😊

The shared bathroom can be a problem. However, they do clean the common spaces once a day, so it’s not really their fault that other guests were so careless about basic higiene.

Location is perfect. At the beginning the room didn’t get any natural light at all, but they agreed for me to switch rooms and I had a really pleasant stay.

The white lighting feels cold for my taste, but common here in Asia. Fixed that issue burning a candle in the room. The sink area could use a new mirror. Minor things.

While this is a simple, no frills establishment, I certainly fit the the bill for what I was looking for. For the price of a hostel, got my own spacious room. The place looks like freshly painted and very clean. Had AC, a small desk, and a patio to hang out. The place also sports a kitchen for your use. Best part was that it had Starlink WIFI 100/20 Gb, which met my internet needs nicely, unlike the other more high-end places I also stayed at in Siargo. The location is great, a couple minutes from the Cloud 9 surfing area, restaurants next door, and a cute local beach hang out is next door too. I had an issue with an electrical plug next to the bed; they had the receptacle replaced in a matter of hours. Quiet, even being next to Mad Monkey. Love it, stayed another time a couple days later.

We stayed here for most of our stay in siargao(we extended our stay at the front desk) as the place was very affordable and only a 10 minute walk to cloud nine. It had just about everything we needed as a couple traveling the Philippines on a budget. Our room was nice and clean with good working air con. A place to sit outside our room to chill and a change of scenery. This venue is right next door to mad monkey too which was convenient for us as a young couple. We could go there for a drink on the night then come back to our room and not get disturbed.

There are times that the aircon does not function well. There are days that the comfort rooms are not maintained. The sliding door is too hard to open/close.

The room is big enough for the two of us. The room is also clean and they also offer housekeeping. They also have common kitchen which is really good for us who stayed long in the island. Bed is really comfy! The location is also superb as it is near in the beach and cloud9. Worth its price!

They don’t have a generator so if there are power outages it will be dark and without water too… Sometimes no toilet paper or bins not emptied in the bathroom. Cold water, wifi working but not all the time You need a motorbike to get around

We had a great stay here, it was clean and quiet. I think that the first floor bedroom are way better than the one downstairs as the wall are real walls and not just some local buildings. Bathroom was clean but it can get crowded if all the room are occupied. The bed was comfortable and the room not humid

No hot water. Water stopped from the shower tap whenever I showered for a while and then returned a few minutes later. Thin blanket.

I had a great stay at 9 Clouds Homestay. The accommodation lies right in the heart of Catangan, two steps away from the beach and the local surfschool, that I used and was very content with. The homestay is run by a family, they are very friendly and helpful with everything. The common bathroom and the terraces are cleaned daily. The homestay also offers a laundry service and they have a small shop where you can buy drinks and snacks. They have a common kitchen, where you can prepare your own food if you like. The Mad Monkey Hostel is right next to the accommodation but they turn down the music at 10 pm every day, so that doesn't affect your stay. I could always sleep peacefully. Can highly recommend this accommodation! :-)

Great location for cloud 9 and surrounding area. Short tricycle into General Luna. Great strong wifi and air conditioning/fan. Very basic room but did the job! Would have liked the room cleaned more often but wasn't too bad. Large room with terrace area to sit or dry clothes. Staff were lovely and booked us airport transfer for set price. Would highly recommend! Great value compared to the rest of Siargao!
