Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The place was so peaceful, napaka bait ni ate Karay. Tapos budget friendly pa. May tinapay ka every morning, tutulungan ka sa mga needed mo like renting motor at yung van pick up pabalik ng airport. Yung room is enough space para sa binook. Glad I chose this guest house and I will definitely comeback in my return.

The host ate Karay helped us sooooo muchhh! During our stay we asked for reco what to do in the island how to get there! Very accommodating and they even gave us pan de coco, I highly recommend to stay here if youre a you get morethan your money’s worth

Slightly moldy smell coming from the bathroom, which is pretty common in tropical areas, but the host already provided the room with a dehumidifier 😊
We loved staying here! Very quiet location, comfy bed, we slept like babies. Spotlessly clean. We could rent a motorbike at a very fair price. The host is extremely welcoming and willing to help. She really tries to do everything possible to make your stay comfortable. She also brought us pan de coco every morning, which we absolutely loved and appreciated. I can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you for everything!

We had a fantastic stay at RedDot, the nicest accommodation we had in our Philippines trip. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean, hot showers and lovely toiletries. Also only a few minutes into town from the property. Karay was so so kind and helpful to us, helping us with everything we needed (including airport transfers, bike rental etc) and the morning we left she even got up early and gave us a little takeaway bag with muffins for breakfast. We won’t forget her kindness and hospitality, I can’t recommend this accommodation enough if you are visiting Siargao 😊

Amazing stay here!! Host is so kind, helps with all needs and answers whatsapp very fast. We felt really safe here and it’s very walkable to tourism rd (main road). Warm shower, Air con great, very spacious and a long length mirror. Wish we stayed longer

Other than the cleanness and comfort of the guest house, we particularly enjoyed Karay’s kindness and help during our stay. We could also rent a scooter on site which was very useful. We had a great time!

Lovely host who helped us with airport transfer, scooter rental and brought us pan de coco. Good location not far from central General Luna but you do need a bike to get around. There was a place to hang clothes outside the room.

The road getting in can be a little rough.
The host is the best part. She’s definitely one of the most hospitable hosts and checks in with you just enough. The location is pretty good, a decent 5 minute drive to General Luna. It’s affordable with all the basics that you need like air conditioning, hot water, and good internet.

The owner was really nice and helpful. She helped us with renting a scooter, laundry and getting transport. She even brought us pan de coco on the days we slept in. The location is a bit outside from the hustle of the city. Around 5-7min from main street by scooter, therefore it's quiet at night. The last 200m to the accommodation are a bit difficult to reach by van, but tuktuk and scooter will take you there.

Just a little bit far to the center but you know that, so no problem for us!
The people of the guesthouse are super sweet and nice. They helped us with transport to the airport and port. De room was very spacious en clean. We had hot water. There is an good aircondition and also 2 ventilators. We walked in 20 minutes to general luna center.

The hot water pressure was a bit inconsistent, but it's not a big deal because we still had hot water throughout our stay.
One of our best stays ever. Karay is a wonderful host and the atmosphere in the guesthouse is really great. She helped us with just everything. The room was spacious and had everything we needed.
