Staff, location and the view

The balcony area of the room could have been cleaned as often as the room. some of the fixtures needed attention such as the sliding doors did not shut properly. Too often on the evening, meals would not arrive at the same time or , some would be forgotten about.

The view from our room was great. The breakfast options were by far the best we had during our trip around the philippines. The staff were very curtious.

Maintenance of room not quite enough, air conditioning is little bit hot, breakfast and meals are very few and based on Filipino food only.

Beautiful views of Mount Taal and surrounding trees made the hotel have a breathtaking view.

The room should be renovated or redesigned as it does not meet todays standards and looks very old. The door to our room had still clear marks of forced entering, so maybe the rooms arent fully safe.

Superb location with amazing view over the lake and volcano. The breakfast was nice with a live pianist creating a great atmosphere.

I find it that receiving a coupon for breakfast is a waste as this could be easily done by providing the guests room number and checking the list against it. Asking for a coupon makes me feel as if I'm begging to have breakfast at the facility.

the shower is kinda broken when i moved it a little bit, the ceiling and everything is kinda old and need some complete renovation with the property. Plus they just throw some trash behind their property and never clean it up and i some family of rats running around in the corner. Staff and security were excellent its just the property renovation itself and i will give it a 5 star.

Could hear outside noise from the room like kids and adults talking. Stains in the toilet. Dusty under the bed and night stands. Foyer light not working. Switch on the left side lamp not working.

Great location. Had a room with an excellent view of the volcano. Comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom, robe and slippers available. Spacious parking.

The curtains were all stained with dirt. The balcony door and water switch in the tub were broken. No handwash liquid in the toilet. The TV remote control needs to press harder to be able to work.

first day no room make up its need three times asking to fix the safebox no toilett paper the most tiles at the floor where loose many time for check in/out

The hotel is outdated. We stayed in a deluxe room and for the price we paid for ($345 AUD per night) it is not what I expected. I guess we just paid for the view. The room and bathroom has moulds. The photos they have on their website have probably been taken from the time it was newly built.

The view from the hotel room was breathtaking. Location is close to everything like restaurants, supermarkets etc. Breakfast was great with lots of food to choose from. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The placen was a little dated. You can tell there is a bit of wear and tear here and there but not too obvious. But you can tell that the place has history.

The view and the location was awesome. The food was great. It had a nice selection for breakfast and the Cafe restaurant was good as well

Lavatory was clogged and towels are almost worn out of their white color. Their policy requiring Php 3k deposit which I contested so they just required me to deposit a valid ID instead.

The property is exceptionally located and the staff especially Don is very accommodating. I cannot Understand why they require a Php 3k deposit when there is nothing in the fridge. This time of our stay, the lavatory is clogged and I noticed that their towels have lost it's color white. Breakfast is great as usual with so many food choices. I have a booking with Lake Hotel again on Dec 30-31 2025 and hopefully our room will be better.

You can see that the hotel is old and is not well maintained. Price is too high with the kind of quality. You can get better value at cheaper rates in other places.

The hotel could benefit from some updates, as it doesn't quite meet the expectations for the price. Although not the hotel's fault, our stay was mostly overcast, with only occasional glimpses of the lake.

It was a pleasant surprise to have a pianist playing during breakfast, which added a nice touch of ambiance. The breakfast offerings were more suited to Filipino tastes, with flavours and dishes that were familiar to local cuisine. While it may not have been as tailored to Western preferences, it was still enjoyable and provided a satisfying start to the day. Additionally, the hotel had a children's playroom, which proved to be quite convenient. It was a great feature, especially for families, as it allowed kids to play and have fun in a safe, dedicated space while the adults could relax near by.
