How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewAll of the staff were extraordinarily friendly and accommodated all of our needs. They were helpful with food and activity recommendations. The place itself was simply beautiful. Additionally, the owners rescue dogs and cats! There's a few friendly and precious resident pets that roam around the property. We think that's just super wonderful. We are definitely coming back and staying again with Epic Suites.

Power tripped for about 15 minutes but was fixed eventually. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Verified reviewWe absolutely love our stay here. From the moment we check in through to the end of our stay. The room is very beautiful. The infinity pool was gorgeous overlooking the ocean.. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the service is exceptional. To the chef and kitchen staff, a big salute to all of you for the delicious food. I will definitely stay in this hotel when back in bohol.

Verified reviewThis place is amazing... picture the most incredible, peaceful seaside view, ultra friendly and attentive staff, delicious and fairly priced food (breakfast on a floating table in our private pool was something to remember), and a spacious and premium room. I stayed with my girlfriend, and staying here was a memory we will cherish, truly an unforgettable property!!!
Nearly everything here is close to perfect, but the dessert selection for dinner could use some improvement.

Verified reviewI loved my stay at Epic Suites and I wished we stayed a little longer to enjoy this place and the very friendly staff a little more. The room was perfect, very clean with a nice smell. Massages are definitely worth it. Very relaxing. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. I also wanna recommend their restaurant. It has a a lot to offer and everything is cooked very well. The tenderloin was so delicious. We once didn't really like what we chose for our breakfast and they fully replaced our breakfast without any charges. This place with its staff and everything around it is epic for sure.
Actually there is nothing to complain about that's why I rated 10.

Verified reviewThe staff really made this stay! The rooms were immaculately kept by the room service, with all the basics and more and a pool with a view! Concierge had a kind, welcoming, can do attitude and proved very helpful throughout our stay, additionally the restaurant staff were very friendly and catered to our requests with no issue the food was delicious (kalamansi juice too) and the staff provided lots of suggestions for our visit. We also used the masseuse service twice (we wished we could more but were quite sunburnt) both times were fantastic and the pair of ladies were very professional and did an excellent job!! I also have to mention the mascots for our experience sandy and sky the sweetest pups in dauis!! We made sure to check in each evening for a pamper and play with them.
Personally I have nothing in the slightest negative to note. But be clear the location is not in panglao and you will need to hire a bike or taxi as it is about 15-20mins drive if you are cautious on a bike, which the team helped with sourcing. This however meant we got to see more of the island and we thoroughly enjoyed that. Additionally there are several (very gentle and friendly) dogs and cats that do roam the outside area (though are often too hot to be up to much mischief) that may not suit some but personally made our stay ever more welcoming. I have a severe cat allergy and had no issues - proving the staffs high standards of cleanliness.

Verified reviewThis is the only hotel in the Philippines with a bath tub on your very own terrace! Fantastic personell with communication and attention to every single detail. Very modern standards, especially for being in the Philippines. Top notch cleanliness and nice add ons with rentable motorbikes on the premise. The owners also run a dog and cat shelter and have rescued so many sweet animals and put them back in pristine condition. This is a nice add on to the stay. Super welcoming service and pick up and drop of at the airport at an extra cost, but well worth it. Super nice honey moon package at an additional cost, well worth every penny with red water and roses in the bath tub.
