We had a wonderful stay at The View. The owners were incredibly friendly, easy to communicate with, and always very helpful whenever we needed anything. There are two nice bars just a short walk away where you can enjoy a good meal and a drink while taking in some stunning views — a perfect spot to relax. One of the highlights was definitely White Beach, which is just about a 15-minute walk from the lodge. It’s absolutely beautiful and well worth the short walk. Everything was exactly as described in the listing — no surprises, just a great experience. Highly recommended!

I was staying solo and unfortunately the weather was particularly bad, so it was a little isolated for me (not really in the hosts control though!). I also don't think I was aware of how bumpy/intense the journey to get to the accommodation was either, not to be underestimated!

The view in the morning was absolutely lovely & the hosts are just great! Breakfast was a real highlight for me on the trip, looking out across the jungle.

This isn’t something the owners can change but bring bug spray. Staying in the jungle means there are a lot of mosquitos and unfortunately they really liked the taste of me. The accomodation provides mosquito nets :)

The two owners are super friendly and attentive. The view is amazing and the accomodation is a perfect place to unwind There are two restaurants next door and the food is good so you don’t need to travel back into the main town A 15 minute walk to white beach where you can get a taxi boat to town or coconut beach if you don’t want to tuk tuk

We had a truly wonderful stay! From the warm and welcoming hospitality of our hosts, Jimmy and Nico, to the unique charm of the place itself – everything exceeded our expectations. The road to the property is a bit rough, but it adds to the adventure and overall experience. While it’s not a luxury stay, everything is thoughtfully designed and created with love. The attention to detail really makes a difference. There are also two excellent restaurants nearby, recommended by our hosts. Our favorite was the one run by Thomas – an absolute must-visit. We would love to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend this special place to anyone looking for something authentic and full of character.

The only real thing we didn’t “like” was the journey along a very dirt road. Though of course this is no fault of the hosts or property. They went out of their way to ensure we had tuk tuk options.

Nico and Jimmy are amazing hosts and two of the nicest guys you can meet. They were welcoming from check in to check out. The breakfast quality was 10/10. Beautiful fresh bread. Great coffee and Jimmy went out of his way to make breakfast very early for us when checking out. The views of the surrounding jungle and wider islands is straight out of paradise.

first stop on our palawan tour and I would say the best - incredible views into bay, cozy and very clean bamboo villas, tasty simple breakfast and very helpful owners. If you want to stay out of loud place but still close enough in case you want have more fun, choose this place as it is like from a fairy tale. Will recommend everywhere!! Best way to reach the accommodation is by boat taxi from port barton

It was a lovely place far from the busy and hectic city. Right up against the jungle with a panaramic view of the bay and islands. Super peaceful and the hosts are really nice. We also really appreciated the breakfast with fresh homemade bread, just perfect - hope to come back.

We stayed for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed for longer. It is an amazing oasis in the middle of the jungle with beautiful views and very comfy beds. Breakfast is delicious, it's close to two restaurants (although we ended up eating at Jungle Bar every time as it was so good) and a 10 minute walk from the beach. The owners are so friendly and helpful and organised an island hopping trip for us. We already want to go back.

Our stay at The View Lodges was simply magical! Nestled in the heart of the jungle, the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking surroundings made for an unforgettable experience. Communication was seamless, and they went above and beyond to assist us during our stay. The lodge itself is new, spotless, and beautifully designed, offering both comfort and a connection to nature. Breakfast - absolutely delicious—the eggs, toast, mushrooms were the perfect start to the day! Nico, thanks for your perfect Banana bread as well! 👌 A short walk away, we discovered one of the best beaches we visited in the Philippines—pristine, quiet, and perfect for relaxation. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in Port Barton with stunning nature, and warm hospitality, The View Lodges is the place to be! Highly recommended.

Jimmy and Nico are absolutely great, helpful hosts. The location was really beautiful, the cottages were clean and nice, the breakfasts were delicious and We just couldn't ask for more. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, this is the place. My only regret is that We did not shorten out stay in the (in my opinion) overrated El Nido to stay in Port Barton

There is no hot water, but that wasn't a big issue when it's 30 degrees outside ;), still some cotton towels would be a nice option (I suppose it's because of the humidity, which was terrible at the time, but we all hated the sound and feeling when using microfibre). Also the prices of breakfast options would be nice to know before making a decision.

Great experience with staying in a really peaceful area, surrounded by trees and flowers (but with a small bar just next door to relax in the evening ot have a lunch/dinner). Place is small and the owners are very friendly.

No AC, but that also gave us the authentic djungle experience.

Great couple, great view, great atmosphere/food/vibe/ and great amount of sweat so of course you miss the AC but these guys have a problem solving attitude and will make you feel comfortable with every obstacle that may occur. The djungle ambience is unique. Thanks for everything guys!

So peaceful with beautiful views of the ocean, stars, and full moon. Nico and Jamie were excellent hosts - it was lovely to chat with them about their experience building the property and all of their travels. Breakfast there was such a nice experience - chatting with the hosts and other guests with Rose taking such good care of us. They don’t serve lunch or dinner, but there are two restaurants right next door. 15 minute walk to the pristine White Beach. If you want a great experience in the jungle, this is it!

We had a great stay! Jimmy and Nico are great people and great hosts. Amazing view from the newly built and beautiful bungalow. Location wise - 10-15 min walk from a beautiful beach and 1 min walk from two good restaurants (Green hill and Jungle bar). A short boat ride (taxi boat) or isch 30 min tuc tuc ride (bumby road but so worth it) from Port Barton.

We had an unforgettable stay at this newly opened jungle bungalow retreat. The location is truly magical—right in the heart of the jungle, with amazing views from the balcony and just a 15-minute walk to the Port Barton’s best White beach. Falling asleep to the sounds of nature and waking up to the jungle scenery was such a treat. The bungalows are cozy and stylish, with a laid-back boho vibe that fits perfectly with the surroundings. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and if you don’t feel like venturing out, the two nearby restaurants offer some great options. The owners are truly the heart of this place. They’re incredibly friendly, attentive, and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. They even bake amazing cakes! Despite the rainy weather during our stay, they did everything to ensure we had the best experience possible. If you’re up for exploring, Port Barton is just a 20-30 minute tuk-tuk ride away (depending on the weather), but honestly, we were so content here that we didn’t feel the need to leave much. This place is perfect for anyone looking to relax, enjoy nature, and soak up the warmth of great hospitality. Highly recommended!
