Hi we are really sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay with us. The whole island of Siargao is right now under a state of Calamity which means everyone locals and resorts are struggeling in many ways. This is not a normal situation and we have taken action to make our guests more comfortable even though we don’t have electricity. From yesterday we are running our generator during night time(with small breaks to cool down the generator) for the accommodation. Unfortunately the generator is not big enough to power the AC’s, but the fans are cooling enough during this time of the year. Regarding that your room doesn’t have a bathroom, I would really like to see where this is described since in this unit none of the rooms have own CR, but a well maintained common shower/toilet. The creek beside the property is not stagnant it’s a steady flowing creek, but this time of the year it’s more mosquitoes since it’s part of the rainy season. We recommend in our welcome message to bring mosquito repellent. Hope that you someday can come back during better circumstances so that we can show and prove you that we are better and that it’s actually a nice place.

Hi Jose, I’m sad to hear that your stay wasn’t up to your expectations. We are living in basically a jungle and there is wild animals around, spiders, rats, snakes around which is inevitable. BUT they should not be allowed and we have to prevent them to be inside of our rooms! When we had a look at your specific room we have noticed that there’s a gap between the door and the room, we will take action and cover that gap imminently to prevent this from happening again. We are also updating our cleaning standard in between check in/out. About the “weird atmosphere” I really can’t put the finger on why you felt like that.. we usually get a lot of good feedback for our “good vibe” we always try to be respectful and polite at all costs. There are a lot of ppl around locals, guests and staff and maybe you just didn’t sync with someone which is kind of normal I guess.
