How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewLocation and the view are astounding. Perfect sunset, horses on the pasture, sound of the stream nearby. This made it up for all the flaws.
Dinner included into half board was mediocre at best. Very surprising was that you could not get tea or coffee for dinner, only at additional price. Service in the restaurant was borderline rude.

Verified reviewLovely terrace with a stunning view- a pleasure to have your breakfast there. We enjoyed the nice little spa area - saunas were great and we loved the couples massage. The room was clean and pleasant and the reception staff were very helpful.
The restaurant was the weakest past of the establishment. Food was ok but could do with less variety/ showmanship and more attention to detail. For example we ordered a burger and were given black gloves to eat it with (very fancy) but were never asked how we want it cooked (and in fact it came quite overdone). Waiting staff at the restaurant, though very lovely and kind, could be a bit more attentive - we waited for ages to order desert and in the end left as no one asked if we wanted any. Another night, we asked our waiter where their house wine was from- she didn’t know and didn’t offer to find out either.

Verified reviewLocation is amazing. Quiet with amazing view, that is definitely the biggest benefit of this hotel. Breakfast was also great, nice range, even though it was available only from 7:30 - a bit late if you want to hike. Spa was small and nice and empty, so good combination.
Dinner was the weakest spot. One night, the food was amazing but other nights it was like from a different cook. You had a choice of 2 meals but it was very basic, mostly fries with fried fish or meat. Quite disappointed with dinner, would not recommend. Restaurant staff was a bit slow and barely spoke english.

Verified reviewBeautiful view, and friendly staff. You feel very welcome there. The food in the restaurant was really good! Complements again to the chef, and our waiter(blonde) was so friendly and nice. Amazing view!
Not so good in talking English, but at least they understand a lot. The only thing that I notice in my room, but I have been managing an hotel myself, the electric wire in the hairdryer was full of dust. But the rest of the room was spotless. So I didn’t bother med that much, just a feedback. Remember the small details. ☺️

Verified reviewWe spent 2 nights in Hotel Kopieniec. The staff was very helpful and we got a room upgrade which brought us an amazing experience: the balcony with breathtaking view on the Tatry mountains, a very comfortable bed and quiet room, and a large bathroom with window and bathtub. The breakfast or aperitivo on the terrace surrounded with fields and flowers was enchanting. We definitely recommend the place and would visit it again!

Verified reviewThe view from the room is incredible, the location is great for close-by hiking trips and the food from the kitchen was very good and offered a great variety (we had half board). The restaurant and the terrace are nice, especially the sun coming g through the windows for sunset. The staff was mostly very nice and pleasant. The sheep that love a good scratch are very cute and the quiet of the place is of course commendable.
The sauna and spa are are very small and there are only 3 lounge chairs for relaxing in total, which is definitely not enough for a hotel of this size. Also, the ceiling and walls would need to be renovated again to present a better atmosphere. The room was in places also a bit worn down which could however easily be fixed to keep up the expectations one might have for a 4-star hotel. Although you can of course hide certain parts, the full glass bathroom is indeed only suitable when you are very comfortable in sharing everything with your travelling partner. The communication among the staff, especially with foreign guests, could be better (we communicated dietary requirements to the reception and it was not passed on to the kitchen). The offer to order fresh eggs could be displayed more openly and the coffee machine could also use an upgrade for quality.

We had no shower in our room, only a bath which was not convenient and came as a surprise. There are no kettles in the rooms

Verified reviewFamily-friendly, quiet, clean environment, beautiful view of the mountains, after a full day spent on the super ski slope located 100 meters away, we enjoyed the sauna and then the dinner that exceeded all our expectations.

Verified reviewThe location is removed from the main streets and because of this it feels like a real hidden treasure - we were surrounded by mountains and blue firs, it was truly magical. Understanding, ready to go to the meeting in any matters and help staff - real professionals. The SPA area is wonderful, the Finnish and Turkish bath are spacious, there are sunbeds for rest and water, everything is very well thought out. Spacious parking area.
Very weak Wi-Fi, but I watched movies on TVs without any problems, local Wi-Fi is not suitable for work that requires a stable Internet connection. It was also difficult to even watch YouTube from your phone. The arrangement of the shower and toilet is not suitable for a large family due to the design features - the entire bathroom area is made of glass and there is no possibility of privacy, there is a curtain, but it does not cover completely, which makes it uncomfortable to take a shower, etc. Also, in some rooms with a bathroom inside it is very difficult to take a shower, as there is no curtain and all the water is on the floor. We need to adapt a little so as not to pour anything.

Verified reviewWe like our leisure in this hotel. It is nice and cozy hotel with nice views, also rooms have very big bathroom. In the reception we got all information we need, receptionist was very helpful and smiling. Also I like wide selection of breakfast, everything was really tasty and you could try polish dishes.

Verified reviewUnfortunately, due to the angular shape of the roof, the ceiling in our room was vividly damaged by the lamps, which is a pity, because the hotel and rooms are beautiful and charming. Our suggestion to the owner would be to refresh the ceilings and place the lamps in safer spots to reduce the risk of damage to the ceiling

Verified reviewThe view from the bedroom balcony is very beautiful
The bathroom has no privacy, as it is made entirely of glass, which makes it uncomfortable. The bed is positioned under the ceiling, which means that when you move, you bump into the ceiling. There are few food options for dinner, which is not pleasant. And it was not possible to use the spa service because there were no set times, which meant that it was not possible to enjoy it. The only time available was the day after check-out time, which is unpleasant. And what makes me not interested in recommending it, as I was a guest, there was no interest in offering the spa service.
