How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This seems like an overall issue in El Nido, but there was almost no water pressure.

There would be long periods of time that we would have no running water. This would mean the toilet would not flush resulting in the room smelling. This wasn’t ideal but I am also aware this isn’t unusual for El Nido

Our toilet didn’t always refill after flushing so we sometimes had to top it up with water after flushing. The light in the bathroom was also a bit dodgy and didn’t always turn off but these weren’t major issues for us.
Basic room and bathroom with good AC, fan and hot water shower. Free water refill. Nice breakfast. The main Wi-Fi wasn’t working on the first day but they gave us a different Wi-Fi we could join in the reception area which worked well and after that the Wi-Fi worked fine. Location is a bit outside the main town on a busy main road but is still within walking distance to the main town and Corong Corong. There are a lot of chickens which are noisy early in the morning but with the fan and AC on we couldn’t hear them. The hosts have a sweet dog who likes belly rubs!

Clean, private bathroom with a hot shower, balcony and chairs to sit outside. We were arriving late and someone stayed in reception to let us in. Water bottle refill station was great too.

We were woken up early by staff talking loud, babies crying etc. almost every day. They need to remember they have guests sleeping 6am. You could see that the room was not thoroughly cleaned in some spots but it was ok for us, although for the price we paid compared to other places in the Philippines we would expect more but El Nido is just more expensive overall.
One of the few hotels left within our budget when we were booking, overall good stay. Good location, 5 min walk to town and we enjoyed being on a more quiet side. Nice breakfast (not for vegans though). Free coffee during the day. There is a place for you to hang your clothes. Cute dog was a big plus!

Breakfast is buffet style, and by 9am there will be lots of flies on the food (as not covered) and not much left. No outside window, and not much space to chill outside your room.

There was a smell of wet and moisture, which wasn’t that nice.
It has a good proper distance to the busy city Center, but on the other hand you are within 10-15min there. It was clean and comfortable. Free water refill and breakfast was also good.

Bathroom needs some improvement
Warm and helpful staff help us to book anything we need in Palawan efficiently. The room is cozy and clean. Amenities are simple but enough for us. To sum up, this stay is good value for money!

Comfort room needs some refurbishment after this will be done place would absolutely be great!
The place is walkable going to the town proper also accesible with public transpo. Staff are very accommodating and they even let us stay for a couple of hours in another room with balcony for free due to my work. Internet is very stable and fast. Will definitely come back!

The Wi-Fi can be quite bad so not great if you’re trying to work.
Good place to stay for a night or two. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is basic - an omelette and two pieces of bread, but tasty! Very cute sausage dogs.

Staff are not all that welcoming, especially at breakfast. TV doesn't work, though that didn't really matter to me.
Good location between El Nido and Corong Corong (walking distance to both). The room was a decent size and the shower and WiFi were some of the best I've had in Palawan (not so high a bar though!). Aircon decent and dogs very cute. Breakfast was adequate. Good for a one night stay.
