Small little paradise in Alona with great staff and an excellent kitchen

The food was so so. For example had breakfast with corned beef hash. The potatos in the hash were crunchy (under cooked. The Pork Adobo was bland

We had stayed there once two years before and liked it enough to stay again. Didn't realize that it had changed ownership and had some updates to the rooms. Had the upstairs big room and it was very nice. Staff was still super and even remembered us. Easy walking distance to Alona beach if you know the way. Not to far from the restaurants and stuff at Alona beach by trike if you want to take the main road.

They were renovating the common areas so we weren’t able to use them. The resort is well located but the access road is unpaved.

The staff is very friendly and kind all the time. The room itself was perfect, very good size, comfortable, clean and with all that you need. Also the bathroom is clean.

We stayed in “The Suite” which is a lovely spacious apartment type place which was really comfortable. Bed was great, good shower, good wifi, altogether a lovely place to stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at this resort. The pool area was beautiful, with lots of greenery that made it feel peaceful and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help, which made the experience even better. The location was excellent—just a short walk to Alona Beach, so it was easy to get around. I found it to be great value for money. Overall, a great place to stay, and I’d definitely consider coming back.

We booked two rooms that were supposed to be next to each other and that never happened. Moreover, the hotel does not accept credit cards so you have to pay for your entire stay in cash as soon as you check in. Also, due to the fact that they don't have your credit card on file, they hold you hostage at the reception when checking out so they can send somebody to check your room to make sure you didn't steal anything! I also wasn't pleased to have a 3 inch long worm fall out of one of the folded towels in the bathroom. We were also denied a one hour late check out (they didn't have incoming guests by their own admission) and wanted to charge us a half day fee to stay the extra hour before going to the airport.

The breakfast was lousy. Although we were the only people at breakfast, it took forever to get served, which made us late for our morning excursions. The "American Breakfast" they had consisted of scrambled eggs and toast and we needed to remind them that their menu said that bacon, fruit and other things were also to be included. That was the one and only breakfast we ate their as it was terrible and ridiculously expensive for what it was.

The room was really clean and comfortable. Staff were always smiling and helpful. It is set back from the main Alona strip (which is noisy and awful) so it was relatively calm and peaceful. 5 minutes walk to Alona Beach (great for sunset, not for the beach itself). We wished we'd stayed longer here.

This hotel is the worst booking I have made in my life of traveling the world. Multi story building site on the boundary wall of the property where the labourers live 24 hours on site. Zero privacy from the room,pool,or restaurant,labourers eyes follow you everywhere. The noise is intolerable from 6am in the morning until past 11pm at night. The A/C in our room was totally ineffective for the size,could not get the bedroom,toilet,bathroom below 30 degrees,only the lounge and kitchen. Charged for a ‘luxury’ bath we could not use due to the incorrect plug size,even though that was replaced with another one that didn’t fit. Charged for a roof balcony that could not be used as the building site staff were overlooking from 6am-11pm at least. Swim in the pool and zero privacy as you are being watched by the building site team. Dressing gowns detailed on booking,new owners had stopped them but did sort it out 2 days later. Consistently asked to speak to owners,who lived on site,but they were never available to hear my complaints/feedback.Was told EVERY day by the management team that they had reported my concerns back to the owners but never saw them or heard from them.I was handed the owners e mail address,sent them a detailed e mail and had zero response.Only told by management that non refundable but I might be able to negotiate. So many more faults but I can only recommend that no one makes the same mistake as I did as the multi floor construction site is ongoing for a very long time.

The husband and wife management team who,through no fault of their own,were severely let down and unsupported by the new owners.

I like the location of the property as it was only a short walk to the beach as well as to the centre of the town with all bars and nightlife. It’s far enough away from the town that it is still quiet at night which is great. The garden and pool area are very relaxing and nice to spend the day at while eating and drinking at the restaurant. This place is GREAT value for money!
