Beautiful character-filled hotel in a perfect location to explore Intramuros.

The air conditioner in our room did not work so well.

All around pleasant and calming place to stay. Perhaps the very best location for tourists wanting to explore the city.

Fabulous location within the Casa Manila complex. All of Intramuros attractions within walking distance. Most streets are pedestrianized and safe day or night. If they ever finish the needed restoration, I couldn't afford to stay here

The bed was very comfortable. The bar fridge kept our water cold.

The air conditioner did not cool down the room or reduce the humidity. It was damaged. Renovations began at 7:00 am directly outside our windows. They advertised breakfast on the Cafe menu but they were not open for breakfast. The staff were very unprofessional, on their cellphones constantly and teasing each other in front of us.

The staff was friendly and the location was central (15 minutes to the National Museeum)

Wifi only worked like 10% of the Day, which was really stressful because you couldnt book flights, order food, or use google. Basicly you couldnt do anything that requires a slight connection

Food was very good. Internet was good connectivity and easy to access. Staff cared for my elderly wife's special needs. CR was clean. People taking luggage to room were very polite and worked efficiently.

We were in room 104. Wife could not clime stairs to level 3. The bed had sheets that did not fit (mattress exposed), Few channels on TV, selectors were not cleaned - I used alcohol to disinfect selectors. There was painting and other construction going on during our stay in front of the room rental (no offer of discount or any other compensation for inconvenience of construction that included paint smell in room). People in front of the room were noisy until 1:30/2:00 am (maybe staff). No water in room service. Room had coffee cups but not kettle for boiling water for coffee or tea. Hand wash in CR looked old and uncleaned between guests. No floor mat in CR. Battery in TV channel selector was low because we had to hold the selector immediately in front of the "box" to change channels instead from afar like the bed. Reception staff were polite. The restaurant area was not managed properly with kitchen and servers clustered in the bar area talking. When we arrived for dinner, I had to remind a person at the bar who was on their mobile that we needed a menu. Restaurant servers need training in customer experience management. Food was good and wait time was reasonable but paying attention to the customer with questions about coffee refill, water and refill, was not present. Servers definitely need training in customer care and behavior with guests in lobby. Any bar service was unappealing. Christmas tree was poorly decorated. Entrance to hotel and misaligned doors to lobby were below standard. Overall, my experience at the hotel was not good. I have stayed there before and my family too. We have memories of good service and a professional hotel (no more). We enjoy the Spanish era feel and relaxing in the courtyards shared with Barbara's. We have enjoyed dinner and the show at Barbara's, so can compare the White Night to previous years. The hotel experience is deteriorating. We probably will not return.

A grand old dame of a house, situated in old Manila: past its prime, but clean, comfortable and close to a thriving Filipino community and an outstanding coffee shop. Recommended!

    A bit dingy.

The AC is cold. There is also a small refrigerator inside the room plus an electric kettle. There were also tea cups, glasses and instant coffees. Bath robe, towels and toiletries were also provided.

No foot rug/floor mat nor slippers in the room. There was also no hair blower/dryer. The room was provided with glassware but there was no drinking water in the water bottle (we didn't ask for one anyway as we already brought drinking water before checking in). You would have to look for a decent parking spot near the hotel since they don't have any (we found one with overnight parking near La Cathedral Cafe).

The location is superb, like literally 20 meters away from the famous San Augustine Church. It’s right in the middle of Intramuros. The staff are all very welcoming and eager to help. Even though there are something not prepared in the room. When you ask them they will take care of it and send it to your doorstep. Wifi is quick, air con works fine.

Those 1-star reviews are just ridiculous, maybe done by their rivals? Does this age-old pandemic-surviving hotel need some improvement in their worn-out facilities? Yes definitely. But does it deserve just 1 star? Definitely not. But the room and bathroom definitely need some refurbishment.

Pros: -it’s an affordable place to stay in intramuros - the outside of the building is beautiful -the courtyard is lovely and connects to other courtyards in Casa Manila etc -the shower is in the same room as the toilet but doesn’t leak on it - mattresses in the executive twin room were comfortable -fridge and kettle in room -air conditioning worked well

Cons: -dirty - had to ask for towels and toilet paper, and then was given one roll of toilet paper for two rooms - was there for three days and someone else’s dishes were outside our room the whole time. - lots of rubbish and dog poo outside
