How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

really comfy spot. oldschool hostel. very friendly staff. answered everything i needed to know about checkout. very quiet location near the centre. worth the money for sure. definitely will come back!

There was no air conditioning and the lockers were rather small, even for my small Ryanair bag.
The atmosphere is great. It's a really cosy and old school interior. The way the kitchen and the lounge area are laid out facilitates social interaction and does so better than most hostels. There's also free tea available.

Sadly in the dormitory you don’t have any privacy because there are no curtains or anything like that.

Staff is extremely kind; he gave me all the information I needed to have the best stay. The hostel is comfortable and very clean. I really liked the common room.

The doors to rooms don’t lock.
Very nice interior and it’s quiet at night people are respectful. The staff are also very nice - allow you to keep luggage after checkout! Very close to old town as well just a few minute!

Well maintained, big room, comfy bed, nice stuff (the dog too), have a small discount for the nearby restaurant with the same name, showers and bathrooms are in good condition.

This hostel was exactly as described on the website—full of charm and atmosphere! The decor and overall vibe make it a truly special place to stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A special mention goes to the sweetest dog, who absolutely deserves a full-time position there! The location is perfect—tucked away on a quiet street, yet within walking distance of everything: the Old Town, the National Forum of Music, and the Philharmonic. Plus, there are several great restaurants nearby (easily >20 within a minute walk). One thing to note is that while the room doors do shut, they are not lockable, which may be a consideration for those who do not feel comfortable with it. There are lockers on site available at no extra charge. And the general vibe is very safe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy and well-located place to stay!

All was good.

It was a bit hard to find the hostel. But the receptionist was so helpful to help me to find.
The location is perfect as it is right in the city centre. The host was very helpful and friendly.

Oh my gosh 😍 fantastic. This hostel feels like home. It's very comfortable, the staff make it even better. There's a lot of nice restaurants close, and the Old Town is no more than a 10 minute walk. The rooms are clean and not crowded. Couldn't ask for any better. This is 👍👍👍👍 for sure.

Not much space and equipment for cooking. But the living room is really cozy.
It's a beautiful place, tastefully decorated, far away from the usual charmless hostels. The perfect place to rest and read books. It’s usually pretty quiet.

The bathroom would be better. There is only one toilet cabine and two shower cabins. It may cause to wait for a while.
Cleanliness, location, ambiance were great. I loved it. The price I paid almost met my expectations

WiFi is very slow, I decided to use mobile internet, because websites do not load on WiFi. There is no light and electrical socket next to bed. Also it would be good to renovate the bathroom.
Hostel is in the city center, just 10 minutes walk to market square. Staff is helpful and nice. Free tee and coffee is good practice. Below hostel, there is a restaurant with tasty food. Whole place is clean.
