Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe taxi to and from El Nido Airport could be a little more organized and straight forward. The room wasn't as cool as I'd like but as soon as I moved in they brought me a floor fan which was great and a few other things to make my stay more comfortable. Just ask them and they will be happy to oblige. Also, I hope they fixed the sliding door which was difficult to open and close but other than that I really can't think of anything else. I had a great week!
Breakfast was great, thanks to Chef Boy. He was a chef for 29 years on a major cruise line and brings great culinary skills to this property. I was also the only guest for a time because of the season, but he basically worked my meals around my sleeping schedule and my dietary preferences and needs. Chef Boy went above and beyond during my stay and definitely was the best part of my stay. All of the employees worked together as a family and made me feel welcome and safe.

AustraliaIt was quite expensive for what it was. The breakfast was very average.
Good location if you're looking for a quiet beach front and there were a few restaurants a short walk away. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. They took me to the dive shop in town every day which was very nice.

GreeceVillas are quite overpriced considering the fact that they need renovation. It will be nice if the room will have at least some glasses and water on arrival. The place is surrounded by local houses, a bit out from the most of touristic accommodations which can make the place a bit noisy and expect airbnb category more then hotel type of accommodation.
The best thing on the accommodation is the position directly at point of departures for island hopping. There is a lot of restaurants and bars on the beach. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Nestor and She.

CanadaNothing really, if there was any problem, the staff were quick to address it. We were looking for an affordable stay in El Nido for 4 adults and 2 youths in one room during peak season which was not easy! We were happy with the stay especially as our main reason was to explore the beautiful island, it was a good place to rest and chill. Only thing to make note is that if it is raining hard, (which it did during our stay) it can be a bit loud on the roof.
We woke up to the view of boats and the stunning cliffs! We were right by the water and you can hear the ocean waves on the shore.Short walk to all the near by restaurants. The staff were truly incredible! It was our first time in El Nido and it was a bit rainy but they made it unforgettable 🥰 From reorganizing our airport pick up because our flight was late to arranging amazing tours both land and island hopping! They are all local and just want you to enjoy all there is to enjoy in El Nido. Thank you so much ❤️

United KingdomNo Wi-Fi in room for the 4 nights I was there. Though the host set up a Wi-Fi hotspot on her mobile to use in reception. Was told it was because of the storm they had 14 days previously. For the money you might have expected a tv and there were a few minor things like no shower curtain, no liquid soap, no rubbish bin other than the toilet one.
Clean, comfortable beds, spacious room, great balcony to watch the sunset and have breakfast, friendly staff who are really helpful. Super fridge and fantastic aircon

SwitzerlandExtremely disappointing experience – avoid at all costs We stayed at Balili Villas in El Nido, and it was by far one of the worst travel experiences we’ve ever had. The location is in the middle of nowhere. While there is beach access, it’s impossible to swim – the water is murky, and the surroundings are dirty. The photos online are clearly misleading and do not reflect reality. But the worst part: after we filed a complaint with Booking.com, the staff locked us out of our room without notice, and only returned the key once we had “reached an agreement” with them. This is unacceptable and feels like blackmail. The price is outrageous for what is offered: very basic comfort, poor service, and an overall unsettling experience. We managed to cancel the rest of our stay, but the stress and disappointment were already there. After doing more research, we saw that others had the same kind of issues: unjustified charges, poor management, non-swimmable beach… This place relies on its image to lure tourists, then traps them once they arrive. We’re not trying to ruin a business, but this place is a scam. For your money, your safety, and your peace of mind – stay away from Balili Villas.

United Kingdompoor value for what I paid, nearly $185AUD per night wish I had looked a bit closer but I was rushing to finalise before I lost connection, heading out on dive boat. no pool, beach infront full of rocks and fishing rubbish, you cant relax or swim there (you can 'beach' about 10mins walk south, but there are still lots of boats so dont know what the water quality would be like. Wifi only worked from front balcony, not within the room. all night - barking dogs next door, cats fighting behind limited signage - I wouldntve have found it if the tricycle drive didnt know where it was, uneven driveway. ok but generally poor finishes eg main door handle, bathroom doorframe missing etc. Main curtain was connected to the net curtain on the only real window so it was either dark or completely open to the main path - you couldnt have light coming in the day with some privacy locked beach gates at night, I had to find my way in the dark through another property to get back. all in all, its a upper-basic airbnb level place, wouldve been fine at a lower price and if I had ear plugs. Response to accom: no, I paid $181AUD...happy to take a refund of the $60 if it shouldve been $117!
Location: Close to town without being in crowded steets. off the main road, a little away from traffic noise, transport right there (watch tricycle drivers they will try to rip you off - get a rough price from someone who knows first) decent size room with some nice decor touches restaurants, shops, main town all close walk right on the seafront, watch sunset from verandah table and bench seat outside to enjoy sunsets and breakfast People: staff kind and helpful nice breakfast air con

