The room for 3 is small and the shower did not work as well as the wc not flushing, we used the shared services which are very nice and clean.

The curtain of property was too short to cover the all length of the bed which was very strange. The shoes and flip flop should be forbidden in bedroom because the floor was quite dirty and with lot of sand.

Staff super nice. The design of the place is very interesting. Bedroom are nice and bed confortable with plugs for the phone.the design of bedroom was nice and bed are fixed so you don’t get bothered by the person going in upper bed. The staff was very nice, welcoming and respectful. There is seats and terrasse to work outside. Shower and toilets were very clean. A/C was working properly.

I arrived to see a massive cockroach in my bedroom. They only have 2 plugs type A that didn’t fit with my type B adaptor, when I asked the receptionist they didn’t have any adaptor so had to buy one the following day. Fortunately the receptionist was nice enough to lend me his for a few hours. The hostel was very quiet… nearly no other guests, and the ones there were working nomads who just kept to themselves so the vibe wasn’t the warmest. I wasn’t looking forward a party place but also not that. Maybe worth advertising yourself as a hostel for nomad workers.

Beautiful space, the room was confy. The restaurant nearby had great food. I appreciate the 10% discount for breakfast.

Like a few other reviews have mentioned, the staff seemed indifferent—not rude, but not particularly attentive either. During my stay, I had to switch rooms due to a change in my travel plans (unrelated to the accommodation). My first room was lovely, but the second, on the ground floor, lacked privacy as the curtains didn’t close properly and had a leaky shower.

The bed in our room is so low. I just wished they make it a level which people like me with back problem can easily go up every time i need to. Apart from that everything is ok!

It’s a very beautiful hotel. The architecture is really nice. Good value for money. The food and the people in the resto is very good too. Will definitely book this hostel when i get back in Dumaguete. 😊

The photos make it look nicer than it really is! The industrial-look is actually a bit harsh and there was mould in the shower.

The nearby restaurants were great. The cinnamon buns at the restaurant were amazing and go check out the Japanese place down the road

The standard room was located in the ground floor, right behind the lot where live music is played until 10pm. It felt more like an ill-maintained storage unit. The room only had one dim lamp, the faucet was coming off the wall, the plaster was crumbling, the bath full of mosquitos, and other friends (cockroaches, tikis). When we asked for an additional blanket, they wanted to charge extra. With this little of a price difference to the deluxe room, the gap in service was not at all justified and you will get better value for money somewhere else.

We booked two different rooms. The first few nights we spent in a deluxe double, located at the upper floor. The room was really spacious and well-equipped with large windows and a nice bathroom. Since we liked the room, we extended but only a standard room was available for the additional night, no problem, so we thought.

The water pressure for the shower on the 2nd floor, private room and private bathroom was so low it could barely wash me. The water also came out brown after the rain. Because of the architecture, while nice, is somewhat open air so cigarette smoke and mosquitos get into the room.

Close to the university, the waterfront, and restaurants. The design of the hotel was pretty cool. Bed was also quite comfortable. Appreciate the availability of filtered water for drinking.

As it is near to the road, it might be a bit noisy, especially at night when the street gets busy. There is no heater in the bathroom as well.

I stayed at the Flying Fish two times. On my second time the room was very noisy for some reason, looked like someone was walking on top of the ceiling window, also a/c is pretty old and noisy too. there’s no way to regulate the temperature of the water. apart from these details, everything was perfect!

Perfect location close by the airport, rooms are simple but very clean, lots of space where to chill even after check out time, staff is very kind, breakfast is delicious!
