Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe mattress wasn’t really a mattress but like a folding cushion mattress from a couch. In the morning some of staff was smoking while making coffee or breakfast in the same area which isn’t great smell for a food area or healthy food environment in general.
Location is great. The place looks like a jungle and its very well kept and confortable and nice breakfast included. Staff is super friendly. :)

AustraliaWe really enjoyed our time in Payag n' Kapitan, the bungalow itself is adorable and the outdoor shower is very unique and cool. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We loved the location, close to the port and close to the bay walk and town. We rented a bike through them, and that was a super easy and affordable option. Unfortunately, we did receive alot of rain during our time and the bungalow it's self is an open 'baliniese' style bungalow that has an open wall with lots of leaks in the roof- so we were rained in. The bungalow floor was wet and unfortunately our belongings did too. The toilet does not have a roof, so during the hours of rain- going to the toilet was a mission. The rain also brought alot of bugs, luckily the bed comes with a mosquito net. Except for this- we loved our unique experience here and we did enjoy listening to the rain. Would we come and stay again, absolutely.

AustraliaThe bed is quite small for two people, which may be uncomfortable for some. Additionally, certain appliances, like the showerhead and fan, could use a thorough cleaning. Be aware that barking dogs and loud roosters can be disruptive at night, so bringing earplugs is highly recommended for a better night’s sleep.
The staff is exceptionally kind and professional. They also offer bike rentals at a great price. The hut isn’t a hotel room, so an adventurous and open mindset is key. But if you embrace the experience, you'll find yourself immersed in nature, falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the outdoors—a truly unique and memorable stay.

BelgiumIt’s a family ran business, and they make you feel like a part of their family. Everyone there is so kind. With all the plants it felt like you were truly staying in the jungle. They also have cute dogs and cats, big plus if you love animals like us :)

Latvia1. Tricab transfer from port is 200 pesos, seems a bit too high, it's really close. 2. Dogs barking in hotel territory every night 3. Offers scooter for 350/day, can get cheaper nearby

SpainWe had a really bad night because of the animals around and the scooters. We had the room just next to the street, so maybe the other rooms are quieter, but there were a lot of dogs, cats and roosters maling noise all night. Also, even if breakfast was included we had to pay extra for the coffee (free breakfast was just the food)
The vibes of the place, everything made with wood and very cozy. We also really liked the bathroom. The owner was really nice.

GermanyThe huts are quiet small, also the double beds. And it can be noisy with the dogs around and the ventilation going (if you need it). But its a great experience.
It’s really a nice place in the garden, with all nature around. The owner is really nice and breakfast and coffee are delicious. You can rent a scooter for 350 (per 24 hours), what you should do to explore beaches, waterfalls and so on. There are some nice simple restaurants in walking distance.

United KingdomThere wasn’t anywhere to hang the clothes, we had a bunch of wet clothes and had to hang them over the flower pots. No issue but would of been a perk. No toilet seat, common in the Philippines but I find it weird not sitting down on the toilet lol. There’s loud music and dogs barking, which wasn’t an issue for us but would be if you’re a light sleeper. You don’t get free tea or coffee with your breakfast, I think it’s a bit rude to charge 80 pesos extra when it’s included. Not a great location if you’re travelling to the waterfalls and the good areas of the island, this is best for the early morning pier run.
It’s 4 minutes away from the pier, best place to stay if you’re getting the early ferry to another island. The private shower was super cute, outside, didn’t try to use the heater as fresh is best. Fan was enough, no need for air con. Mosquito net is given and did the job. The pancakes for breakfast were so so nice, best free breakfast we’ve had so far. My partner enjoyed the bacon and egg sandwich. We also got given a blue flower tea, where you can eat the petals and turn your drink pink with fresh calamansi.
