How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No elevator for guests and the room was at the second floor.
Very nice position, clean rooms very comfortable beds. Very nice staff, they also help me with my big luggage

The lift was not working and it was hard to carry luggage to the top floor. In the room there were tea/coffee facilities but no actual cups, just water glasses.
As a family we liked proximity to train station and shopping centre. The apartment was very clean and warm.

Clean rooms and atmosphere, everything went easy and without problems. Got the code to hotel, picked keys, enjoyed our vacation, dropped the keys in the lobby and left. Would recommend to anyone travelling.

Not the best single bed setting and it was attached to the waredrobe so couldn't move it. Bit noisy from other guests, thin walls I take it...

The hotel is located right in the middle of Gdansk, in a quiet neighborhood near a major crossroad. The tram stop is only a few minutes of walking away and will get you comfortably to anywhere in Gdansk, whether you want to spend the day on a beach, exploring the old town or cycling to the Westerplatte. Rooms are very cozy and clean, with everything you will need. If I ever come to Gdansk in the future I will definitely be staying here again!

No condition in the room - it was a bit hot. The bed was broken and was unstable.
The price was cheap. Good breakfasts, not too expensive. Not far from shopping mall and the center. Polite staff.

The place is well located, close to SKM station and the trams. Nearby there are 2 big shopping malls with many stores. The hotel itself is clean, spacious with friendly stuff that are always ready help and support where they can. You get a nice gift of a free visit to the hotel’s gym. Right next to the hotel there is Zabka that is working everyday. Definitely will stay here again when visiting Gdańsk or nearby cities. Thank you!

Only the weather in Gdansk should have been better. Everything else was very good.
The breakfast was very good The location of the facility is good. The tram stop is very close. In general, city traffic in Gdansk is very well organized.

Our room was never cleaned during our whole stay. The floor was very dirty and we had nothing to sweep it up so it was very uncomfortable to walk in the room without shoes on. There was no traditional front desk to visit for questions or needs. We did not not know how to get more towels or toilet paper so the result was we asked the only human we saw - the breakfast attendant. We didn't know if this was correct but we did not feel any other option. I am accustomed to hotels that clean the room, change the sheets, get fresh towels, refill toilet paper, etc. but none of this happened until we asked. The shower curtain was flimsy and kept blowing in during a shower resulting in water on the floor. We only had 1 extra towel so we had to use that to clean up the water on the floor after every shower.
Breakfast was great - lots of choices and very pleasant server. The rooms were a good size. The beds were comfortable. We arrived early and the hotel let us check in early. I was able to communicate over email and always got a quick and helpful response.

The TV had very few options for english language channels. Even movies were DUBed in polish. :D
Very close to everything you need. Public transport, shops and ect. Very clean area and pretty quiet.

No reception in place (but easy instructions to check in and later checked out) , so no option to leave lagguages before/after stay, but Galeria Baltycka has that option for 1.00£per day per item!
Location,location, location! Nice, clean room, good choice for breakfast. Great public transport around and Galeria Baltycka with shopping, food options, AND LOCKERS!!!

I just had a single bed. I am always travelling alone and I don’t remember when I had a single bed. :) but for one night this was totally fine for me. So I definitely recommend this accommodation.
I stayed only one night! For the price everything was excellent! There was Even coffee/tea in the room.