United KingdomNothing not to like
We loved our villa on the beach, clean, large and cool (aircon worked well). The team here are incredibly friendly and helpful, everyone was so polite and helped with transport from the airport, booking a boat tour and hiring a scooter. The boat tour starts on the beach next to the hotel so no rushing in the morning! The hotel is only a short scooter ride from the centre and lovely to be in a quieter part of town away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was delicious, the eggs were super tasty. We fell in love with kabang, the dog (not spelt correctly but this is what it sounded like), she was gorgeous, very gentle and friendly and joined us for breakfast every morning 🥰. We highly recommend staying here.

GreeceWe had a great time at the Balili Villas! Our first night was bad, due to a neighboring bar with music until late and a harmless lizard that made an unusual sound! However, the staff did their best to serve us and overturn the first impression. They spoke with the bar to turn off the music earlier, also found and removed the lizard! They prepared us, as complimentary gift, an excellent dinner with local cuisine and fried sweet potatoes especially for our children! The chef deserves congratulations! They also gave us a massage session as a gift that we enjoyed very much!

The property is right on the corong corong beach, amazing views of the bay from your room, its like they are sharing their home with you, very friendly pets. Amazing sunset from the beach just steps away from your room. Breakfast is at your room and nice choices, great coffee to start your day. Also all the tour boats leave like a short walk away from your stay. Very convenient and quite location.

RomaniaThe place is nothing like in the photos. Was expecting one of the top stays of our trip from the photos. It is nothing like that. The garden is a mess, the reception is not finished. The place needs massive investment for its pottential but at the moment it is not even close the price. The staff was really nice, hats off for them but the accomodation is very bad.

ArgentinaA total disaster! The photos they post look nothing like the reality. Everything about this place is terrible! Do you want to take a tuk-tuk to get there? Impossible. No one knows it, the address doesn’t show up anywhere, and the entrance is down a dirty, ugly alley. The staff is the worst—they’re constantly trying to sell you things. Don’t even think about booking a tour with them; it will be a nightmare! They charge you an outrageous amount, and they add a fee they don’t even pay, which will cause you problems! The shower is awful, and to save electricity, they cut it off, leaving you without water for the shower or even the toilet. You have to complain just to get the lights and water back on. Honestly, it’s dreadful—don’t come here!

The hosts at Balili Villas went above and beyond and made the trip really special. They helped with hiring bikes, recommending places to visit and were always there if you needed anything. We also had free breakfast each morning and a complimentary massage. The location is excellent and right on the beach with private access. The rooms are also really spacious with a huge bathroom.

GermanyWe’ve booked this place for 4 nights, after 2 nights came a Lady from stuff to inform us, that they want to move us to another hotel because brother of the boss is coming and he was supposed to stay in our Villa. I think they’ve made overbooking, but the explanation was really silly…. At the beginning we were very annoyed because of this situation but at the end we were very happy- we were moved to double Gem hotel 1,5km further and we had access to a pool, warm water in the shower and basically WATER, which wasn’t really guaranteed in Balili Villas. Electricity isn’t also always guaranteed, during our 2days stay we’ve had 2times blackout for 30 Minutes. WiFi connection was also really poor. Double Gem Hotel costs almost the same price as Balili Villas but you get so much more!!!! Standard from Europe. Balili Villas is definitely not worth the price. I wouldn’t say a word if we wouldn’t pay more than 130€per night, but for this price my expectations are definitely higher.
Photos on booking.com were much better than reality! . Room and bathroom are looking good, but everything around is still in renovation/progress. They should make everything ready and then renting. Stuff was friendly, breakfast was good. View was nice.
